Seating inside and out! Attached is a photo from a Wednesday at 1pm in August. Busy-but our food was out in less than 15. I heard a couple saying, "I wish I would have gotten your chicken pot pie! I need something more than ice cream". We didn't get the pot pie...although tempting after a review like that! We got the black chicken grain bowl ($15) and the pork Ruben fry bowl ($15.75). Both were great! I enjoyed the grain bowl more simply because of the poblano avocado sauce. Coming from someone who doesn't like avocado... that's a big compliment. It added a good spice/ pizazz to the dish! No trace of avocado taste at all. The pork Ruben fry bowl was good too... but I felt that I could make it at home. read more

My third review in six years and they still deserve five stars for food, service, and ambiance. This time I had the Brussels Sprouts and hands down they are the best I have ever had. Sorry mom! Very nice eatery to visit. It's quite cute inside. You go inside and request a table and they will take you to a table, either inside or outside per your preference and availability. Once you review the menu, you go inside to order. Our food came out pretty quickly, within about 12 minutes. We ordered two chicken pot pies and a side order of brussels sprouts . This is smaller than the shareable size, but that was perfect for just the two of us. The pot pies were good and brussels sprouts were really delicious! Folks are friendly. Food was good but serving size could be better for pricing. Ordered a pick up meal and was disappointed in the small amount of fries considering there is a +$2 charge for them. Also, I feel as the entree size in general was on the smaller size. Typically when I've order fish tacos from other places the order comes with 3-4 tacos and this only had two. Anyone who loves California burgers knows that it is all about the tomato and the lettuce so imagine my disappointment when I ordered food, brought it back to my hotel, opened up the box and this is what I found. The problem with this, especially when you are talking about a $16 burger, is that either the cook was too lazy to find and slice more tomatoes and lettuce, or the restaurant was out of those two items. In the second scenario I should have been informed so that I could select another menu item but unfortunately, I suspect it was the first one. When things like this happen I also think about what other corners are being cut in the kitchen, such as cleanliness and sanitation. Unfortunately, I will not be visiting this particular establishment again if this is the kind of pride in quality and customer experience they are putting out, which is too bad because I have always thought about this particular restaurant as one of the better places to eat in Lanesboro. read more

I ordered a Pulled Pork Monte Carlo Bowl, and expected pulled pork, sauerkraut or cabbage, and some cheese. What I got was pulled pork and some sauces over a large bed of french fries. There was little, if any, sauerkraut. I've had several good meals at this restaurant in the past. But this meal was a big disappointment, and not worth the price. I suggest that Pedal Pushers pull this meal from their menu, and not be so cheap in the future. read more

Stopped in for lunch today. Very nice atmosphere, decorated well. We weren't sure what to try. I had the falafel salad. It was delicious and full of flavor. I was pleasantly surprised. Really overhyped especially given the largely positive reviews of this restaurant. We came in right before lunch time to beat the rush but ultimately waited almost an hour for our food. There was an option to order directly off our phones via QR scanner (option introduced during COVID-19) which we regret given it felt like that made things slower rather than directly ordering from a waiter. We also did not receive any waters too despite requesting for it. Food is overall average for American dining, but service is definitely a big part for the 2.5-3 star rating Ordered - Buffalo Burger (3/5). This tasted like any other burger and not like Buffalo. It was a little small and didn't make any lasting impression - Battered Fish & Fries (3/5). This was meh. From the moment we walked in it was truly a horrible experience. I wish we had never gone there. The hostess was rude and very inconsiderate of our seating preferences and said we needed to sit at the high tops despite our requests to sit at a booth. We sat for well over 15 minutes waiting for someone to take our order. We were not local and it was not clear via signage or verbal communication and direction that we were to get up and order somewhere else. This was extremely irritating and confusing. The food was barely considered edible. I couldn't stomach one of their salads and received judgmental looks and condescending comments from the same hostess and several staff members. I find it unprofessional and disrespectful on every account to so evidently degrade a customer for their own company's product, especially in the food industry. This is the first review I have ever written because the experience was truly that bad. Not only way this was our first trip to Lanesboro, but this was in celebration of my sister's birthday. I have never been more disappointed in an atmosphere, staffing, environment, and overall lack of basic human kindness and decency by staff members. Needless to say, pedal pushers cafe is the sole reason I will never be visiting Lanesboro again. read more

A unique dining experience to go with the bike riding experience on the Root River Trail.

We tried an array of their burgers. They are basic burgers and fries, nothing to write home about, although the bison burger with Minnesota raised bison was the clear winner. This place gets MOBBED on Saturday, so plan for a wait for a table, or do take out which is surprisingly fast even when they're busy. Definitely a good option after enjoying the many Root River outdoor delights. read more

This place is awesome!!! I've been coming to laney for years and can't believe I had not stopped in before this. It's farm to table so that is just exciting in itself. We ordered a cauliflower pizza and I swear that is the best pizza it was crispy crust and just all around goodness! I wish I lived closer I'd order it every week if I could haha. The kids got tenders which they loved and they had real soda, root beer and jaritos (you know the good stuff) - also love that they have paper table cloth for drawing haha one of my favorite things. Such a cute cafe in Lanesboro. There's fun, whimsical decor on the walls and paper on the tables with crayons for you to use to draw on. Food is also yummy. I got the chicken pot pie which was very comforting and it hit the spot. BLT chicken salad looked okay; nothing special. Desserts were great, and came with vanilla ice cream. They had a nice drinks menu with beers, wines, and specialty sodas that I have to try next time i stop by. Overall, I would revisit this spot if I were to come to Lanesboro. Such a great spot for lunch or dinner. We were visiting from out of town and popped in to Pedal Pushers for dinner. It was very busy, but we were seated quickly. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable - not pretentious. The service was fantastic. They offer 3 or so $5 glasses of wine and a few craft beer options. The menu is eclectic with something for everyone. I ordered the Swedish meatballs. I am sorry to say the only time I've had the Swedish Meatball was while eating at an IKEA. I am super happy to say that is no longer the case. They were really tasty! We also ordered the Korean Beef and local kimchi dish. Also really great! They had some decent looking gluten free options if you are into that/allergic. Overall this place is the bees knees and I recommend if you are looking for some comfort food with some flash thrown in. read more
