My wife goes into the store. She had on a long winter coat. She's always cold. It's a medical condition. There are no inside pockets in that long winter coat that she wore open because then she started getting hot. She was overdressed, which happens to her when she goes into stores they don't have the air-conditioning set to 60. This was literally yesterday. She went out the day before and was freezing to death because of the windchill. She did not feel the need to explain this to the men that worked there. Unbelievable! She bought some batteries and was carrying them around the store. A man whose name we remember, we don't need to mention his name takes them away from her and says why don't you leave them on the counter? She she knew for sure that he thought she was some kind of thief because she was wearing a long winter coat. We all have weather whiplash. This man would not admit that he thought my wife was going to shop lift these batteries. She said she didn't see any sign saying do not carry merchandise around the store. She also did not notice any baskets one can carry the merchandise around it. Then the man continued to argue with my wife about how long the surge protector cord should be, and my wife kept saying what she wanted, and he kept arguing with her manslaining to her that she needed a long cord when she did not need a longer cord and we have very good reasons that we do not need a longer cord! My goodness! Prices are not cheap, they did not tell us the truth over the phone and then this happens. So not so happy;will avoid in future. Then she had to ask for a receipt. We hate that; a receipt should be given automatically.

That left me, my wife, and our 4-year-old without power or heat right after a snowstorm and during freezing temperatures. We had to leave our home and stay in a hotel on very short notice. We called Fattizzi Electrical (Paul Fattizzi), and he was outstanding. He responded quickly, understood the urgency, and got to work right away. Within two days, he had everything repaired and ready for inspection. He worked with Con Ed to come back out promptly, they cleared everything, and restored power so we could safely return home. Totally avoid this company . My son dropped off his rider mower there because it wouldn't start. He…read morecalled them a few days later and they said the engine was toast and it would cost $1500 to replace it!! They recommended scrapping it and they would be happy to scrap it for him for a $100 fee. My son slept on it and today went there with a rented pickup to get the mower back. The workers met him outside and said we thought you wanted us to junk it for you. When my son said no, they ran back into the shop and a manager came out. The manager then quickly said my mechanic worked on it last night and it's almost working now. It'll cost about 600. And it will be good as new. Kind of contradictory to what the staff said when he first got there. From junking to rebuilding it. My son then OK drove down a block and turned around because it just didn't sit right with him, how they changed their mind from junk to gold and told them that he wanted it back. They then gave him a bill for $300 for work he never authorized ( remember the staff told him to junk it) and he saw that a new battery was listed on the bill. He lifted up the seat and saw that it was the same old battery he had on it. Make a long story short this shop reeks of deception I wouldn't spend a dime there. I recommended that he called the Better Business Bureau and that's what he's going to do. To go from we recommend junking it, for a $100 fee, to "oh no don't take it, we can fix it " when he canceled the junk it order and came to pick it up, then billing him for a new battery that they never installed, we'll you don't need to be a detective to see something isn't on the level. The place doesn't even rate 1 star.
