Ownership changes have made it at least less aggressive hipster progressive hip - but also less condiment choices and no more cups of ice with sodas unfortunately. Thinner fare. They're fighting to stay on budget in 2026 perhaps. The fresh baked rolls every morning though certainly beat what competitors are putting out. Experiences coming to Pedalers has improved so much over the past few months. They've got good breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwiches are great too. Staff has changed and is more helpful and the owner seems to be on top of it and very attentive. Sandwiches have been exactly what was expected and the quality of all the items are good. Anyway, I found this place with good reviews and decided to give it a try. Besides sandwiches, they also offer ice cream and drinks. Stopped in for some ice cream and left with sandwiches! I never realized that there were two, delicious establishments in the same spot here but it is a treat! My husband and I loved the sandwich that we split and my stepson inhaled his so quickly that I didn't even get a chance to try it! New favorite sandwich spot! I work nearby and every sandwich I have tried here has hit the spot. They freshly bake the bread so they don't always have every option available depending on it they run out. The same woman has helped me each time and she is super friendly and helpful. Doordash had a deal for buy one get one free so you can't beat that! They also gave us two free chocolate chip cookies which were delicious. As someone who was an avid cyclist for many years, this place speaks to me. The décor and memorabilia is quite enjoyable to check out while you wait for your sandwich. My wife and I split the Fixe, because I rode one for many years. It was a winner, the red pepper aioli and porchetta were a treat that you just don't see very often. Ice cream is definitely quality but they try a little too hard to make every flavor fancy. Sometimes its hard to find anything I like. The icecycle creamery is a place that I have been in the later evenings, and inside of the building I have always noticed the deli, but never had the chance to try it out, so I decided to try it out! The staff was so helpful navigating the menu here, informing me about all of their personal favorites! I ordered the number 7 on Dutch crunch, and was BLOWN away! I am so glad that I found another great deli on lakeside which is where I spend a lot of my time. Also a great treat after your meal is the ice cream at the next counter over. Good food all around but expect a delay. I recently visited Pedalers Deli to pick up some sandwiches and ice cream to go. They have plenty of sandwich offerings and the ingredients are all fresh! Since it is deli-style it was also easy to modify any sandwiches as needed. I love how creative they are with their ice cream flavors and they never disappoint! You can get ice cream to enjoy immediately or to-go. Since it is a small restaurant, you are at the mercy of the lunch rush and it can take a while. It is definitely worth a visit, but maybe wait until non-peak hours. read more

Social Media score!! The owner of the business posted to facebook the special of the day, so Ly' and I headed over to see just what they have to offer! Going in, the place looked clean and in transition. Transition from the old place that I never had the pleasure of going to. So not much more to say about the atmosphere other than keep an eye out as they make the space their own, the few bike related things hint to the final product. For lunch we chose to share the special. A Bahn Mi inspired slow roasted pork sandwich for $8.95. It was downright good. We also each got a soup with it. I enjoyed both the black eyed pea soup and the butternut squash. Nice lunch. And if they keep putting out quality soups like we had today, this will be a place I will be dying to go on a regular basis. Also this place is carrying the local ice cream from IceCycle. This wonderful little deli is located at the top of Lakeside and right around the corner from my work and within walking distance. Pedalers shares space with Icycle Creamery (I reviewed the creamery separately) and both places are wonderful. On the occasions when I'm able to resist the ice cream, I am always very happy with the food here. Delicious, big sandwiches, wraps, salads and soup. I've never had a bad meal here. Their Baja tuna sandwich is a favorite and their soups are always amazing and unique. Great place for a quick lunch or to grab and go. read more

My husband and I went here today and got the #2 Cruiser on Italian herb Dutch crunch (me), he got the #4 Tricycle on French bread added avocado to it. It was so good! We also got two cups of French Onion soup that was very flavorful. He sampled the Cowboy Bean soup and said that was also very good. We sat inside and the girl that helped us was so kind and lively. She explained to us that they had been having weird hours due to staffing issues (no surprise, that's everywhere you go). But no matter, we sat down and it was just us, as we finished, a rush of people came in, and it was reassuring for a small business to be bustling on a Wednesday afternoon. A few weeks ago, a co-worker and I stopped into this place to finally give the ice cream of Icecycle Creamery a try. While we were enjoying our treat, we perused the deli menu a bit, and I was quite intrigued by some of their offerings, most especially The Cuban. Out running errands today, I happened to in the area and decided it seemed like a perfect time to treat myself to lunch. The menu boasts several tasty sounding sandwiches, making it tempting to veer off course, but I managed to stay focused on my quest for The Cuban. There are a variety of bread choices available, many of them sounding simply amazing. For today, I opted for the French roll to allow the meats of The Cuban to be the star of the sandwich. The first bite in, I was a happy, happy girl. The porchetta and ham married together with Swiss cheese and pickles to make a sandwich that demanded to be savored with each bite. Taking the visit up a notch was the friendly staff, each of whom seemed genuinely vested in making sure everyone who came in the door was greeted warmly and left happy. Of course, it also doesn't hurt that lunch here also meant the change to grab dessert here. When you add all that together, it really is about "As good as it gets!" and I'm certain to be searching for more reasons to find myself in the area when it's time for lunch. read more

Let me start off by saying I expect more from a $9 sandwich. I came to Pedaler's for the Icecycle creamery ice cream but since I was also hungry and surprisingly not in the mood to have ice cream for lunch, I decided to grab a sandwich too. My choice was the #4 Tricycle Club. I like that the meat is sliced fresh. I didn't like that the bacon on the sandwich was obviously precooked and thus, cold. I nixed the mustard and pickle. The lettuce had seen better days. I was really wanting it to be crisp and fresh, it was soggy and unappealing. I had the sandwich on whole wheat bread which was pretty good. I don't mind spending good money on a fantastic sandwich but this was not that sandwich. It didn't come with chips. It didn't come with a drink. It did not meet the expectations I want for a sandwich of that price. I would come back for the ice cream but I would look elsewhere for a better sandwich. read more

Located off lakeside dr, this little deli packs a punch. There is ample parking in the lot and quite a bit of seating inside. The deli is decorated in a bicycle theme with decorations everywhere. If you ride your bike you will get 10 percent off your entire tab. I ordered a custom sandwich. They offer sandwich specials and bicycle themed sandwiches. I ordered the salami and provolone on Dutch crunch. The bread is baked fresh daily and it was delicious. Soft, with a crunch on the outside, the bread held together well. The meat and cheese are sliced per order and your choice of condiments are put on. Anything from tomatoes,onions,mayo,mustard,peppers and shakers. I definitely will be back. Wow - what a great sandwich!! We had a BLT and a Chimichurri Beef sandwich at Pedalers and they were terrific. Wonderful three-seed bread and Dutch Crunch - both sandwiches were pressed and had wonderful ingredients and a great flavor palette. They have a very intriguing selection of house-made ice creams and sorbets which will have to be the subject of a later review. This is a great little place - a little confusing because it appears to be connected to the mini-mart/gas station which is in the same building, but is actually a totally separate operation. I have been wanting to try this place for years, and I finally tried it today. I cannot believe I waited so long! This may be my new favorite deli in Reno. I had the "cruiser" on dutch crunch. The bread tasted so fresh. It was nice and crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. The sandwich itself was huge! The cruiser comes packed with turkey, ham, cheese, and avocado; it's topped with mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle - it's a modern classic. Next time I may add pepperoncinis since I like a little spice. I definitely recommend the cruiser, but all of the sandwiches look good. I can't wait to try them all. read more

Yes, yes that darn good. So good that I demanded my boss have one himself on my dime shortly after my first trip. Their menu modest. There isn't a ridiculous amount of menu # options. They simplify it by "Make your own" or one of their 14 specialty sandwich options. I had the # 7 " Tour De Italia". Turkey, a red pepper aioli, balsamic vinaigrette, olive, red onion, pepperoncini, tomato, & arugula. I got mine on the jalapeno cheddar bread. New favorite hands down. All of their breads are made fresh in house. They also have homemade ice cream too in shop that has a wide variety of flavors. Some vegan and lactose free options! Went tonight with my five children. We will be back. I had the weekly special, the Banh Mi-tloaf. Garlic, ginger, lemongrass meatloaf with pickled daikon,carrot & jalapeño, fresh cilantro and a Sriracha lime aioli. Best sandwich I have ever had. Kids all enjoyed their sandwiches, plus the helpings are generous. The fresh made bread was excellent. We had the ice cream afterwards and it was every bit as good. I have always loved licorice ice cream and this was the best. The eclectic flavors are so unique and good. Two of my daughters had the Olive Oil and one the Rosemary. Both were excellent. Another had chocolate and it had the deepest chocolate flavor I have ever had. Scoops were 2.75 each and were a good size. No mini cups here. read more
