Our appointment was confirmed, and we even received confirmation at 8:14a.m. the morning of our appointment. We arrived on time, only to receive a text at 11:02am while we were already outside the spa--saying they no longer had availability and asking us to reschedule. It was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. To make matters worse, the front desk employee didn't even handle the situation herself. Instead, she called someone else on the phone to speak with us, and that person was incredibly rude and not helpful at all. Canceling a confirmed appointment after we've already arrived, especially the day before our wedding, showed a complete lack of respect for our time. We planned this experience to help us unwind before an important milestone, and instead it added unnecessary stress. I would not recommend this spa. If you value professionalism, communication, and customer service, I would look elsewhere.

I stood there awkwardly waiting forever, and when she finally acknowledged me it felt less like a spa and more like I was bothering someone at a government office or student affairs desk. I got a full body massage and somehow I ALWAYS make this mistake -- trying random massage places and ending up with the newest, least experienced person they can find. I'm not exaggerating when I say the massage felt like she was just applying lotion to my body. That's it. Like her job was spreading oil around, not actually massaging. On top of that, she barely understood English. I only booked 30 minutes because I went during a break in my day just to relax a little, so I didn't even have time to argue or make a scene. At one point I asked if she could press into my back a bit more or crack it slightly and she literally goes, "I am not sure, let me try." LET ME TRY??? Left there somehow more tense than when I walked in, except now I'd also paid for the privilege. Massage place owners seriously need to get massages from their own employees before hiring them. Nothing is more frustrating than going somewhere specifically to relax and ending up unable to communicate with the person touching your body because they don't speak a word of English.

I got there early to make sure I had enough time to get settled and do check-in--no one was at the front and I was confused since last time there was someone. It seemed they were just chatting the whole time in the back despite me and one other person entering. It became past 6PM and I finally get settled in. I had my watch on and finally I was helped at 6:20. At this point I was just in so much pain and desperate so I waited. They finally started for maybe 10 seconds, only to leave for like 5-10 minutes to chat in the front, then come back. I was hesitant to just get up and leave but I had already waited so long. Massage was okay. Hated it to be honest. I asked for hard pressure and I feel like the person who did my massage last time did a lot better. It was difficult to communicate so I just didn't want to try. I appreciate that even though she wasn't fluent in English, she still tried. However, I think they should provide a whiteboard/pap similar to what other places do where you circle what kind of service you want, pressure, and focus areas. Anyways I finished the massage, feeling kind of meh about my whole experience. It was still $65 for 60 minutes and I was going to tip 30% which is $19.50. This was already pretty generous and what they usually ask for considering I had a delayed and poor service. I just wanted to leave and the therapist kept asking about the tip and insisted I pay an extra $6 because my back and shoulders were "tight". First off, isn't this what massages are for? I don't get a massage because I'm not tense. I get massages because my shoulders are tense, my back hurts, I worked from home, I'm in pain. Massages are literally meant to treat this. Also, I have NEVER had this experience where a therapist asked me for a tip because of that. I've gotten massages multiple times where they have no issue, and do wonderfully, and I always compliment them. This was horrible and I'm left feeling like this was not worth it. I should have just waited a day to get an appointment at Arisa Thai Massage. Anyways, I just wanted to leave because I was so sick and tired of my experience and just ended up giving her the $25 tip that she insisted on. I'm pretty pissed off. Insane. Literally never going here again. I thought I'd give it a chance since it is walking distance and I just really really was in so much pain and desperate. Now I'm out $90, still in pain, and regretful and wish I just had stayed home and slept it off. I thought that my experience would be similar to my last one, but this time I just had a really bad experience and unfortunately it seems my last visit was a 1-off thing. Left feeling like crying because it just wasn't a great experience and that I had wasted so much time and money. I reached out to the owner about my experience and he offered to give me a free massage at the Sunnyvale location. Unfortunately, it had slipped my mind since I was brought into an escalated meeting for work. I was flabbergasted that he said me not showing up was losing money, but I lost money during my horrible massage and experience. I just hung up at that point and didn't want deal anymore. I feel I gave them a fair chance, but nothing will take away from the experience I had at my last massage session. "Losing money".. no.. at least the business got $90 out of me at my last session. I lost money. Honestly wish I just requested a refund. -- Edit in response to owner: As for the follow-up: yes, I had scheduled a free session, but unfortunately had to miss it due to a work escalation. It happens. I reached out to explain, yet your response was to say that you lost money because I didn't show up. Please understand: I lost money first--$90 for a delayed, uncomfortable, and ineffective massage. And your concern about your loss over my missed free session, rather than any real acknowledgment of what I went through, only reinforced my frustration. I came to you in pain and left feeling worse--physically and emotionally. I genuinely wish I had never returned after my first visit. While I acknowledge you tried to rectify it by offering another session, your handling of this situation afterward makes it clear this is not a business I can trust with my well-being again. I stand by my review.

A steam, hottub and a cold plunge! They also gave us totes with robes so we could move to and fro areas. The massage was the best massage Ive ever gotten. It was a deep tissue with I believe her name was Jessica or Jesse. It was dim and very relaxing! I will say this place was pretty pricey so I'd do it for a special occasion! The only blip, and it really is a small blip is that one of the front desk ladies misheard my friend when she said she was paying for 2 of us and charged her for 3. I'll start by saying that Mark was absolutely fantastic, and I'll get back to him in a moment. As for Watercourse Spa itself, I've been coming here for many years, and I honestly think it's time for a renovation. The facility is starting to show its age. During my massage, I couldn't help but notice a large stain on the ceiling above me. The sink in the treatment room also appeared quite dirty. I had planned on taking a shower after my massage, but after using the restroom and seeing the shower area, I decided against it because both the shower and bathroom looked like they needed a much more thorough cleaning. Another thing that stood out to me was the massage table itself. When I laid down, the sheets weren't very soft, and the blanket covering me felt rough. When I visit a spa, I expect plush, freshly laundered linens that feel luxurious against the skin. Soft sheets, fluffy blankets, a spotless environment, and a relaxing atmosphere are all part of what makes a spa experience feel truly indulgent. Those little details make a big difference and help create the comfort and tranquility that guests are paying for. It's a spa I've always enjoyed visiting, which is why it was disappointing to see it in this condition. I truly hope management invests in renovating the facility, replacing worn linens, and paying closer attention to cleanliness and upkeep. The spa has so much potential, and with a few improvements, it could once again feel like the relaxing retreat it was meant to be. Now, onto the highlight of my visit--Mark. He was an absolute sweetheart and an exceptional massage therapist. He was friendly, easy to talk to, and incredibly knowledgeable. We spoke about a few personal issues related to why I needed certain areas of my body worked on, and he took the time to offer thoughtful advice and even recommended some helpful resources. I genuinely appreciated his kindness and willingness to help. Mark was wonderful to both my husband and me. His experience truly shows--he's been a massage therapist for over two decades, and it was evident throughout the entire session. He applied excellent pressure during my deep tissue massage, took his time, and never made the treatment feel rushed. You can tell he genuinely cares about his clients and takes pride in his work. If you're looking for an outstanding massage therapist, look no further--Mark is your guy. Lastly, I'd also like to compliment the front desk staff. They were warm, welcoming, and professional. My only hope is that the spa invests in renovating and better maintaining the facility so it matches the quality of the excellent therapists who work there. The staff and therapists deserve a space that reflects the same level of care and professionalism they provide to their guests.
