The issues consistently center around one overnight supervisor, Mike, whose leadership approach has resulted in unfinished work, poor accountability, damaged inventory, declining team morale, and ongoing workplace conflict. Rather than supporting the team, responsibilities are frequently passed onto others and prefers passing up actual work for admin work while giving direction without active leadership. Over the course of several months, he has openly discussed with multiple team members his intention to pursue legal action against the company in order to reduce his work schedule while still maintaining full-time status. These conversations have been widely shared among staff and are highly unprofessional for someone in a supervisory role, creating distrust, division, and workplace cliques that negatively impact the work environment. There is also a noticeable pattern of excessive written documentation and email communication that appears focused on personal protection rather than team operations or problem resolution. His scapegoat is writing constant emails to record and complain about anything that is not to his favor and making himself a victim. This contributes to tension within the workplace and further erodes trust in overnight leadership and possibly and agenda to build a legal case against the company just for it not his way. Inventory concerns extend beyond internal organization. There have been situations where inventory was placed outside inappropriately, resulting in product damage from weather exposure. Issues with both outdoor and internal placement create confusion, shift responsibility for unfinished work onto others, and disrupt normal workflow. There are also indications that his supervisory responsibilities have been reduced or questioned, raising further concern about leadership structure and accountability overnight. Concerns about these behaviors have reportedly been raised verbally to other supervisors in the past yet appear to have been overlooked or not taken seriously. The overall supervisory response gives the impression of hesitation to address the situation directly, reflecting a broader lack of leadership training, accountability, and internal oversight. This pattern will ultimately affect the store's approval ratings, operational integrity, inspections, and customer and employee experience if it is not addressed. I am not seeking follow-up contact. This is an alert for the company and for anyone looking to work here. Multiple employees are frustrated by this ongoing situation but feel discouraged from speaking up, as prior complaints appeared to be acknowledged without meaningful investigation or resolution and other employees have been targeted as it seems he feels entitled to bark orders but not lead. These concerns are being documented so corporate leadership can conduct an objective review of overnight supervision and internal management practices at this location.

The day before the date scheduled for the pickup of the old appliance I called around 6.00 pm to find out what was the time window for the pickup. They did not know and informed they would send an e-mail during the night, which they they didn't. That meant the tenant was unable to make any plans for that day. It is regretable that with so many bad reviews about Lowes, management does not care to make changes to improve their services.

The second time we tried to give them business, it was horrific, and should've ended up going viral, if we had shot video. An older female employee was barring the doorway, refusing to let a repeat customer into the showroom. The customer ended up telling us an incredible story of the nonsense they were put through by this woman in particular. We got back in our car and ordered the materials for a five-figure (before labor) job at another competitor. Avoid this business at all costs.

I was told it would take 4-6 weeks to arrive "on the truck". After 6 weeks, I called and was told it had not arrived. Late December, I again called and was told the faucet was in but the covers to cover the previous holes had not arrived. I was told I could pick up the faucet from the warehouse in Somers if I called at an hour ahead. I decided to wait. Two weeks later I called again and was told the covers were not in, but should be on a delivery in late January. At this point I asked if when the order was complete, would I pick it up in the Yorktown showroom, and was told all orders had to be picked up in their Somers warehouse (12 miles from showroom and an additional 8 mi from me). No showroom pick up option but "I could pay to have it delivered by UPS". I asked to speak with a manager and voiced my concern that their customer service needs to be addressed. At the time of sale, I paid in full, was never told that the items would need to be picked up in Somers, was never contacted in the many weeks that followed my order to update me re: the status, and felt it inappropriate for me to be charged a UPS delivery fee. The manager said "it's not our policy to followup on orders". Re: the issue of no notification of pickup in Somers, her reply, "she's a new salesperson". Complete and total disregard for my concerns. She had no customer service or satisfaction skills whatsoever. No attempt to remediate the situation. When she could not give an order completion date, I told her I would consider cancelling the order, and she said "go ahead, I can do that for you". Consumers have many options. Kohler faucets are not cheap. Choose your store carefully and buy where you will get the service you are paying for!

I was also told I'd have to wait six weeks for service, which is unacceptable, especially since we've had to rely on expensive electric heat while waiting for a fix. While I was explaining this, the man identified as the owner walked over and, in front of other customers, said, "Your heat bill isn't my problem." His tone was rude and dismissive. I told him I never said it was his problem--I was pointing out how unfair it is to pay high electric costs while waiting for a warranty repair on a stove we just bought. I even said I might as well have saved my $5,000. He then raised his voice and said, "Your electric bill isn't my problem, and what you're saying is that you think you're more important than other people who have to wait." I told him that's not what I said, that I just expect timely service on a product that's still under warranty. He continued, saying, "This is just supplemental heat, that's your problem," then walked away and dismissed me entirely. After that, the employee helping me also became rude. He said the wait would be four weeks and that I'd have to pay for labor. When I mentioned the parts were under warranty, he said, "Well, I don't know, I'm not going to look at that right now." This entire experience was unprofessional, disrespectful, and unacceptable. The owner's conduct, especially in front of customers, was out of line. I expect immediate attention to the warranty repair and a response addressing the way this situation was handled.

I was bounced around between Mike, Ron, Brian, and John--a revolving door of incompetence where no one knows anything, no one follows up, and no one seems remotely concerned. Promised callbacks never happen, messages go unanswered, and when you finally get someone on the phone, you're met with excuses instead of solutions. Their favorite move is blaming "non-responsive vendors." That excuse might hold water if the people inside the store weren't so astonishingly disorganized and unprofessional. No ownership. No urgency. No accountability. Just finger-pointing and shrugging while the customer is left in limbo. If you enjoy being ignored, misled, and treated like an inconvenience after you've already paid, this is the place for you. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and shop literally anywhere else. There are plenty of businesses that understand what it means to be client-facing. Home & Hearth clearly does not.

I called Stargate and Lock, Mickey picked up; I told him my dilemma; he sent Jeff. We were out and with a new more secure lock in a matter of minutes. I highly recommend Stargate and lock to anyone in need of professional locksmith, iron construction, or simply hardware services.

The granite installation was sloppy at best, it was cut awkwardly at places, and the silicone they placed between the granite slabs looked like wide spats of shiny glue. So classy! The silicone was removed by our builder and there is wide gap between the edge of the granite and the division between the cabinets and the refrigerator. A really nice and desirable look. This company also did my bathroom sinks and ordered the wrong size for one of of them, so they placed a temporary sink. It has been OVER TWO MONTHS since the house was finished and I still do not have a permanent sink in the master bathroom. The spice cabinets in the kitchen island make a noise when they are closed and small strange parts pop out of those cabinets once in a while, I just save them and in my spare time try to figure out where they go. What a difference with the company from which we bought and installed the marble on my island, just down the road from these guys! (Very professionals, impeccable installation, great service). Again, stay away from this place!
