The staff in the store put an espresso shot in my hibiscus chamomile tea LOL - supposed to be on the side not in the drink
    Asmara V.

So I have the Peets Coffee app--- DO NOT select the reward you want - UNLESS you are ready to order - you can not unselect and choose another reward... anyways staff is always serving up an attitude lol plus who puts a shot of espresso in chamomile hibiscus tea!?? I asked please for a shot of espresso on the side. If there is a Must put the espresso shot in the drink because the option was from the rewards in their app-- then I understand- otherwise people who work there should ask not assume. The most gross tea I have ever had lolz oh well-- money has been better spent...

This Peet's location was my first introduction to Peet's Coffee by my ex-gf oh so many years ago. I've always liked them as it's spacious and has a lot of tables & chairs to lounge around and enjoy your coffee and/bakery items. The service was friendly and welcoming. Two unisex restrooms. I got an Iced Vanilla Latte.

Open late, friendly staff, yummy baked goods... what's not to love?

Sometimes you forget about the oldy-but-goody places we have in the East Bay that have managed to remain consistently fantastic over the decades. And the Peet's Lakeshore location is one of those gems. I used to frequent this Lake Merritt adjacent spot quite a bit back in the day, but like so many of us city dwellers do, we tend to live our lives within a few blocks of home. And to be sure, finding easy parking in Lakeshore is not always straight forward. But a recent trip out reminded me what I was missing. Lakeshore Peet's is one of the larger, original Peet's shops. They have a big, open, and bright space with plenty of seating. Lots of plugs for those needing a charge. Service is fast and friendly, which is important on weekend when the shop gets slammed for morning service. The retail side has plenty of beans and coffee-making supplies like filters, pots, and mugs. Perhaps best of all, Peet's Lakeshore is OPEN LATE till 8pm. Remember when coffee shops stayed open late?!? The freshly brewed java in store rotates regularly and almost always has a dark and medium roast available. And the espresso based drinks are prepared well. If you need some nibbles with your caffeine, the bakery case has the usual suspects throughout the day. (But let's be honest, the well-informed will walk their Peet' coffee directly across the street to Arizmendi Bakery or a few doors up-street to Colonial Donuts for the best accompaniments.) And with coffee and munchies secured, you are well-equipped for a Lakeshore stroll, and as well you should as this is a vibrant neighborhood full of shops, restaurants, and outstanding people watching. Thanks, Peet's Lakeshore, for reminding me how good you are!

The Woke Peet's! Always interesting people here. And firefighters! Tend to be well-stocked with coffee and self-serve table (milk, sugar) usually stocked and clean

This is a "splash" of cream. Tired of wasting money at this place.

Slow. Inefficient. Rude. No care in making drinks properly. Horrible and lazy. Which is too bad because the inside is very nice. Ordered an iced coffee with a splash of cream and got a large iced CREAM! This place is horrible. It's almost like they don't care.

The was my first time ever trying Peet's coffee and I can't believe how late I am lol My little sister works at the San Leandro location and she knows all the good drinks! Yesterday I had the matcha frappe with honey and cinnamon and it was BOMBBBBBB!!!! Once I like a drink, I stick to it. That is my new and only favorite. This location was vibe too. Real coffee shop, music playing, people handling business on their phones and laptop lol makes me want to go there and just kick my feet up with some coffee. The baristas were really nice and helpful too!! Thank youuuuu

I had a deal to use from the Peet's app, so I ordered an iced peppermint mocha, less ice, light chocolate syrup and light peppermint syrup, regular whipped cream, 2 shots, 2% milk, regular foam. The drink was ready according to the prediction time and it tasted pretty decent, even with my modifications it was still quite sweet but you can still taste a little bit of the coffee beneath. This location seemed to be pretty busy, I was also surprised how much bigger it was on the inside since it looks small on the outside.

Welcome to a Lakeshore neighborhood staple! I love this location. Peet's is a part of chain which to me means everything taste the same no matter what location you go to. But what sets this location apart is the customer service associates and the community it serves. The staff here always greet you when you come in and leave. They are nice and also patient. Sometimes I stray from my usual cold brew and try something new and they are great at making suggestions. The inside of the store is usually clean and the tunes are usually stellar! I buy Peet's coffee to make at home - but love to treat myself to a trip to this location. Thanks staff for always making my experience here delightful! Treat yourself and enjoy a pleasant coffee shop experience!

Everything plant-based sandwich ($6), vegan by default. Surprisingly good given that it's just microwaved frozen ingredients.

Ask the Community - Peet's Coffee

Will Peets grind your coffee beans for you? I purchased some Peets at Safeway without realizing it was beans....

I believe that they do. If you specify the grind number, they can grind it to your liking.

The lady behind the counter removed some of the ice, and told me that I needed to request "less ice" when I order. Then when I told her I already asked for less ice, she back tracked and said that what I received was already "less ice" and that the coffee is pretty strong and needed ice to dilute it - and that next time I need to request for even more less ice. It was troubling to me that this was brushed off as somehow my fault and to "come back next time" in order to get the drink I requested and paid for. I tasted it and came back within a minute, because it didn't really taste like sesame flavor at all- and as I was coming back in I saw a man leave with two of the same drink which looked like it had more sesame cream than what was in my drink. I told the person behind the counter this, and the response was how the man was a repeat customer from the previous day so again, how could anything be wrong with the drink I received? She took my drink and added more sesame but who knows - I couldn't see and she said she " mixed it in for me"- it looked exactly the same. Anyways, this had been such a frustrating experience with too much back and forth for what should've been a really simple solve.
