I did not try their coffee but I wanted a coffee shop where I could chill and work on stuff but they only had metal chair chairs and basic tables nothing comfortable so I left. So today I went in for my first time. I was unsure of what they might have but even though they have a modest menu list, the coffee items definitely got me interested. I tried their iced Mazapan coffee. And I loved it! Definitely something I would come back for. I'm interested in their lemonades as well. Im also a sand-which girl so I appreciate a decent sandwich. So I tried their turkey sandwich. It's definitely fresh, and a decent size and comes with this pickled pepper that was honestly the cherry ontop and a great combo. Time to update my Jesse's review. No surprise! Another 5 star review. Jesse's can do no wrong in my eyes! The dirty oatchata has a chokehold on me. The breakfast bagel has a piece of my heart. I always want to try a new drink, but I simply cannot because of how much I love that dirty oatchata. There's nothing out there like it! Jesse's has so much heart and I've been a supporter since the beginning for good reason! They rock at what they do. Also, shout out to the owner Jesse for just being a nice cool human. I've driven by this place a million times and didn't even know it was there. They have fun Latin inspired drinks. Personally, I didn't find them strong enough in coffee/matcha. They also offer breakfast sandwiches, matcha drinks, teas, pastries, and much more! My favorite drinks are the Dirty Horchata Latte, the Mazapán Latte, and the Abuelita Latte. I also like pairing my coffee with a coffee cake or a cheese danish. Their coffee cake has a very similar recipe to the one I remember from grade school. Let's talk about the Dirty Horchata Latte. This is by far my most favorite drink from this shop. In fact, it is hands-down my favorite drink overall in the entire valley. This drink consists of espresso, horchata, and your choice of milk. This shop makes their horchata from scratch and uses an authentic recipe. The drink is creamy, smooth, and sweet, yet well-balanced. This latte blends those warm, chocolatey, and cinnamon notes with espresso and your choice of milk. It makes for a Mexican-style mocha. This is my second favorite drink. I've also tried their Matcha Horchata, although I'm a novice when it comes to matcha. This drink was earthy, creamy, and smooth. As mentioned above, the coffee cake from this shop brings back memories of grade school. Their recipe is spot-on with the one the LAUSD schools used. The coffee cake is always a safe option at this shop and pairs well with any of the coffees. The cheese danish from this shop is polished and indulgent. This is my backup choice when there's no coffee cake available. The service at this shop is excellent for the most part. The employees are always helpful, cheerful, and happy to answer any questions. As an added bonus for me, Jesse (the owner) and her mom always take the time to ask how I'm doing, the perks of being a regular. That makes my experiences even more special! Placed an order for pickup and it was ready almost immediately, which was super convenient. I do wish the website let you schedule a pickup time instead of defaulting to ASAP though. I have so much to say about Jesse's Grind. I've been coming here since before they blew up since I only live down the street. They are amazing. Period. The most beautifully decorated coffee shop you'll ever see with an amazing mural painted inside. I used to be genuinely obsessed with this place coming 2-3 times a week even though it's not close to me. My go-to was the iced large horchata latte (which was already on the smaller side). Now they've taken the large off the menu completely and only offer small or medium. I totally understand inflation and rising costs, and I would've happily paid more for a large. It's just hard to justify almost $7 for a medium in the San Fernando Valley. I stopped going to big chains to support local Latino-owned shops, so this one stings a little. Good coffee and chill environment. It can get busy and the line can start to form outside. I wish they had more seating inside and a patio. Parking is good since it's in a big plaza. Once a week, I stay at my boyfriend's place in Canoga Park. Before heading back to Westwood, I must pick up a coffee before getting on the freeway for the 40- 60-minute drive to work. Arrived around 1:15, on a Sunday. Surprisingly, very busy. Mostly Togo orders. We had two groups , some got food from nearby( Hopia you like it ) and some got coffee from Jesse's. I asked if we can bring in outside food, and she said yes. We split our group of 7 people two 2 different tables. Which is fine. Suitable space overall. My friend got the dirty horchata , pretty darn good. Another got the cinnamon cafe latte . Also very good. At about 1:55pm , the lady reminded they were closing at 2. We thanked her and left in time. I randomly saw an add from Yelp or instagram about this coffee bar yesterday. I saw that they had coffee flights. I wanted to go try immediately. I went today with a friend to try! I loved it! The coffee flight is such a cool idea!! Especially for the coffee lovers who need more than one cup a day! I really like that you can pick your four flavors and they create the flight around your picks. Some flights are preset flavors. I like that I pick try new flavors and choose my favorite four. The barista was so nice and helpful. I asked which coffees were the sweetest. I like my coffee sweet. She was so helpful. And then you can also choose hot or iced. Love this as well especially depending on the weather. This place was popping when I got in. I wish it was bigger with more tables. Even tables outside would be awesome. If you go at a busy time, it can be a tight squeeze. Hopefully they do well and open up more locations. I would love to see this in a different location with a nice outside patio with seating.
