We are not ones to complain usually, and we give feedback to the store under their survey first to let them know where there may be an internal issue with service or quality. We've ordered delivery a couple of times now, and have to say the quality of the food is extremely poor, dry, flavorless, lukewarm and actually pricey - especially when ordering through the Pei Wei App. I've eaten in Pei Wei around the US, and previously found it to be fresh and pretty tasty - they have Gluten Free options so it's great for us in that respect but the food at this location was so flavorless and dry I would not ever order from there again, even thought we like the items and the GF aspect of the menu. Not sure what they do with the internal surveys there, as we expressed some serious concerns when spending $40 - $60 for 2 entrees and fried rice delivered but no contact from the store, so maybe it's a national thing (PF Chang mother company I believe, which is usually also GREAT). Sad to report this, but don't go to this location, they seem to have problems with consistency, talent in the kitchen and oversight of quality. (Apologies for not having any photos for this review). The food was delicious, it was still steamy by the time we finished. I had the firecracker chicken with the one level of spice, which was just the right amount. The service could have been better. The cooks had kept looking back at us as we are our food. The ambiance of the area was nice, although it was quite plain. This was my initial visit to this particular Pei Wei location. I went for the purpose of picking up a to go order for my boss. I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and layout of the restaurant. Moreover, I appreciated the fact her order was ready when I arrived 7 minutes early. I'm a fan of the Pei Wei and I look forward to visiting when I am in town. I've been to Pei Wei in Arizona, Tennessee, and a few other places. Pei Wei is the deliciousness of PF Changs with a faster, more relaxed atmosphere. Pei Wei chains don't reach up into NY and I'm probably lucky for that. I'm sure I'd be floored by the calorie content that would be posted on the menu boards in the restaurant, as is done with all chain restaurants in NY. I typically have the lettuce wraps and the Kung Pao Chicken but this time I had the Thai Dynamite Chicken and lettuce wraps. Everything was tasty and delivered to the table quickly. We just beat the lunch rush so we were lucky to get a table and drinks before people were hovering to try to push us out of our nest. This location has taken a beating. They are in desperate need of new tables (they are worn, with scratches, scuffs, and etched love notes) as well as plates and glasses. Everything looks beat down and tired. read more

Omg, loved loved this place, the format on how you order, the open kitchen where I can watch them cook, the modern decorating, and oh yes the food cooked to order. You walk in and pick from the simple menu, 4 types of sushi rolls, 4 or 5 appetizers, lettuce wraps, etc. To be price competitive when you order sushi you can order 4 or 8 piece rolls. Entrees can also be ordered in small or large portions, this really worked for me as I ate alone. When choosing you entree you pick the protein, chicken, steak, tofu, or veggie, then choose white, brown, or fried rice, then choose the sauce/dish of traditional Chinese cuisine. My food came out piping hot, the sushi was fresh and delicious, all for $12. Are you kidding me, I am definitely going back! read more

I made a walk-in to-go order here after playing golf at Golf world 76. I tried their new dishes: Hong Kong's BBQ style with beef and rice noodles and Lemongrass chicken with rice noodles salad and spent the rest of my evening, eating my Pei Wei meals at Stuart's Starbucks. :) The lady (will exclude description and name) at the cashier did not attentively take my orders properly. I specifically confirmed my response for rice noodles for all my meals instead of white or brown rice and she gave me brown rice with my HK BBQ beef even when she was the one that suggested I could have rice noodles instead of rice. The lemongrass chicken with rice noodles and mixed veggies was extremely delicious and every bite I took, it became more spicy than the previous bite but tolerable. The taste of lemon and lime were there and the thinly, well-cooked sliced pieces of chicken throughout the salad were moist and soft. There weren't really anything in the salad that was crunchy or too hard for my teeth to grind. The only downside was way too much vinegar and too greasy. The HK BBQ beef is definitely taste like a Cantonese dish and there was just something tangy in the BBQ sauce that didn't sit pleasant on my taste buds and not many Cantonese-style dishes do anyway (sorry, no offense!). Other than the awkward taste of the BBQ sauce, the beef was well cooked, soft and chewy. The vegetables were well cooked too and I ate all of those. I tried the brown rice which was disappointing; hard and crunchy (either overcooked or rice was not mixed well in the bowl before serving). Despite the minor disappointments I had this evening, I'm still a fan of Pei Wei food. Next time, I will definitely try the Lemongrass chicken rice noodles salad again and a different new/signature dish. read more

My wife and I had planned to eat at Bolly Twist, but agreed to try Pei Wei again after not eating there since before COVID. It was a huge disappointment. We got there just after 4:00 p.m. There were only a few other customers, as it was early. I ordered the kung pao chicken. It was mediocre. I've had much better, including at this same restaurant in the past. I've never had it made with snap peas at any other restaurant, or with as little flavor as my dinner tonight. My wife ordered the chicken with broccoli. It's a rather simple and tasty dish when prepared properly. Her's was totally bland (almost tasteless), with rubbery chicken, almost no sauce, and undercooked, tough broccoli. The plastic knife provided by the restaurant could barely cut through the stems. The spring rolls were hot but otherwise totally unexciting. But, the coup de grace was the ice tea, or I should say the lack thereof. It was four o'clock, the start of the dinner service. My wife was only able to get a third of a cup of tea before the dispenser ran dry. Preparing for a dinner service should include making sure your patrons don't have to wait ten minutes to get a full glass of tea. And, to go along with her bland entree, she got an almost flavorless cup of tea, once it became available. The "free" fortune cookies were the only part of the meal that were worth the price we paid for them. The one other thing we definitely agreed on is this restaurant is definitely off our list for future meals out. read more

I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and the chicken lo mein and neither dish had ANY flavoring or sauce. I was so in the mood for Pei Wei last week one day. I went there and there was no wait at 1:30 in the afternoon. I ordered the Mongolian beef over fried rice and one pork eggroll. The eggroll was crispy but lacked a lot of flavor. The Mongolian beef was so over fried that it felt like I was chewing on the sole of a leather shoe. I asked for a little bit of extra sauce on the Mongolian Beef, but they put a small amount in a separate container and charged an extra dollar for that!! The fried rice also lacked flavor. The only good thing was the young man that took my order ... extremely friendly. I don't think I'll go back. I'd rather drive a half an hour and wait in line at PFChangs in West Palm Beach!!! read more

Wow...this place has changed soooooo much...customer service? Are your managers even qualified? For sure they're not! I know one has zero experience as a real manager, a rundown bar doesn't count as a real manager, so that's comical for me to see them being a manager. Also...your cooks...again, not truly real experienced cooks..you used to have awesome people back there working those woks like no other. Now...yea...no....I think you need to look better into who you hire...get quality people in there, not some teenagers or drug addicts, yes real addicts as managers/leaders/counter people. Background checks help...a lot...don't just fill positions to have people. I rather struggle with a few quality people instead of a bunch of sucky employees. Get your act together. Seriously. The food tastes really bad. We ordered a poke' bowl, orange chicken, spicy tuna roll, noodles, and crab wonton. About $40 worth of food, and you only get 4 spicy tuna rolls.... 2 small crab wontons, and everything tastes horrible. I'm never a harsh critic of food, I'm actually really easy to impress, and literally everything we tried tasted cheap, old, and disgusting. read more

There was no one here at 12:15 on a sunday which should have our first clue. We were hungry and didnt want to wait at the restaurant a few doors down. Ordered chicken lo mein and dan dan noodles. Both were piping hot when delivered to out table but looked straight out of a can. The sauces looked very shiny and the overall dishes were sub par. The chicken lo mein was also very sweet tasting. Ick. We only ate our meals because we were hungry and in a hurry but in hindsight, wished we refused to eat it and ask for our money back. We wont be back. read more

Many people probably aren't familiar with Pei Wei, which is too bad because you're missing out! Pei Wei is owned by the same company who started P.F. Chang's and serves similar food but offers a more casual dining experience. While the menu isn't quite as broad as P.F. Chang's, Pei Wei still offers many of the popular items from the P.F. Chang's menu and they also feature lower prices and little wait time. When I first heard about Pei Wei, I must admit I was quite skeptical. When I think of quick service asian restaurants, I come up with images of places like Hibachi Express, Panda Express, and other mall restuarants serving their numerous versions of teriyaki chicken. However, after eating many times at a couple different locations, I'm happy to say Pei Wei is quite a few steps above any of those places in virtually every way. I haven't tried everything on the Pei Wei menu, but I do feel like I've tried enough of their menu to offer a reasonably informed opinion on the food they serve. As for appetizers, there are a couple different choices I would be happy to have every day of the week. I love their lettuce wraps with minced chicken as well as their crab wontons with duck sauce. The lettuce wraps are a popular menu item at P.F. Chang's, but at Pei Wei you can enjoy the same flavors without having to wait an hour to get a table and they are $1.50 less expensive! And the crab wontons are $3 cheaper! If I ever decide to skip the appetizers, it's not a big deal because there are plenty of great entree choices that offer large portions. The noodle bowls are excellent, and I especially enjoy the Chicken Pad Thai bowl and the Chicken Lo Mein bowl. You can pick from chicken, beef, shrimp, or vegetables to put in the different bowls, but I usually prefer chicken as my meat of choice in Asian cuisine. The amount of food offered in the bowls is plenty for two people to share, or a good choice if you want to take home leftovers for another couple meals. Not bad when two people can share a meal for about $8. Pei Wei also features a section on the menu called "Signature Dishes," which I'm guessing are the popular entree items offered at P.F. Chang's. These dishes offer a good combination of thai, chinese, japanese, and korean cuisine, along with a good mix of spicy and mild variety. I've tried the Honey Seared Chicken and the Mongolian Beef and enjoyed both. These dishes come with either brown or white rice and the concept is similar to P.F. Chang's in that they are big enough for one person or you could order a few dishes with a group and share all of them. When I look for a good restaurant, I want to find a place where I enjoy the food and I feel like I'm getting what I pay for. While P.F. Chang's is a restaurant I love to eat at, it's a place that is normally in my budget. If my wife and I go to P.F. Chang's, we can get a great meal but it'll probably cost us about $30. When we go to Pei Wei, we can get a great meal with similar food and it'll cost us half the amount. Pei Wei is a place where I love the food, love the convenience, and love the value. read more

The food used to be so good here. Had the crab wontons to start. They were cold in temp. Had the orange peel, the rice and pea pods were way under cooked. Talked to the manager and kitchen remade the dish but still wasn't good. This time the pea pods were grainy/stringy and rice was still a little under cooked. I'm done with this place. read more

I'm a HUGE Pei Wei fan!! The food is great and its always done quickly. You can really mix and match alot of the different meals to suit your preferences. Another great perk is you can actually order online and when you do, for your first order you get 25% off which turned out to be a sweet deal! I just wish it wasn't so far from my house! read more

Sorry peeps, I'm not a fan. I would not say this place is anywhere close to the quality of PF Chang's. I had the Vegetable & Tofu Mandarin Kung Pao dish with brown rice. The tofu was pretty miserable. It's difficult to determine how the tofu was prepared...it's seared? smoked? fried? Basically, it had the consistency of a dried out piece of bologna. Yuck to the max. The broccoli in my dish had an odd taste as well. And there was hardly any sauce...although the sauce was "meh" at best anyway, not like I was missing much. We also had an order of the crab wontons which were actually really good. I was expecting the typical crab-flavored cream cheese filling, but delightfully the wontons are more crab meat than cream cheese, and are light and flavorful. But, meals are not built on crab wonton alone! The prices are OK and it's quick getting your food, but really it tastes microwaved (despite having an open kitchen where you can see the cooks preparing your food amidst open flame and flailing woks) and odd. Don't think I'll be coming back, unless it's for crab wonton to go. read more

The family chose Pei Wei for dinner tonight (10/15/2008) and it was a fantastic choice. Pei Wei is the "quick serve" sibling of P.F. Chang's. Chang's seems to be test marketing (although they have more stores than one would have in a test market phase) the idea of getting their type of Asian Fusion food but in a fast food sort of way. If you've been to places like GoRoma you'll get the set-up. You order at a counter and then you're given a number and you can grab your table and your drinks. Then your food is brought out to you by a server. You skip the waiter/waitress sort of business model but you get some really tasty food. Mom got Mongolian Chicken and MK the Mongolian Beef. Both were pretty good and come with your choice of white or brown steamed rice. I opted for the Orange Peel Beef which had a little kick to it but nothing to be concerned about if you don't like spicy. Dad got the Sweet and Sour Chicken which was the only order at the table that had the chicken breaded. He said it had just the right amount of breading. We also had some appetizers: the Chicken Lettuce Wraps which is a PF Chang's signature item and an order of Crab Wontons. The only bad thing with this style of dining is that they just crank out the orders and so we had only just STARTED our starters when the main courses showed up. There's just no ability to pace the meal and that's what you miss by not having a waiter. But all-in-all, the ability to refill your own drink and enjoy top quality Asian fusion type food for roughly $8.00 a head (not including drink and starters) is pretty darn good in these economic times. read more
