Terrible service from many of this company's technicians and thieves . They came to repair my oven and fridge. They told me I needed a plumber for my sub zero when it was a simple job. He forgot to also change the lightbulb and then tried to charge me an additional $199 to change the lightbulb in the fridge! I had already paid close to $600 read more

Probably the worst to request a repair from : I told them what was wrong with my oven , they charged me $200 to come to my house look at oven and turn it on .. no tools were used then they say you need parts that I said were the problem . Then say the $200 doesn't go to the cost of repair .. then they say need 2 techs there for the job , cost $475 for other tech to help pull oven out ..is this surgery we are paying for ??? Next I call wolf to check on parts and say call back northeastern and Asked them for part number .. I call northeastern and they say can't give me that info but I paid $200 to know that .. it took them like 5 calls to get back to me and say company policy you pay $200 for no service or part info . A total joke of a company .. I guess that's how they stay in business you pay and get nothing in return ...Please use another company for repairs . Would give a negative star if possible ... remember I paid money and got nothing in return .. can't even get part number .. STAY AWAY from dealing with this company ... read more

Imagine this - it's the night before Thanksgiving. You're getting ready to host 21 people. Foods are in various states of preparation. Our Wolf oven is on and doing its job, as it always does. Then POP! SPARK! The oven goes out. It won't turn back on. Disaster! But fear not. Despite it being the day before Thanksgiving, and already having a full schedule, Jonathan from Northeastern Appliance Service added us on to the end of his day. I was already making arrangements to share my neighbor's oven figuring for sure there was no way the oven could be fixed on the spot. But then Jonathan swooped in, took everything apart with with expert speed, and diagnosed the problem. 40 minutes later the oven was back to normal. Fully working. Re-leveled (bonus). My review is solely based on their hiring process and lack of professionalism. In mid-November, I went for an interview. The interview went well and I received a callback for another interview. I was asked to sit in their office from 8 a.m.-11 a.m. to observe the job i had been interviewing for. I was given the impression I was going to be hired. As I was leaving, I was told I was going to be receiving a callback with their final decision. A week had passed, I still hadn't heard from anyone. I called to let them know I had changed my number in hopes of someone telling me something about the status of my application. The person who had answered my phone call seemed annoyed that I had called. I was never contacted by anyone, just sent a letter that someone else was hired for the position I interviewed for. I'm not mad they didn't hire me but why are you calling people in when you don't intend to hire them? Ossining to Peekskill isn't a short ride and I told them I had just moved there from the city. Please do better with your hiring process and keep in mind we're still in a pandemic that has left many of us unemployed. read more

I have a 12 year old Sub-Zero that came with my new house, and it had several broken parts, a leak, and a non-functional ice machine. Edgardo and his assistant came equipped to fix every single problem in my fridge and freezer! They have a sophisticated understanding of how every part fits, operates, and integrates into your home. Not only do they seem to have every part on hand, but every piece they had to remove they also cleaned and put it back together fully functioning! They even helped me trace the disconnected water line in my basement, and suggested a plan for how to run a new line to supply my ice machine. Their pricing structure was very fair, especially considering that it's a Sub-Zero, and they were extremely generous with their time and services. 10/10 and I hope to work with them again soon! read more

I have a Subzero from 2009 which I love and take really good care of. Joe, my service mechanic from NAS, has help me out a few times already and its good as new. I ve been having issues with one of the lower freezers frosting up. Joe knew immediately what was wrong with it. Within 20 minutes it was fixed. No parts were needed, he doesnt try to sell me anything that I dont need. Joe is so polite and educates me on what he is doing and why. I only use Northeastern Appliances and always ask for Joe. He was such a kind and professional person. Then William the technician came out to fix the problem. He was thorough, knowledgeable, and was so neat when he worked. He also answered some questions I had about adjusting the refrigerator which has been in place for 18 years. I warn ALL of you NOT to use NorthEastern repair in Peekskill. I just spoke to the #2 in command (Owner Barry Goodman is "out of the country") who gave me so much BS that I'm shocked they're in business. I waited 3 weeks to have them come totally unprepared and at 6:15pm. I itemized the issues on 9/3 and NOW they tell me some parts are on back order. Another company couldn't repair my Wolf range's broiler. Finally, I reached North Eastern Appliance Service. I am so glad they are now seeing customers in Brooklyn. The whole process was civilized here, from scheduling to getting the certificate of insurance my building demands. Then master technician Edgardo Hernandez arrived for our appointment, in full PPE and booties. He quickly assessed the range, asked a few questions, identified the problem, and in less than an hour fixed the broiler the other company could not repair in 3 visits. Terrific. We have a new Cove dishwasher that needed a repair. Although we had to wait quite awhile for an appointment, the serviceman they sent made up for the inconvenience. Joe arrived at the time specified, was neat and efficient. He did not have the part needed for the repair. He called and located the part at the warehouse. When I called Northeastern they did not have a return appointment for more than 2 weeks. Joe had a cancellation on the same day and called to find out if he could come back and repair our dishwasher. He came back and now we have a functioning washer again. Bravo read more

I rarely write any reviews, but I am so impressed, realizing that good and honest service by professional people still exist, that I feel the urge to write this one! Northeastern Appliance Service is such a place, I needed service for a SubZero Refrigerator, and called Northeastern because they were an authorized service by SubZero. I am a very picky person when I need to purchase anything, or to require any service! I am also blessed with lots of gray hair from life experience. I believe that with the years, I learned to determine the personality and attitude of a person, just by having a short phone conversation. Cody, from Northeastern, the person I spoke with on the phone, made an excellent impression on me, not only because of his polite and friendly answers to my questions, but his overall attitude put my mind at ease, that I should not worry to ask them to come over and see what is wrong with the Refrigerator. The Technician arrived on time, after a phone call he made 15 minutes before his arrival to make sure that he is expected. He was very courteous, checked the 2 issues we had with the refrigerator, and also checked to see that everything else is working well. He told us that we will soon receive an email from the office on the exact options and costs for the parts that need to be ordered and the labor associated with the repair. After receiving the proposal from Cody, I called him, and he explained that one of the replacement part that had to do with the smoothness of the hinges of one of the doors, is not critical, and that the refrigerator could continue to function even without the replacement of that part. Our Refrigerator is passed it's warranty, but Cody suggested I call SubZero, that has an excellent reputation for customer Service, and to ask if they can help with the price of the parts, even though we were passed our warranty. What is important to understand, that these Service companies make a profit when they provide the replacement parts, and by suggesting to me to try to have the manufacturer waive some or all of the parts cost, it was a very appreciated point, because it showed that they prefer you save some money, and for them to just be satisfied with the labor cost. I called SubZero costumer service, and to my delight, after sharing with them our sincere satisfaction with the Refrigerator, they agreed not only to pay for all the parts, but on the Door hinge replacement, that needed 2 technicians to work together, they agreed to share with me half of the labor charge! The parts arrived on time, the replacement of the computer panel and door hinge was done to our satisfaction, and we saved about $1000. read more

I needed service recently on a Sub-Zero unit that was still under warranty. The technician showed up on time and was very polite. He also showed up while Covid19 was still an issue and I was very appreciative of him answering the service call at all. He wore protective gloves and a face mask. The technician quickly identified exactly what the issue was with my unit and it turned out to be service oriented issue and not mechanical. After a simple filter replacement the unit started working perfectly. Problem solved in 10 minutes. In addition to a quick and complete repair the technician was also very knowledgeable about several of my appliances and gave me information about how to maintain them properly. When he was done the technician sanitized the work area and left without a trace. 5 Stars. read more

I wish I could give this company 0 stars. The most unprofessional customer service department I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. It's been nothing more than a headache dealing with this company for dishwasher repairs. Our current issue takes the cake though... The dishwasher's power strip stopped working the last week of October. I called NE Appliance and scheduled to have a technician check it out. NE called me on the day of the scheduled service, cancelled and never called me back with a date to reschedule. After hounding them, I eventually got a technician in here..... who looked at the machine for 20 seconds and said, "it needs a new power strip". We were required to pay him for his "time" - $128. This was Friday, November 4th. It is now December 5th and we STILL do not have a power strip. I just got off the phone asking for an estimated delivery date for the part and was told, "it's back-ordered". Ok. "Do you have an estimated time of delivery?" I'm again put on hold for 4 minutes and eventually hung up on. In the mean time.... I'll just continue staying well past 5pm, waiting for the dishwasher to finish..... since, you know, the power strip is STILL BROKEN. read more

I had Northeastern come to fix a switch on my stove. They charged me a ridiculous number for a repair that was fifteen minutes. It was a $500 hundred dollar bill and the part was $20. There are much more affordable options for Wolf and Sub-Zero and other expensive appliances. Village Appliance recommended them but I have talked to them about giving other recommendations. We spoke with the office and they said that they would get back to us and one month later they sent a legal letter. lol I think that my next call will be to Wolf to get them off of the official list. VERY DISAPPOINTED with handling of service. My Wolf vent needed a new knob to turn the light on. After sending them pictures as they requested, Northeastern told me that this "was a more complicated job requiring a panel change and a service visit". After a few weeks of waiting for the parts to come in, Northeastern arrived, took the knob out of the little box and put it on the vent. There was ZERO work to be done. I have used Northeastern many times in the past to service both my stove and fridge, NEVER complaining about the service fee for legitimate service. Their service visit was clearly not required and they, as subject matter experts, should not have lied to me to make me pay $180 for them to put on a knob on that a 2nd grader could have done. Horrible customer service and experience. And instead of taking responsibility of the mistake, the Operations Manager who is "in charge there" was rude, did not care to listen to and hear the circumstances of this particular case and repeatedly threatened me with collections. My Sub Zero refrigerator wasn't cooling and the problem started on a Saturday. I went on Northeastern Appliance's website and filled out a form hoping someone was on call during the weekend but understood I likely wouldn't talk to anyone until Monday. I called first thing Monday to see if they could come service my fridge sometime that week and the earliest they could see me was a week from Friday- 11 days away! I guess I've been lucky and never had to deal with not having a refrigerator, even for a few days but I thought this wait time was insane. I gave them my name and made the appointment in case I couldn't find another company to come and look at it. Thankfully I found another company and they asked me if I could wait until Wednesday to come look at it- ummm, YES! Customer service is everything and Northeastern Appliance showed me that it's not their priority. read more

I contacted Northeastern for the servicing of my Wolf Stove. Edgardo arrived and quickly diagnosed the problem. He was Covid compliant, arriving in both a mask and shoe coverings, and very nice. He knew that he had order parts and returned to install them. I found him very knowledgeable and took my repair seriously. He was meticulous and left me with a stove that was in much better shape than when he got there. Additionally, he gave me helpful hints on how to avoid future problems. Northeastern Appliance is a scam operation, or at best, an occasionally-deceptive operation. I called and asked whether they could service my dishwasher. They said yes, but it'll cost $150 for someone to come out. I thought that was ridiculous, but said yes anyway in the vain hope that he'd fix the problem on the spot. Not only did he not, he came out, took one look at the dishwasher, and said he could not service that model, directly opposite what I'd been told on the phone to induce me to pay for him to come out. Scam-ola. They called me, I explained, I got a vague nothing response, and then they sent the debt into collection. Shameful. read more

We had to have our SubZero refrigerator repaired after only 5 years - the freezer condenser failed. Aside from not recommending the appliance, it is hard to give a positive review for this authorized repair company. They scheduled an appointment for between 1-5. The technicians arrived at 4:45 - it would have been reasonable to be notified that we were at the end of their schedule. All that said, the technicians were terrific, knew what they were doing, respectful of COVID precautions, and efficient once they got here. If I could hire them outside of their affiliation with Northeastern, I certainly would. Edgardo Hernandez and Jermaine Stewart were an excellent team. Their employer is lucky to have them! Their technicians are good - but North Eastern Appliance wanted to charge $300 for a 5 -10 minute job. Needed them to replace a switch plate on a range hood - where a 1/2" X1/2" tab had fallen off. My hood is working perfectly - so there was no repair to be done on the motor. Just replace the switch plate that BEST by Broan shipped me and for which I paid $150. This is called a monopoly and BEST by Broan should stop listing them as an authorized service company. read more

This shop services high-end appliances (Sub-Zero, Wolf), and it was the only one I could locate that repaired Asko products. My dryer quit, no power at all. Was told upfront that minimum service charge ($79). Repairman came on time, June 23, and spent more than two hours to find the problem -- blown fuse. He was apologetic, my friend says, about taking so long to find a basic problem. He told her that the extra time wouldn't be reflected in the price. He didn't have the part and would have to order it. Paid him minimum, $85.85 with tax. Returned July 1. Took less than a half hour to replace, according to my son, who paid him another $186,60. Total -- $272.45. The bill seemed high and lacking in detail--parts and labor not separated. I called the shop July 2 to see how much the part was and what the hourly rate was for the service. The woman said they charged by the job not by the hour. Ok, then how much was the part? She didn't know and told me the service manager, Troy, would call me. He didn't get back to me. After the holiday, I called July 7. Same woman said Troy would call. He didn't. read more
