What great fortune!!! The combination was delicious. Two awesome potato tacos with a half of a Carnitas torta kept me full all day. The horchata was even better than delicious and my girlfriend was able to get unsweetened jamaica... the ladies running the stand were super sweet and you could taste their love in the food. It was so good we stopped back by on the way back from our trip. I had the combination and the horchata again and my lady switched it up with a carne asada taco, a carnitas taco and more unsweetened jamaica. Everything was delicious as before. If you are traveling through Bakersfield and looking for a quick and delicious meal, you can't go wrong at Loncheria Otro Rollo. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants great Mexican street food.

I got their birria, cabeza, carnitas and something pork and stewed, the name escapes me. Of course the birria was the best. The cabeza was not seasoned enough but otherwise everything was cooked well. Their salsa is so good, you can tell they smoked the chilies. It's also a builder spice. My friend only had a little and could handle it. For me, it got too spicy near the end. Wasn't going to stop me though. The horchata and Jamaica were very good as well! We enjoyed those quite a bit! If you are dining in, someone comes inside to take your order, or you can wait outside for to-go orders. The day we went, the power to the building was out, so we ate in a cold room lit only by whatever gloomy light came in from outside. That didn't bother us, because things happen, and because the service was great anyway. I opted for the choriqueso style chilaquiles , bathed in a mix of gooey cheese and chorizo. You also have a choice of three different sauces (mild, medium, hot) eggs cooked to order, and beans. My food was delicious and flavorful, the medium heat was exactly that and I appreciated it. Eggs and beans were good too. They have a fridge with bottled drinks and a hot water container where you can make your own coffee. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and they even offered suggestions since it was my first time. The prices may be a little steep foot some, $45 for two people, but supporting local, delicious food is worth it! By the way, there is a $1 fee to use cards to pay, so bring cash or you also have the option to pay using Zelle. I will definitely be back soon.
