Peet's Coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Fairfax, Virginia

Since caribou was like a second home back in the day, I'm probably not the best reviewer of the coffee/atmosphere. That being said, I've found Peets to be a pretty cold place from the chairs to the literal temperature of the establishment. The staff aren't nearly as friendly as they used to be, but that doesn't affect taste and I get that. The one thing I've come to fully love and appreciate is the kale and goat cheese flatbread. It is arguably the most delicious sandwich I've had at a coffee shop. I've had it a number of times, always a really nice balance of kale, egg, and goat cheese. But like everything else at this place, something fell apart. The past couple of times I've found little kale or goat cheese, enough that it's unreasonable to say "hey! you forgot something!" but not enough that I feel satisfied with paying almost $5 for something that is mostly bread. Don't be fooled Peets, I really want to like you, but you're making it hard. read more

Peet's Coffee took over the spot that was previously held by Caribou Coffee. They make decent coffee and specialty coffee drinks. I had the white chocolate macadamia nut coffee and it was tasty. I normally like this location, but my husband and I walked over this morning for coffee and breakfast with our son (we live a mile away), and when we got there at the opening time of 7am, the doors were locked and no employees were there. We waited for 15 minutes along with a handful of other people before giving up. We had to walk back home with a hungry and cranky toddler since nothing else was open in the shopping center for us to get breakfast. Not a good start to our day! Best Coffee Chain! While I am a sucker for a mom and pop coffee shop, these folks come in right behind them. Best thing THEY DON'T BURN THEIR BEANS! The roast I very good, Major Dickenson is a great blend. The baristas are always polite, friendly and personal. read more

Came here to get some work done and get lunch. The internet is painfully slow and the coffee is pretty bad. I got a "Dirty Chai Latte." My latte was so bitter and had an overwhelming pumpkin taste. My friend also got a latte and his had the same bitter flavor. We frequent many coffee shops so we aren't afraid of strong coffee but these felt over roasted and burned. They were undrinkable. I also got a Turkey sandwich. For $6.95 I'd rather have airplane food as that is better than the hockey puck mushy sandwich I received. The decor is nice and the seats are comfortable but I will not be back. I can't believe I'm saying this but Caribou was better. read more

This coffee shop opened recently. The decor is similar to Starbucks but on the brighter side. Service is excellent, the staff is very friendly and courteous. Lots of beverage and food choices. In my opinion the coffee is stronger than Starbucks (Expresso drinks), nice and ample outside seating and also inside. Definitively a better quality product than Caribou Coffee. I don't like that they have screen on the barista side for the drinks, makes me feel I am at McD's (lol) but they do a pretty good job at maintaining a personable service. read more

Boo to the manger or owner of this location. I am a big fan of the Hibiscus lemonade infusion served at the Ashburn AND Brambleton stores. Not here, folks. No hibiscus tea, so I asked for a green tea lemonade, got green tea ONLY made by the barista who disappointed me with the news of no hibiscus tea. And your lemon bread was way stale. This Peet's Coffee and Tea is located right in Fairfax Corners. While there is plenty of parking, those coveted spots right in front of the shop are hard to come by. I really like Peet's coffee due to a few reasons, the friendliness of staff, calm atmosphere and the coffee. This coffee is so much better than Starbucks and I've been going to Peet's since I found them out west. Great location and happy there is more competition in this area. read more

It was my first time trying this coffee place today since my friend and I were thirsty while walking around Fairfax Corners. I got a small iced caramel macchiato and he ordered an ice green tea latte (I think); my drink was VERY sweet and I didn't enjoy it too much and his was pretty sweet too which he didn't enjoy either. Yesterday, I went in for my usual small caramel iced coffee with a splash of coconut milk. Despite how simple this order is, my cashier was unable to understand what that meant and asked me to clarify. I repeated my order, as I wasn't sure how to simplify an already simple order. I received my coffee, however I was frustrated that it took me longer than usual to get my order. Today I went in for my usual again, and I was charged $3.50 when I am normally charged $2.97. I received my coffee, and since I was running late for work, quickly picked it up and left. I noticed when I took a sip of my coffee after my departure that it was 90% coconut milk and absolutely no caramel sauce. Very disappointed. read more

You just can't get better coffee around here. They hand pull the shots from an authentic Italian machine. The espresso, upon which most drinks are built, has a rich smoky flavor with a gorgeous crema. The cold brew is perfect, they also have top notch teas. I also buy the beans and make them in a French press at home. Whether you like dark or light roast Peet's has something special for you. Even the K-cups are delicious! This location in particular has the best customer service of any business I visit around town. They remember you, what you drink, and are always friendly. It was my first time coming to this cafe. The service was on point and the workers were very friendly. I met a client to discus business, and enjoyed the atmosphere. Unfortunately, and moments after we received our order, my client's drink slipped into the floor as we were pulling chairs to sit. One of the workers came to our table and helped us clean. My first Peet's experience. My coconut mocha latte was a bit too sweet and (my biggest pet peeve with coffee) not hot enough. When I have a non-hot latte, I drink it quickly (as it's not getting any hotter!). So I basically chugged my $5 overly sweet morning beverage in less than two minutes. Disappointing, as I like to "sip and savor" my coffee. read more

Everytime I come in the service is amazing. I haven't been in awhile but I am compelled to leave a review. My drink is always made to perfection and you can taste the love and care in each cup! I have never had a bad experience at any location! Bathroom is always clean and smells great. I have been in when the line was to the door but it moved very quickly and no mistakes were made.
