Delicious!!!!! Cheap. Must try. Favs were the Arepa de choclo, pandebono, and carnita arepa. Get with salsa.

Pecoshitas is a Columbian Bakery not to be missed. Located on the corner of 80th Street and Roosevelt Avenue which is a two block from the 82nd Street subway station on the 7 line. Family members have been going to Pecoshitas for their pastries and cakes. All time favorite is the Pastel Gloria. Puff pastry with Guava and Dulce de Leche. Flakey pastry make sure you got a napkin with you. With one bite you get the combo richness of the Guava with the Dulce de Leche. We get 4 of them cause they are so delicious. The beef empanadas are good and great for snack or lunch. The slices of cakes tried and delicious -Tiramisu- they go fast -Cheesecake -Postre Maracuya -Tres Leches -Red Velvet Not to mention -Cheese Danish- Blueberry, Almond too -Almojabana- Cheese bread Yes, once you walk in there will be a line which moves for there are 4+ ladies at the counter to assist. Friendly staff and very helpful with your selections. It got so overwhelming for there were so many different Columbian pastries. Daniella one of the staff guided me through the dessert items. Almost got Roscon- Guava Bread. Got so much sweets and dessert. There is an area where you can sit and enjoy your treats and goodies. As you enter store after opening two heavy doors, you are greeted with the smell of coffee aromas and baked breads. Ambiance is warm and inviting decor. Will be back soon.

The tres leches was good. The genoese cake even better as it was more soaked. If they made their tres leches cake like that it would be a hit. Both are similar!

Pechositas is a very large and clean Colombian bakery in Jackson Heights that I wish I lived closer to. My friend, sister and I went there and had some cafe con leche (tasted like Cafe Bostelo tbh), pan de bono, and a jugo de maracuya con agua. Everything was great- the passion fruit juice particularly stood out to me. I would definitely go back to try some passion fruit desserts.

Beef empanada - wow! Super delicious! Crunchy arepa like texture on outside & tender potatoish beef concoction inside. DELISH!

I have never went to a Colombian bakery or tried any of the bakery goods before. I was surprised how super delicious everything we got were! This place is a gem & I wish we had one like this in Brooklyn. We ordered: chicken empanada, beef empanada, pan de bono, pan de choclo. Chicken empanada - WOW! I have never had Colombian empanadas before so this was super amazing! The outside was not your typical empanada type. It was super crunchy on the outside and reminded me of an arepa. Inside was some potato chicken conction & it was very savory and delicious! I would reorder this again! Beef empanada - Soooooo delicious! I am use to eating Dominican/Puerto Rican empanadas, so this one surprised me a lot. It was so crunchy on the outside (reminds me of an arepa) and super savory on the inside (potato with beef concoction). Wow! I would reorder this again! The sauce (some pinkish sauce & a spicy sauce) they give you to eat with it made it taste even better! Pan de bono - Wow! Super delicious and cheesey! I took it home and airfried it. It was so crispy on the outside with gooey cheese on the inside. Super savory and delicious! It reminds me of the brazillian pao de quejia, but better! I would reorder this again! Pan de choclo - This reminds me of a sweet and savory arepa & a tasted like a corn bread. It was delicious! Highly recommend their empanadas & pan de bono! Will try their other food items next time!

Ate here today on a warm Sunday afternoon while walking around the neighborhood. I had brought and ate the cheese and chicken empanadas and a slice of tres les leches that it had super good and delicious. The service there was also attentive and friendly that I didn't feel rushed about what to choose and eat. I couldn't agree more. Finally, I would definitely eat and come back again next time! :)

I love it here. My family has been coming here for years! Everything from the empanadas to the buñuelos or even all the pastries are amazing. Our go to order also includes the large pan de queso which is super cheesy soft buttery loaf of bread. The service line is quick moving although sometimes long and out the door. The space is tight but nothing compared to years ago before they expanded they now have little tables to sit and enjoy your coffee and snacks. Highly recommend going earlier in the day to avoid the rush of people when work gets out!

I stumbled by Pecoshitas by pure accident. I was walking around, saw it had a massive line, and thought to myself, it has to be good. I came in and got one pork and one beef empanada. Honestly, I couldn't really tell the difference between the two meats when I ate them. However, the pastry was amazing. It was light and flavorful. There was a lot of filling inside. It was my first time having a Colombian empanada, and I can definitively say, it's my favorite kind of empanada. The price is amazing. It was only $3.75 for two empanadas. You can definitely have a meal here and be full without feeling like you've spent too much.

The service is friendly! The staff speaks both Spanish and English. I walked in a deep downpour to order my favorite snack ever at a Colombian bakery...you guessed it: empanadas! I ordered two beef(carne) and two pork (chicharron)! The outside shell on each them were made of crispy corn shell and is fried to crispy goodness. I love it. I highly recommend you stop by and try their baked goods and empanadas. So yummy!

The Portuguese egg tart is what you would expect from one of these bakery's, very basic but it was nice and flaky. The milk tea was also okay, we asked for less sugar so it was not too sweet. We also got the sesame mochi to go and this was delicious! Definitely the best thing I bought from this bakery. The sesame paste was nice and strong but not too gritty and the mochi was super soft. I have to go back to grab another when I get the chance!

We initially planned on getting a Strawberry Shortcake, as that seemed to be the cake to get. However, we opted for the Cheesecake, because we were able to add fresh strawberries (and whipped cream) on top! I'm not a fan of whipped cream, so I avoided that, but everyone seemed to enjoy. It had a good creamy texture and was not too sweet. The strawberries were indeed fresh. The pound cake was soft and airy. The vanilla flavor comes through. I didn't even know you could customize a tiramisu cake since it's usually served the traditional way, but they made it exactly how I wanted. As someone who loves tiramisu, this really stood out. I also ordered a strawberry shortcake, and it was just as impressive. The buttercream was so good , light, flavorful, and not overly sweet. Everyone loved it, and there wasn't a single slice left. The owner's son (I believe) was super helpful, he really takes the time to understand what you want and brings it to life perfectly. From other reviews seems like they're known for their ube cheese pandesal, ube cake, mango cake, pan de coco and pork asada bun. I picked up a torte Cebuana $3.25 and pan de coco $1.50. The former tasted similar to a pound cake in cupcake-like form, sprinkled on top with fine sugar. The latter was a sweet bun with shredded coconut that tasted sweetened with palm sugar. It had a lovely fragrant coconut flavor and was tasty though a tad too sweet for me. The store itself isn't big, a pretty casual set up with seating for maybe 12-15 at cafe tables.
