I like that this is a fairly large location, has a lot of parking, friendly employees, etc., but the internet is very, very slow. It took about 15 minutes just to download a short podcast. The next closest Peet's has slightly faster wifi, but not that great either. Guess I'll have to go to their competitor next time :( read more

Peet's at other locales in Petaluma are better It's always very COLD in this store = spring, summer, fall. I'm not sure about winter. Everyone complains about this a lot. It never changes. Adjust the temp or fix the AC! The temperature should suit the customers, not the staff. My normal time to visit, early afternoon - not a busy time. Barista's are anything but efficient. They ask your name, then don't call your name, or perhaps forget to write your name on cup. Then they let drink sit on bar and get cold. This has happened 2 weeks in a row. They are slow, slow, slow. Is this bad management or lousy staff or both? Interesting that I just read a similar review, written in October 2017. Lunch offerings are boring and not very good. (actually they are not good at all) I feel like I am eating pre-packed airport food. Take a lesson from places like Costa Coffee in the UK. read more

My new favorite coffee place. I am a total convert. The coffee and tea selection is great and the atmosphere is really open clean and comfortable. That is not easy to pull off in a strip mall. The Peetniks are very kind and respectful. The staff is efficient and I love their selection of scones and other treats in addition to the before mentioned coffee and tea choices. It's well worth signing up for their mailing list. You get occasional coupons and invites to free coffee tastings so you can compare and contrast several different brews at once. It's busy but not too busy. I never feel rushed there. read more

I've been drinking Peet's coffees and teas for years. This place just reiterates the quality of the arabica blend coffee they use here. Being a bit of a coffee buff, I appreciate the meticulous nature of the Batista's methodology. I would highly recommend going in, sitting down for a while to enjoy the pleasant atmosphere there. This is my absolute favorite Pete's coffee out of all the Pete's coffees I have been too. The reason? It is incredibly spacious, plenty of tables and couches to perch yourself on while studying. The barista's are very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I have never had a single bad experience here. They always get my order correct, which can be hard to do because I don't do dairy at all. The drinks are fantastically made and are always spot on delicious. Never had a single drink here that was bad. There are drinks that I do not like out of preference, but that has nothing to do with the quality of the drink. The only nit picky thing I have to say is that there aren't a lot of plugs to plug in your lap top or your phone. There is a plug outlet at the corner where the windows are and tables. And the next outlet is in the other corner with the high chairs. What IS nice is that they have a big extension chord outlet so multiple people can plugin their electronics. What I generally do is plugin my phone there and just go to my table while it charges. The bathrooms are big and decently clean. Sometimes homeless people come in to use the bathroom, but as of late I haven't encountered that. Love this location, the baristas, the space, the coffee and treats, and the atmosphere. n read more

This Peet's has great hiring and/or great training. Super friendly and competent service. I like the food options, too. I love the gingerbread and the fruit and cheese box I just ate for breakup was fresh and had a nice variety of cheese and almonds and crackers. It was my first time going to Peet's. I got a mocha latte. When I took my first sip I burnt my mouth soooo bad. The milk was scalded. Even fifteen minutes later the drink was too hot to consume, and it tasted gross because the milk was scalded. I was so mad because I got a large so it was like 5$. I also got a pastry which wasn't good. It was a pop tart and it just tasted like sugar not fruity. read more

I'm originally from the Northeast so I'm a huge maple fan and this did not disappoint: it was rich and creamy and the maple flavoring was authentic and not overpowering. I want to like this place again and be able to go again. The coffee is and will always be on point. But the customer service was awful today, maybe because it was a weekend and busy so I understand but it wasn't a good experience at all. I could have gone to the Starbucks drive thru and got better service than this. The cashier thought my name was Sal but it's Sam. He wasn't pleasant at all. He looked confused. The gentleman behind him was taking coffee orders and I thought he was trying to get some other orders too and give me a rude stare after I placed my order. But anyways I must have misunderstood but he was still rude and didn't seem nice at all. I'll stick to the Peet's elsewhere. This place is a joke. It sucks because I love their coffee! But maybe the next time I go, I won't expect good service and just get my coffee and go! read more

The hot cocoa here is sooo good. Incredibly chocolatey and rich. The staff mix the hot cocoa very thoroughly, and add a bit of whip cream on top. Delicious! This is a very clean store and there is a small outdoor seating area out front. read more

I've been drinking Peet's coffee for over forty years. Will never go back to this location. The store was dirty, the baristas could have cared less about helping us and the baked goods we bought were not worth the money. My grandson got a croissant, they don't have butter, and could they have put it on a plate instead of a paper bag? I strongly object to a barista with a big ring through the bottom of her nose as well. This store needs a new manager and someone who gives a darn. It's obvious that there currently is no one there who cares. Will not go again. As much as I do not like Starbucks, anything would have been more enjoyable than this mess! read more

Came here for a cup of joe and was met by a goth chick who did not say a word to me, but just looked at me like "bitch, what do you want?" So I told her I wanted a dark roast, she just shrugged and said "we'll grab it for you" while staring me in the face not moving.... So I asked for a small coffee (in case she didn't understand), which should have been the uzuri African bled (according to the sign), but I watched her pour decaf Sumatra into my cup (far left nozzle in case there's confusion). This lack of respect and plain unadulterated rudeness is why I decided to post something on here for the first time evere. I was beyond offended and upset by her behavior and after watching her greet "regular" customers before and after me in a completely different manner, I was disgusted. And just as a heads up, the coffee was disgusting. I took maybe two half sips before dumping it out. She had a flower tattoo on her left arm and looked like a knockoff Amy winehouse. I will never ever go back there for anything ever. The rest of the staff was great but this chick ruined my entire peets experience. At least at this store. read more
