    Breakfast bagel and coffee/matcha flight (8oz x4)
    Lauren L.

I've driven by this place a million times and didn't even know it was there. They have fun Latin inspired drinks. Personally, I didn't find them strong enough in coffee/matcha. But the flavors were still very good. I'm glad I got to try a little bit of everything with the flight - my fav of those was the *abuelita* with the chocolate and cinnamon notes.

It's time for a much-needed update! This is my most visited coffee shop. Jesse's Grind has a warm, inviting environment. It's the kind of place where you can comfortably grab a coffee and relax or chat with friends. The shop is always clean and well-kept. This shop is known for Latin-inspired drinks. They also offer breakfast sandwiches, matcha drinks, teas, pastries, and much more! My favorite drinks are the Dirty Horchata Latte, the Mazapán Latte, and the Abuelita Latte. I also like pairing my coffee with a coffee cake or a cheese danish. Their coffee cake has a very similar recipe to the one I remember from grade school. Let's talk about the Dirty Horchata Latte. This is by far my most favorite drink from this shop. In fact, it is hands-down my favorite drink overall in the entire valley. This drink consists of espresso, horchata, and your choice of milk. This shop makes their horchata from scratch and uses an authentic recipe. The drink is creamy, smooth, and sweet, yet well-balanced. I always recommend this drink to anyone who asks me about this shop. Next, let's talk about the Mazapan Latte. Mazapan is a Mexican peanut candy that is sweet, slightly grainy, and richly nutty. This translates to a comforting, peanut-forward sweetness mixed with espresso. This shop even mixes actual Mazapan pieces into the coffee! This is my third favorite drink. Now, let's talk about the Abuelita Latte. This is a specialty latte inspired by the classic Mexican Abuelita hot chocolate, which is made from rich, cinnamon-spiced Mexican chocolate. This latte blends those warm, chocolatey, and cinnamon notes with espresso and your choice of milk. It makes for a Mexican-style mocha. This is my second favorite drink. I've also tried their Matcha Horchata, although I'm a novice when it comes to matcha. This drink was earthy, creamy, and smooth. As mentioned above, the coffee cake from this shop brings back memories of grade school. Their recipe is spot-on with the one the LAUSD schools used. The coffee cake is always a safe option at this shop and pairs well with any of the coffees. The cheese danish from this shop is polished and indulgent. This is my backup choice when there's no coffee cake available. The service at this shop is excellent for the most part. The employees are always helpful, cheerful, and happy to answer any questions. As an added bonus for me, Jesse (the owner) and her mom always take the time to ask how I'm doing, the perks of being a regular. That makes my experiences even more special! Overall, this shop nails comfort & creativity, Latin-inspired drinks, cozy atmosphere, great service, and pastries that pair perfectly with their coffees. Placed an order for pickup and it was ready almost immediately, which was super convenient. I do wish the website let you schedule a pickup time instead of defaulting to ASAP though. I got a medium matcha horchata ($7). The cup size felt a bit small for the price, but the drink itself was delicious! Very cinnamon-forward and creamy. Definitely something I'd order again. The shop has a nice vibe and would be a great spot to study. Staff were also very friendly, and there's plenty of parking in the lot.

I've been coming here for the past 8 months. I first started going to the Winnetka location and instantly fell in love with it. Then I heard the owner was expanding and opening another spot even closer to me, which made me so excited to see them growing. They've created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere where people can come work, relax, and enjoy amazing food and coffee. My top favorites are Jesse's Original and the Strawberry Horchata Matcha. Highly recommend

Came here today finally after hearing about this place, unfortunately came a little late for some of the food, so definitely need to go earlier in the morning. I ordered the matcha horchata and have to say it was so delicious, honestly I did not think those flavors would work together but they did. Can't wait to come back and try more of the drinks.

I had such an amazing experience at Jesse's Grind Coffee Shop that I had to come back the very next day! On my first visit, I ordered the avocado toast with egg and their new spring special matcha over ice with cherry foam, both were absolutely delicious. The flavors were fresh, unique, and clearly made with care. The ambiance is incredible, super welcoming, cozy, and a perfect place to relax or catch up with friends. The staff really stood out too; they were friendly, attentive, and made sure to acknowledge everyone walking in, which made the experience feel even more personal. I enjoyed it so much that I came back the next day, this time visiting a different location in Canoga Park. I tried their horchata matcha, and wow, it did not disappoint! Such a creative and refreshing drink. Overall, amazing food, great drinks, and top-tier service. I'll definitely be coming back again and again

Great service & super cute vibes overall. They have a variety of different specialty drinks that are Mexican inspired. I had the iced Spanish latte and my husband got the mazapán latte. We both got an extra shot in our drinks but they didn't taste like coffee at all. Good flavor but wish they used stronger coffee

I have so much to say about Jesse's Grind. I've been coming here since before they blew up since I only live down the street. They are amazing. Period. The most beautifully decorated coffee shop you'll ever see with an amazing mural painted inside. The layout, the plants, the fact that you can basically see their entire kitchen area (VERY clean) Everything just makes sense. As for the people, everyone is so lovely. So welcoming, always with a smile. Jesse is amazing, LOVE JESSE! I always come with my dog too and everyone always gets so excited and they always offer my dog a little pup cup. Their menu is incredible. So unique and all the flavors work so well as lattes. I never knew that my favorite mexican candy can turn in to a drink. Some of my favorite drinks I need to mention are: Dirty Oatchata, Mazapan Latte, Honey Oat, Blueberry Latte (seasonal), and their Rose Latte. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any drink. Also honorable mention is their breakfast bagel. SOOOOOO yummy! I highly recommend coming here for a new and unique taste!

finally got to visit in person after a run club! ive tried their coffee out at a pop up and my client brought me a matcha before-- both really yummy! i loveeeeee the logo and slogan on the ground it looks amazing. they also have a new mural in the back thats vibrant and beautiful. theres indoor and outdoor seating, plenty of street parking and a small lot in the back. the drink options are great and i was shocked to see they had a full glass case of pastries! it all looked super good and i was eyeing a lot of the sandwiches/bagels they were making. i ordered "the jesse" and it was very cinnamon heavy and was the perfect amount of sweetness. i like their cups too lol the small is the perfect size for me. would love to visit again and try more off their menu.

Dirty Horchata Latte ( Large )
    Javier R.

I used to be genuinely obsessed with this place coming 2-3 times a week even though it's not close to me. My go-to was the iced large horchata latte (which was already on the smaller side). Now they've taken the large off the menu completely and only offer small or medium. I totally understand inflation and rising costs, and I would've happily paid more for a large. It's just hard to justify almost $7 for a medium in the San Fernando Valley. I stopped going to big chains to support local Latino-owned shops, so this one stings a little. Respectfully... us Latinos aren't Barbies. We like our coffee how we like our culture: strong and in larger portions. Still rooting for this place, just hoping one day the large makes a triumphant return.

    Mark A.

This might be my favorite of the recent coffee shops I've been to around the west valley. The vibe here is just right. It feels effortlessly cozy. The folks working here seem like they're locked in with the community. The coffee itself is on point. The roast had a perfect balance in flavor. I ordered a latte and it was served at the perfect temp. There's a nice area to study and plenty of seating with an appropriate ambient noise level. You won't fight to hold a conversation.

    That dirty oatchata is yummy!

I was first introduced to Jesse's Grind when my sister hired Jesse for a private birthday event, and let me tell you, it was love at first sip! My family and I are big iced coffee lovers, and her iced coffee was delicious, smooth, and not overly strong (just perfect!). When I found out she had her own shop, I knew I had to support. I started making the drive whenever I could, and it's always worth it. The shop is super cute, and one of my favorite parts is seeing Jesse's family there, all working together and supporting her dream. it's inspiring to watch people truly "make it happen." The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the vibe makes you want to come back again and again. If you're looking for a recommendation, do yourself a favor and try the iced Dirty Oatchata. it's my go to every single time. It does get busy sometimes and parking can be a little tricky, but just circle the lot and you'll find a spot (totally worth the wait). And now with a second location opening soon, I couldn't be more excited to see this business grow. I'll always recommend Jesse's Grind to my fellow iced coffee lovers, pull up and thank me later!

We managed to come early around 9am this Sunday, so we only had a ~10 minute wait. I've heard good things about Nat's so I was very excited to try here. It definitely exceeded expectations! My partner got the Guadalajara Skillet with over easy eggs, it had a good amount of heat as well as nice crispy texture from the hash browns. I had the Lox Benedict, which was delicious! The hollandaise sauce was rich and creamy. Finally, we got the Howie's waffle to share, which was the perfect amount of crunchy and came with assorted fruit and maple syrup. The waitress offered us this amazing housemade apricot jam to go with the toasted English muffins, which I think may be the best jam I've ever had. Unfortunately they were out of jars today, but I will definitely be back to buy a jar in the near future.

Since it was going to be a long wait, my wife and daughter waited in the car and I asked the hostess if it was cool if I sat down by the bar area and order a coffee which I plan to pay for. One of the gentleman that works there asked if I wanted anything to drink so I ordered a coffee. Moments later, while drinking my coffee the lady that's assigned to that section asked if I wanted to order anything or if I needed a menu which then I informed her that I was waiting for a table and was told it was cool if I sat there while I drank a coffee. She then rudely stated in Spanish. "I DON'T MAKE MONEY THAT WAY" then storms off. The lady starts complaining to her coworkers and they start looking my way. They then inform the guy that always wears a black shirt and slick back hair who I believe is a manager and he comes over and explains that this section is for walk ins that plan to sit and eat here and am welcomed to wait outside or in the waiting area.I informed him it wasn't a problem but thats the reason I asked from the beginning. I also mentioned we drove from Simi Valley to come here and there were many other restaurant options but I told him how the waitress treated me and he said he would talk to her. I told him I would pay for the coffee and I would leave. He said don't worry about the coffee. I didn't even finish my coffee I set it down and left. After coming here for years with family, friends, even referring this place to others I WILL NEVER COMEBACK AGAIN. We made our way to the Country Café in Chatsworth and of course got great hospitality and food.

When my glass of wine arrived, the server suggested I taste it first -- which I did -- and it was immediately apparent that the wine had turned. Having ordered the same wine many times before without issue, I was confident this particular bottle was off. When I asked our server if the bartender could open a fresh bottle, she agreed without hesitation. However, moments later, a gentleman I assumed to be the manager approached and informed me that a new bottle would not be opened, as the current one had only been opened the day before and was, in his opinion, fine. His only alternative was to offer the same varietal at a higher price point. I understand that restaurants may have policies regarding open bottles, but in all my years of dining out, I have never encountered an establishment that refused to replace a glass of wine a guest found unacceptable -- especially when the server herself had encouraged me to taste it for that very reason. This experience left a lasting negative impression, and unfortunately I will neither return nor recommend this restaurant going forward.
