I am dumbfounded that anyone would give Innovative Air a 5 star review. I had them install my central air conditioning system 3 years ago. Last week I realized that the compressor outside my house was not working. I called them on Sunday and got the answering service. I was told they would call me Monday. At noon on Monday I still had not received a call back. I then called them several times trying to arrange to have a service tech come out. It took all day but finally I was able to arrange an appointment. I was hoping I could get someone in a day or two but the earliest appointment was in 3 days. The service tech arrived early which was nice. The service tech told me that the freon level was low and that it needed 5 pounds of freon. He also told me that I probably had a leak as freon does not evaporate. He suggested adding a dye so we could hopefully find the leak. But that if I then needed more freon that was not covered. The cost of the freon was $240 per pound. So the initial 5 pounds was over $1,000 and then I was going to need more. I then called another A/C service company. They called me back within 15 minutes of my call and told me they only charge $85.00 per pound of freon. The service tech told me it made no sense to add freon until the leak was fixed. He suggested pumping pressurized air into the system and listening for the leak. He also seemed knowledgeable about the warranty on my A/C unit. Naturally I did not use Innovative Air for the repair as they were ridiculously expensive and did not seem to have a good plan to fix the leak in my system. read more

I hired Innovative Air Solutions to install a split unit in our basement in 2022. They were responsive, professional and seemed to perform quality work. Our central A/C unit stopped working this week. I called Innovative and scheduled an appointment the next day. The technician was professional and communicated clearly; however, I feel that the price was unfair. I was charged a $99 emergency fee and a $99 diagnostic fee, which I understood from the outset. I was charged an additional $593 to replace a failed capacitor. The part goes for about $15 (https://www.goodmanparts.net/product/trcfd405-405-mfd-440v-run-capacitor) and it took the technician about 30 minutes to replace it. The pilot light on our aging Weil Mclain boiler went out just as temperatures dropped, so we called around to a few HVAC companies in the area to see who could come out the soonest at the most reasonable price. While others couldn't come out until a week later, required at least a $200 credit card charge to come out or both. One even went so far as to say the entire boiler needed to be replaced after taking a look. Innovative called back and was able to get a technician over to our house the same afternoon, where he diagnosed the problem quickly, replaced the corroded thermocouple, cleaned out the boiler and checked to make sure everything was running properly before he left. The pricing was fair, everything was done professionally, and they have billing and scheduling all automated. They even sent a text to let us know who the technician was before he arrived! Highly recommended and so glad we called. We look forward to doing further business with them! read more

The team at Innovative Air Solutions, from John the Dir. of Operations, to the technicians who came on-site to install foam insulation in our basement crawlspaces, could not have been any better to work with, from start to finish. Not only were they professional and efficient, they clearly explained the process of foam insulation, the options available, and the timeline associated. The on-site crew were on-time and always careful about keeping the house clean during what can be a messy project (they were also very friendly toward our two dogs throughout, which I always appreciate). They did great work. Even when an issue arose -- a 100-year-old floor vent cracked during the project -- John quickly stepped in to reassure us that Innovative would order and replace the vent at their own expense. (While waiting for the new vent to arrive, John even dropped off a space heater for us to use in place of the broken vent, truly going above and beyond.) When the crew returned to install the new floor vent, they noticed a deficiency in the original construct of the heating duct, and again went above and beyond to correct an issue that had existed long before we even bought the house -- at their own expense and time. John also personally handled all required permitting for the project, working directly with our town managers. Our project was completed quickly and with great attention to detail. I found Innovative Air Solutions to be a highly professional organization. They were able to do a job for us that was a little complicated and that other comapnies said would be too difficult to do. The salesman that we dealt with was Greg and he was great. Very personable and responsive. The work was well done and they cleaned up afterwards. Also, when they arrived to do the work, they saw my baby and asked when naptime was so they didn't wake him up with banging. That was just so nice and shows that they care. They only issue that stopped me from giving them 5 stars was the issue with the town permit. They didn't tell us up-front that the town would require a permit for the work we were doing, and there was a rather high permit fee that we didn't expect. We didn't know about they fee until after we had given them a deposit for the work. ( I'm actually not sure Innovative knew about the permit fee, but still). Not a big deal, but would have been nice to have been informed about this before we signed up to do the work. Overall, I would reccommend this company. read more

Highly recommend Innovative Air, knowledgeable, fair, clean, friendly team who completed a complex job in under a week. Very courteous and detail oriented. Innovative installed a 2-zone Unico/Carrier System in my home. Turns out, they installed the condensers where there wasn't adequate air flow, which started failing after a year. They wanted $300/service call and took 2 weeks to come out in 95 degree weather. Further, they wanted to charge me $1,800 for a new condenser fan when all it needed was $15 capacitor. When I objected, instead of apologizing, they refused to provide future service. Finding someone else to service it was a nightmare because most HVAC contractors won't maintain someone else's installation, especially when it was done improperly. read more

A completely unreliable company under a veneer of professionalism. Against my better judgement, I've ignored the first sign - IAS has neglected to return my initial call, yet claimed that they returned it when I reached out to them again (calls to my virtual number get logged in 3 different systems). Michael, the co-owner, came out to the house and was very thorough and knowledgeable during his walk-through. He reassured me that the job (a brand new whole-house A/C system) can be completed in a timely manner, and that I'd be getting a proposal containing a selection of quotes within 2 days. Having waited 4 days, I've emailed Michael - no response. I've waited over the weekend and called the company. A rather pleasant lady was very apologetic and has reassured me that Michael's nearly done with the proposal, and will be sending it to me the following day. That proposal, or any contact from the company, for that matter, is still to materialize a week later. Innovative Air Solutions has blithely wasted over 2 weeks of my time, after I've repeatedly stressed the urgency of getting our defective A/C system replaced in time for the approaching summer. I suppose we've dodged a bullet - I'd hate to be at this company's mercy when our A/C system needs service in 90° weather. read more

My mother booked two appointments with this company, however, they did not make a single appearance. In regard to the first appointment she booked, the company was running late. My mother then decided to call the company, and they informed her they will be several hours late. The second time she booked an appointment, they did not show up at all, and her multiple attempts at calling were to no avail as they did not answer. read more

They got the job done. However, the parts they charged are super expensive. First, they asked me to join the annual program so there's no labor charge for any repair call. The trick is the money you paid for the part. They will charge you 10 times than what you would pay if you get them from the store yourself. Re our commercial furnace...They are good in the short term, but do not expect innovative responses to long term problems. We have spent a lot of money on no solutions. After much frustration, time, & money wasted, a utility agency came in and found (quickly) that a very important component was deteriorated & needed replacing. read more
