The family chose Pei Wei for dinner tonight (10/15/2008) and it was a fantastic choice. Pei Wei is the "quick serve" sibling of P.F. Chang's. Chang's seems to be test marketing (although they have more stores than one would have in a test market phase) the idea of getting their type of Asian Fusion food but in a fast food sort of way. If you've been to places like GoRoma you'll get the set-up. You order at a counter and then you're given a number and you can grab your table and your drinks. Then your food is brought out to you by a server. You skip the waiter/waitress sort of business model but you get some really tasty food. Mom got Mongolian Chicken and MK the Mongolian Beef. Both were pretty good and come with your choice of white or brown steamed rice. I opted for the Orange Peel Beef which had a little kick to it but nothing to be concerned about if you don't like spicy. Dad got the Sweet and Sour Chicken which was the only order at the table that had the chicken breaded. He said it had just the right amount of breading. We also had some appetizers: the Chicken Lettuce Wraps which is a PF Chang's signature item and an order of Crab Wontons. The only bad thing with this style of dining is that they just crank out the orders and so we had only just STARTED our starters when the main courses showed up. There's just no ability to pace the meal and that's what you miss by not having a waiter. But all-in-all, the ability to refill your own drink and enjoy top quality Asian fusion type food for roughly $8.00 a head (not including drink and starters) is pretty darn good in these economic times. read more

This is my favorite Pei Wei. It's a really hard menu to execute consistently and I think they do a great job. I eat here 2-3 times a week and I think they nail it 9/10 times. Location is clean and the wait times are always pretty good. read more

We ordered dinner from Pei Wei in Stuart Fl. and we will never go there again. The food was extremely bland and our orange chicken had hair in it. Finding one hair was bad enough, but upon further inspection found even more hair. I called the restaurant to give them the chance to correct what happened and was told a manager would call me. I never received a call back. I will never go there again and would not recommend this Pei Wei to anyone I know. read more

I ordered an online order with Uber eats (which Uber eats was perfect on time very respectable driver Brian ) when I received my order it was supposed to be Calliflower rice with chicken and shrimp - PLANE as day said shrimp on the order . So I called the guy on the other end said he did not see shrimp on the order he said to please call him back after I looked at the receipt again , So I did he said he was too busy to call him back in 30 mins ??? My mean at Pei Wei was out of this world. They have a large selection of food. My personal favorite meal is the chicken orange peel. You can get the Orange peel with steak also. I love this restaurant because Asian food is my all time favorite food in the world. I can't wait to go their again. Overall the food was fabulous. Ordered 2 dinners online. I ordered Wei Veggie Orange Chicken, with brown rice, Overcooked, tough chicken, no orange flavor whatsoever, and so salty I couldn't eat it, trashed it. My husband ordered Mongolian Steak with white rice. His was not overcooked, however the sauce had so much sugar in it, seemed as though he was eating a dessert. Resturant was almost empty. Most tables were not ready for guests. Dirty from previous guests. 2 of the 3 meals were promptly served. Good grief. Last weekend i tried this place again after a few less than exciting meals. Both of my dishes were tasteless and the shrimp that was part of the order had been replaced with chicken and tofu since they ran out of shrimp. The price was adjusted accordingly which is good but both dishes were seriously lacking in flavour. The pad thai was nothing like any pad thai I have had before... starchy noodles stuck together and almost no flavour to the sauce. So disappointing that I threw that dish out. I'm am at Pei Wei in Stuart and I ordered beef fried rice with xtra onions I got my meal with no onions when I showed it to the manager he ask the cook to make some onions and scallions 3 min later he comes back with onions barely cooked basically still white and scallions raw when I cut into my beef it was raw I called him over to show it to him and he had an attitude of oh well. I ordered the Sesame Chicken dish. The chicken was good but there was a bit too much ginger in the meal, it overpowered the chicken. The rice was undercooked which was unfortunate. The wait time was pleasant, I was in and out in less than ten minutes during lunch hour and it was quite a bit of people in the dining area. When ordering on the phone for takeout we were told to hold. I have no problem with that, however they kept us on hold for a whole hour! I am not exaggerating. We are frequent diners of Pei Wei in California. So we were a bit disappointed at this Stuart, Fl location. The girl who helped us was very nice and polite. The food was okay, although broccoli in fried rice wasn't fresh. The biggest problem was all the employees who were either on break or just getting off. Several of them came in with Dominos pizza and sat and ate at one of the tables inside! Obviously no manager was on duty. Then, they walked out front and all sat and smoked. My wife and 10 year old son are extremely sensitive to smoke and so we were unable to sit outside to wait for our friends. Just not the best way to represent your restaurant and certainly not inviting. read more

Beware when you order food to go; perhaps even consider opening each entree and viewing it using your phone flashlight to assure proper preparation. Our order was mixed up (put stir fried food on wrong base) meaning that scallions wound up on noodle base, making both portions inedible to one of us that detests onions and the other who does not like Pei Wei's noodles. Call to store within a half hour of picking up food to see what could be done was met first with "we'll issue you a refund",then after the woman who said that asked a colleague how to do this, the response changed to "we can't find your order, the manager will call you." This is in spite of giving them the order number straight from the receipt. Three days later and no call. Either on duty manager should be empowered to make necessary adjustments or mythical manager referred to during call should actually exist and follow up. read more

I love the food here, and the smell is incredible while you wait for your food to be freshly prepared. I would have given 5 stars, but on crowded evenings, it's a bit noisy in there. They have a great gluten-free menu, too! Not just one or two things like most places. read more

I thought it was ok, very bland chicken fried rice it tasted like something frozen in the grocery store and there was literally 5 small pieces of chicken in the whole container. Another instance where I would like yelp to have a half star option, cause I'd actually give it 2.5. The girl taking out order was so kind and patient (ugh, teenage boys deciding what to eat) that I'm bumping the stars up to 3. I like that I can get fried rice with no egg, but food is bland. Terrible. Ordered dinner tonight and it was awful. The Mongolian chicken and no sauce on it. The orange chicken was tasteless. Paid extra for white meat chicken and it was very tough. This place is kinda cool. Nice little fast casual place with fresh food. No servers, but they have food runners and leave the soda fountain to you. Its a very clean restaurant and is generally pretty busy. I had the korean barbecue and it was very bold and flavorful. Nice tender meat and it was complimented with white rice. We started things off with the crab Rangoon which was also very good. It was deep fried to perfecrion and they were very generous with the filling. It was served with sweet chili sauce, which is good on everything! Although a little pricy for your normal chinese takeout, it was well worth it. Definitely above an average chinese place! It makes a great lunch break or special little treat to take the family on. I cant complain at all! read more
