Our first time using Fastech 2000's services: we couldn't be more pleased with Francis's repair-work and insight. Our dryer, less than a year old, was taking over an hour to dry thin, cotton fabrics. It was also displaying a code that indicated its airflow was 80% obstructed, yet the lint trap was clear and we'd recently had the HVAC service guy over to clean the vents. The whole thing was a mystery to us, and we were wondering whether we'd have to purchase another dryer. Francis discovered a blockage while examining our dryer duct. He also re-routed the hose, then tested the dryer on high heat to ensure airflow was now clear. My husband and I had a ton of questions and worries along the way, and Francis addressed them all clearly and perceptively. At the conclusion of his repair, he cleaned the work area thoroughly. Quality Service! My only complaint would be receiving a response. I called multiple times in July 2018 and left messages, but didn't get a response. Fastech 2000 had such good reviews, I kept calling and eventually sent an email (9/19/18), that's when I received a response on 9/25/18. After you set up a service call, you will receive a text with your name and the service you requested, it is all abbreviated, and to me it looked like an automated message, but you have to click to open the text. Once you click to expand the text message, there it will explain that you have to reply ok to confirm the service. I was unaware of this at the time, but Francis still kept my appointment and explained the confirmation process when he called to let me know he was on his way. You will also receive a text with his ETA, which is very helpful! Francis assessed and serviced my two PTAC units. He was very communicative throughout the whole process, and fully explained what the issue was, how he was going to fix it, and the lifetime of the replaced parts. I will definitely use Fastech 2000 again, and recommend their service to my neighbors. read more

Hired Fastech 2000 to fix a loud humming from our Viking freezer. The communication with the company was great; their diagnostic quickly led to identifying the issue; the company happened to have the part in their truck; and after about 3 hours, the problem was solved. In addition, after the work was done, the area was cleaned, and the stainless steel on the freezer and the refrigerator was wiped down with a professional stainless steel wipe; both units were left looking great. Very much above and beyond, and extremely trustworthy. They can handle not only appliance repairs but also HVAC repairs and maintenance. I would hire the company again without hesitation. read more

Francis from Fasttech came to our house last November while we were having problems with our AC and heat, which our current provider could not fix. Francis was friendly, flexible, knowledgeable and quickly diagnosed the problem. After unsuccessfully trying to make it work with our current provider, and in a pinch because our AC suddenly broke and the temperatures were rising, we called Francis back. We corresponded throughout by text, which was very quick, simple, and efficient. He even sent the work order through text, which made the review and approval process extremely quick and easy to navigate given my hectic schedule. For the appointment, he came on an emergency basis and stayed overtime, while not charging us extra rates. He honored our payment of the service charge in November (months later). He came as early as possible and worked overtime trying to solve the problem, despite a difficult workspace and 90 degree temperature. He asked several sets of questions and took ownership of the situation. He also documented the whole process (from our initial text to schedule the appointment) very well and comprehensively checked all our systems (from outside and basement) and re-checked them after the job. He explained the issue thoroughly and clearly. And he got the job done. Francis is a consummate professional, extremely hard working, gets the job done well and quickly, and is reasonable and flexible with pricing. He effectively kept me updated on delays on delivery of the part needed due to covid-related factory delays, but got out unit serviced and running as soon as it was delivered. A few months ago, I spotted a leak under the sink. I thought it was the dishwasher. After speaking to Francis, he said that when he installed the dishwasher he checked all the hoses and connections and said it had to be the plumbing. I wouldn't say I was skeptical of Fastech 2000 when I went looking for a window AC repair company. But I was ticked off at another AC repair company and doubtful I would be able to find a reputable operation. Turned out, I shouldn't have been, as Fastech 2000 proved it was worthy of all the other great reviews it has received here. The Friday of Memorial Day weekend (do these things ever happen at opportune times?), Sears's at-home service was supposed to come and evaluate my two-year-old Kenmore window AC, which had stopped pumping cool air. One hour before the technician's window closed, he called and asked for directions, which I gave him. Twenty minutes later, he called again and said he wanted to reschedule the appointment so that two technicians would be on the call, as he was supposed to be off work by the time of his second call to me, even though that was 40 minutes before my window was set to close. I was furious, given the timing and the weather forecast: three straight days of highs at or near 90 degrees. So at 5:10, I did a Yelp search for "air conditioning repair" in this area, and Fastech 2000 was among the results. I called. A guy answered. I asked if he repaired window ACs in Yonkers (not all companies repair window ACs, I learned from previous calls). "Yes, we do," the guy replied, introducing himself as Francis and asking what the problem was. I told him, and he said it sounded as if the unit needed a new supply of coolant, probably because of a slow leak. He offered to come by from 7:30 to 8 that night, after he finished his last couple of clients. I asked if he were working Saturday, and he said he was; he would be able to come by anywhere from 10 to 2. I said that would be fine. He told me to look out for a text from him that would ask me to respond with details about the AC unit. About half an hour later, the text arrived, followed by a text with his contact information, so that touching it opened a Create New Contact card on my phone with all the information filled in. Pretty slick, I thought. I responded to the text with the AC details and shortly afterward got a message thanking me and saying he would see me Saturday. 2 p.m. Saturday came and went with no word from Francis, and I thought maybe I would have to find another repair person. But at 2:40, I got a text saying he would be there around 2:50. At 2:53, he arrived. He examined the unit and predicted before he had even taken the front panel off that he would find a small chunk of ice behind the coils, indicating a coolant leak. Sure enough, there was the ball of ice. He patiently explained what the unit needed to be fixed and what it would cost, about half the price of an equivalent new unit. Francis actually advised me to buy the new unit, but when I asked how long his repair would be good for, he replied, "We guarantee it for a year," but in practice, he said, it will probably last five to 10 years. So I told him I would be ahead of the game to spend the money on the repair now and not have to worry about it for several more years rather than having to buy a new AC every two years. Plus, I was so angry with Sears for blowing me off that I didn't want to buy another unit or arrange for its so-called at-home service again. He shrugged and said that made sense to him. He said he would probably be able to get the unit back to me by late Monday, the holiday. After he left, he sent a text acknowledging receipt of my payment for the service call and stating the estimated repair time. Monday came and went without any word from Francis, but I trusted that he would contact me Tuesday. He did, around 11:30 a.m., and asked what my availability was. I told him I was around all day. He said he would be delivering the AC later Tuesday. At 6:45, he texted me to ask if I was ready for the delivery. I said I was, and he was there within 10 minutes. He brought the unit back up to my apartment and reinstalled it in the window, even replacing the caulk that had dried up along the AC's accordion wings with duct tape. He showed me step-by-step photos on his phone of what he had done with my AC, explaining what was in the photos and how each of the parts worked. He said he had also added a sealant that should prevent future leaks. He turned the unit on, and it began blowing blessedly cold air again. Two hours after he left, it is still going strong. Shortly after he left, he sent another text that thanked me for the business, acknowledged receipt of the payment of the balance due, and told me the full invoice would be e-mailed to me. So all I can do is add my stellar review to the others here and advise you that calling Francis is the way to go if you want your job done quickly and competently and at a reasonable price. read more

I was having an issue with my dishwasher turning on and automatically in our first phone call, before he even came over, Francis was already thinking of possible reasons why it was broken. He took initiative and ordered parts while assuring me that I will only be charged for the parts that were used. After 1 hour of being at my house taking apart my dishwasher, he gave me an honest assessment that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my dishwasher, rather it was a switch underneath my sink that needed to get turned back on! Embarrassing for me, win for him. He then only charged me for coming out to the house since no other parts were used. Francis is a hard working, honest guy. I called him and his company, Fastech because of all the other positive reviews. I live in an apartment building in Riverdale, Bronx and my A/C Heater units were due for some maintenance. The building I live in was built in 1989 and the units I have are the originals. Francis is up front with his costs and told me that units are usually replaced every 10 years or so, but he would see what the situation would be when he comes to the appointment. When he came he was honest and told me my units needed cleaning and check. He didn't try to up sale units to me which would cost me 4,000$ each. I know he did a deep clean of my unit bc I had a maintenance check last year using a different company and they didn't do what Francis did, which was remove the units and actually looked at the system. I haven't actually used the units yet, but he also checks that before he leaves. If you need any household appliance checked or maintained I would recommend Fastech. This guy knows what he is talking about. read more

This is my first 5 star review. Francis provides a level of service that exceeds what you would expect from a 'big box' store. We were in constant contact between phone calls and text messages and Francis provides realistic expectations. We have no complaints and highly recommend Francis and his team. My story begins the week of Memorial Day 2016. I remotely activated the central A/C via a smartphone app around 4pm so the house would be cool when we arrive home around 6pm. The temperature in the house was 89 degrees when I turned on the air. Around 5:45pm I check the temperature again and see it is still at 89 degrees. Upon arriving home I noticed that the external unit is not running. I open the door and feel a faint air coming from a vent by the door, but the house is hot. I check the thermostat and see that it is set to cool, the fan is 'on' and the equipment inside is running. I check the circuit breaker and see that A/C Compressor breaker is popped. I reset the breaker and the outside unit comes back on. The air comes on and the house cools down. Around 11pm I notice that it's warm in the house again and the outside until is not running; this time the breaker did not pop so I turned everything off. Being a new home owner I contacted Home Depot who subcontracted me to 'Victory Bros'. The receptionist made an appointment for the following Friday and advised I would be contacted the day before for confirmation and appointment window. After reading some online review of 'Victory Bros' I noted lots of 'no-show' complaints. I called the the following day to confirm the appointment and the receptionist did not have an appointment scheduled, was complaining of non-stop ringing phones and wanted my information for another appointment the following week. I thanked her for her time and hung up. After some online research on local HVAC repair I was making phone calls, leaving messages, and getting nowhere. My wife happened across the Fastech 2000 reviews on Yelp and called for an appointment. Francis was able to fit us in the following day and asked that we provide information (make, model, etc.) on the central a/c equipment in our home via text. He was in contact via text the day of the appointment and let us know he would arrive in the afternoon. Upon arrival he spent 4 hours troubleshooting until he was able to identify a fried circuit board. He let us know that he needed a part and would be able to return the following day to complete the job. He arrived 9am the following day and had everything up and running by 11am.
