I haven't been to Peet's in forever since they no longer offer special discounts days or rewards for members as frequently as I'd like. I do like their quality and feel like it's much better compared to Starbucks. I went for their twice baked almond croissant and thought it was fresh, crunchy, and fluffy. This location has seating inside and outside if you want to get some work done. It's located in a pretty crowded shopping center so during peak time parking can be awful. I hope they bring back the incentives for customers as far as 50% off days and buy one get ones more often. read more

The store is very busy, regardless of the time of day. Yet the staff keeps the line moving and the coffee shop clean. There are also Peet's logo items for sale, along with coffee and teas. I really like the table set up. Some of them are at a nice level while they have a higher table with stools. This is very helpful to my wife, as she has mobility issues. I truly dislike this location. Every time I place an order, they are extremely late in making my drink--last time it took over 30 minutes. The staff is rude, and Ryan in particular showed me my order but still had not prepared it. I usually enjoy Peet's Coffee, but my recent visit was honestly disappointing. I ordered a Hula Brew, but when I tasted it, there was clearly no brew in it -- it was basically just juice and ice. I politely pointed this out to the staff, but one of the female baristas insisted that it was correct and completely refused to listen to my explanation. Instead of trying to understand or check what went wrong, she just kept saying, "So what do you want me to do now?" in a rather rude and dismissive tone. It's not about the drink itself -- mistakes happen -- but the attitude and lack of basic customer service really ruined the experience. I left feeling unheard and disrespected. This is my favorite location to come to, i love the staff, they are always so welcoming & friendly. I have never had a drink not turn out the way I hoped it would. I even once had a barista tell me he made my drink as perfect & pretty as possible which I thought was sweet! While I am not a real coffee afficionado, the difference between this place and other cafes is it's open really early, the coffee is quite strong and there is a good selection of other foods on the menu for self service. This Peets is really good as it has heaps of indoor and outdoor seating and is next to a bunch of eateries (Nick the Greek, Chipotle, Panera, Mission City) along with Target and Sprouts. The service is usually really good, there are two that need to use happy pills, the rest are great. They have really great pictures on the walls, great to browse while waiting the your coffee. There are a few very loud Russians in the morning and of course old people watching YouTube on their phone with no air-buds, very frustrating. But usually it's a very chill place and not too many issues which Santa Clara's ever increasing homeless issues. read more

A book and cup of coffee in the sun. As it gets cooler, this is a good spot to get a cuppa and some solar heating. I do have my favorite cafes with outside seating in the sun, this is up there on the list. Not number one, but up there. The only problem is ambience. Namely the outside seating is next to the exit for the shopping area. Other than that, there's a quaint simple garden outside and plenty of seating in the shade and sun. We are avid Pete's customers, and every time we come to this particular location, we are dismayed with the service and the results. On two occasions, we ordered Tea and it took 20 minutes because they forgot to make it. The staff seem really lethargic and not into what they are doing. We are taking our business to another Peet's from this point forward. maybe the staff should observe how the Peet's on Brokaw the Alameda are run since there's a massive difference in the customer service there. I also recommend emergency training in soft skills and customer service for the staff at this Peet's on El Camino. It would be a relief to visit the store and note that it is no longer run in a loosey-goosey roughshod ramshackle manner. read more

I've purchased teas, coffees, ice blended drinks, and baked goods- they never disappoint!! Friendly staff. Convenient location by a bus stop, but do not recommend getting coffee while waiting for your bus. Every time they take about 10 minutes to prepare your order. Definitely need more than one person by the coffee machines in the morning. read more

This Peet's is located at the corner of a busy shopping plaza. This is a relatively busy area, so parking was a tad difficult to find at the time I came. I enjoy the bench seating when it is not too busy and there is space there. The drinks are just okay here, but their atmosphere and vibe is chill. This is a decently quiet spot to get some homework done. Overall, I would come here to get some work done with a simple tea, then head out. read more

I have to admit, I've been missing out on good coffee by not coming to Peet's all these years! What was I thinking? So glad I gave them a shot. Just moved to the Santa Clara area, and we've been trying to get organized with our food planning, but not doing a great job, so we've been going out a lot, especially for morning coffee. The dark brews here are full bodied, and taste so good made sweet and creamy the way I like. I tried the chorizo breakfast wrap (good) and the bacon and cheddar brioche (delicious, my new favorite!). I noticed they also had my favorite thing in the world, an almond croissant so I have to try that next time. I'm also intrigued by the boba tea....overall this was a great Peet's coffee experience, and I am so glad they are close to my new home! read more

I contacted DoorDash right away and inform them what just happened so they reordered it for me and gave me a $10 credit. Second order came and still not bagged. The Dasher kept ringing my doorbell even though I instructed to leave my order by the front door. Since she was just holding my order because it's not in a bag, I have to open the door and grab it from her. I went every other day on a walk and kept track of transactions via monile order of correct fulfillments vs not. 12/36 transactions were incorrect 19/36 were more than 10min late from LATEST time listed in the app I go to other Peet's in SJ: 1/32 transactions incorrect- app had inventory they did not and when i showed up they apologize and provide alternatives of same value 0/32 were later than 10min from LATEST time listed in app The worst part is expecting 1/3 of my transactions to be incorrect at this Peet's. I stopped by around 7:45 on Saturday to get 2 "Shot in the dark" coffee with espresso. It's not their fault but I was just in little rush for my 8am meeting. Isabelle helped me ring the coffees with a smile. Victoria noticed that I was running behind and helped expedite those drinks. Both gentlemen behind the machine are great and pleasant. They've lost a star because every time I go in to buy my favorite (when it's available), I buy the prepackaged whole bean and ask for a grind for a "percolator". I know there are many ways to prepare coffee, I have at least 4 machines to make it. My favorite is the percolator. In my opinion, this produces the richest flavor and body of coffee. I didn't realize, however, that this word - and method - of preparing coffee was so archaic that the staff doesn't know what that means. And not just one person, but two, three....disappointing to say the least. I'd expect something like that from Starbucks. Whenever I order online, there it is...grind for a percolator.
