I learned from my mistakes and got the matcha with cold foam this time, and that was much better. Strong matcha flavor, and that classic deep green color. Would definitely get that again. The service itself is decent. I have ran into baristas sometimes that are more so apathetic, but I mean I guess how enthusiastic can you be about making coffee. Mario was the third person to check on me. He told me another batch was in the oven, but I was leaving soon. He apologized and offered any pastry on the house, particularly recommending the chocolate chip cookies he had baked himself. I accepted. When he set down the cookie, I asked if I could order an Americano. He returned with that as well, on the house. The cookie was huge, freshly baked, loaded with chocolate chips and just enough walnuts to stay out of the way of the gooey goodness. I broke off a piece -- soft, warm, the chocolate chips melting with every bite. You cannot have a better one. There was a steady stream of clientele representing the diversity of the neighborhood. The atmosphere is friendly, cheerful, and genuinely welcoming -- the neighborhood is enriched by it.
