There is only one restroom and the employee has to buzz you in. Limited outlet near the wall. I was lucky to have switch tables with me to charge my laptop. --Service/Staff-- Staff was cool with recommendation. The restroom can be an issue when there was no one near the cashier station. Other than that minor grip. Place is a great grab and go. --Products-- The usual Peet's coffee setup. Great selection of food items near the cashier which consist of snacks and hot food. --Capacity-- Small, rectangular coffee shop. Seating is probably max 8 people comfortably. You can squeeze in more people waiting in line to 20 to get their order. There were outdoor seating in front of the store. I didn't see the number available, but it was raining and not an optimal place to work. --Overall-- If you need a place to work and you are in the area. As someone originally from the Bay Area, it is wonderful being about the to go to downtown and get a Peet's coffee. The coffee baristas were wonderful despite their being a long wait due to many customers in person and mobile order. They were able to keep all the customers aware of the order wait times and the coffee came out great. It was a wonderful pick me up and the artwork inside keeps one entertained a bit while standing for the order. I would go back to this location next time I'm in the area. read more

This has become, for me, the spot for a good, strong, reasonably priced cup of coffee while I'm in the immediate area. Two varieties of tea are also available. Service is very quick. The station for cream, sugar, etc., is along the far left wall, and that's a bit inconvenient. right behind some of the tables, making it awkward if someone is sitting there. The space is also not really meant for more than 1, maybe 2, to stand at a time, meaning at a busier time, there may be a backup. Cocoa and cinnamon are also available in metal shaker cups, but beware - at least for the cocoa, it comes out really quickly (fine for cocoa, not so good for cinnamon). I was secretly pleased to walk through the lobby of the hotel at which I'm staying showing that I found better coffee nearby where I got more and better for less cost. read more

The quality of the locations for Peet's does tend to vary - this location tends to run out of stock quickly just because of the amount of people that come through, but they keep it clean and there are plenty of outlets around. I think it's a great coffee shop ambiance - plenty of people working as well as a couple just coming in to read. Service is standard but can be slower just based on how many employees are working - Starbucks orders may come out quicker but Peet's coffee is much tastier in my opinion! The staff here are also really sweet and friendly (one complimented my hair, so sweet!). The app supports a good reward program if you are a frequent coffee drinker like myself. Super friendly service here. They are fast and try to get your order out as soon as possible. The location is not too busy and there are a few tables to sit and do work. Peet's was one of the closest coffee spots to my hotel, so I visited it a couple of times during my stay in Chicago. Prior to this, I only knew Peet's via Keurig's K-Cups, so I was surprised to see it was a chain with actual brick and mortars. This Peet's gave me urban Starbucks vibes. It wasn't big inside, but there was enough space that I didn't feel cramped despite at least a dozen people waiting. They have a small seating area and even more outside, so there shouldn't be a struggle to find a place to plant yourself. My order was always an iced coffee - ideally I get coconut milk in it but they didn't have so I just went with half/half. Their carbs weren't bad; I had one of their scones which was just fine - their blueberry-lemon muffins were better. Service was good - both mornings I went there was a steady flow of people and things were running smoothly. Overall, Peet's is a solid spot for coffee, and is worth stopping in if you need a caffeine fix. read more

I was excited to try the new featured matcha frozen latte. I have to say, I can't really recommend it, though. It also ended up being $7. For a drink with a hint of green without any detectable flavor of matcha, that unfortunately didn't cut it for me. Service was good, relatively fast. Everyone seemed to be working hard, and it was a busy morning. Parking is metered street parking. When a chain store hits all the beats, it deserves 5 stars as I gave this Peet's On a blustery day, nothing hits the spot like a hot beverage. Peet's Coffee (originally from Berkeley California) turn it to the famous Seattle-based chain Starbucks. One thing that tends to be true at Peet's is the great java. This outpost was no exception. Deliciously hot, my almond milk latte came to me after only brief waits in line to order & less than 3 min to pick up. I used to work as a mystery shopper on the side (partially so that I could get free Peet's coffee) and I know that in less than three minutes is their target time to deliver a beverage. So they nailed that. Taste was perfect no bitterness nor burned flavor. Just goodness of latte! The staff was warm and attentive and the team I observed seemed to all enjoy each other and serving tasty javas. The background music is mild and not obtrusive - relaxing but not sleepy. Everything was clean that I could see - counters, service area, shelves of goodies. I enjoyed my 15 min here away from the chill outside. It's a nice, quick stop for nourishment. read more

I've never been here before but I just moved to the south loop and this is now the closest coffee shop to me. I loved peppermint mochas and i love that they have oat milk! so much better tasting than regular milk especially for coffee. I also got the new turkey sausage cranberry pretzel roll sandwich and it is reallllllly frickin good. Like i could see myself going there for these regularly during the holiday season. the slight sweetness and tartness from the cranberry spread is perfect and the sausage patty is HUGE. like at least twice the size of one you'd see at mcdonald's or dunkin. really good read more

WON'T LET PAYING CUSTOMERS USE RESTROOM Absolutely the worst coffee shop treatment in the city. The " manager " Andrew supposedly was his name, was extremely rude and condescending. We asked him to use the restroom and he has both restrooms locked and told us they're out of order. I asked him where does he go if he had to go and he rolled his eyes at us and said " I don't " The cashier was just as rude. So glad to have this Peet's nearby my apartment! Super hot day, and I needed iced coffee. The staff here are excellent. It was so nice that Laurie came outside to say "hello" to my BIG dog! I love how they are pet-friendly here. The barista in the shop was extremely understanding when I walked in 5 minutes to close just to buy this cup. I am grateful for the kindness, hospitality and cleanliness experienced in Peet's coffee.
