It started out good when I initiated the purchase of my 2024 Elantra on August 4th. During the test drive however, I noticed and mentioned the brakes (had to press a little to hard) ,was assured it would be taken care of if that was the only hold out of not purchasing. My texts and calls have now been ignored for the last few months causing me to pay out of pocket for them to be replaced along with the rotors $350 later,, dont trust a word that comes out of their mouths. read more

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Pearson Ford. I brought my daughter's 2021 Bronco Sport in because there was a strong exhaust/fuel-type odor entering the cabin through the HVAC system. Pearson diagnosed the problem as coming from the turbocharger/turbo flange or wastegate area and recommended replacing the turbocharger along with the catalytic converter, with an estimate of approximately $5,500. I was uncomfortable with that diagnosis and declined the repair. I then took the vehicle to another authorized Ford dealership for a second opinion. That dealership diagnosed the actual problem as the catalytic converter, which is covered under a Ford Customer Satisfaction Program. What concerns me most is that Pearson specifically told me they had inspected the catalytic converter and determined that the fumes were not coming from it. They instead attributed the problem to the turbocharger area. Had I trusted that diagnosis and authorized the work, I could have spent thousands of dollars on a repair that another Ford dealership determined was unnecessary. I understand that technicians can occasionally reach different conclusions, but this was not a minor difference in diagnosis. Pearson recommended thousands of dollars in customer-pay repairs for a condition that another Ford dealership identified as a covered Ford repair. Because Pearson's diagnosis proved to be incorrect, I believe the diagnostic fee I paid should be refunded. I paid that fee specifically for an accurate diagnosis of the problem, and I ultimately had to take the vehicle to another Ford dealership to obtain the correct diagnosis. I would also like Ford Motor Company to review Pearson's diagnosis and service documentation to understand how the catalytic converter was ruled out and why replacement of the turbocharger was recommended. This experience has significantly affected my confidence in Pearson Ford's service department. read more

I just had a terrible experience with the service department here. I have purchased several vehicles here and their sales staff is awesome. Dropped off car, no updates, no return calls. Went and picked up vehicle and took to another dealer and they got us in and fixed up. I would say they are not a solution on an auto repair. read more

Been taking my car to Pearson for the last 10 years, but never again. I took in my car for a squeaky issues eminating from the back left wheel area. They said they would need to order parts to fix a bushing and a sway bar and I agreed. They said they could not replicate the squeaking but they thought they saw where it was coming from. After a week they texted to let me know they ordered the wrong parts by accident and it would be another week (roughly) to get it completed. I said no worries, mistakes happen, I can live without the car for another week. When they were done and I got the car back, I reproduced the squeaking issue on the way home. So now we're at -$600 and 2 weeks without my daily driver for nothing. I waited a few weeks because I needed the car for work. I finally took it back in and said it was still happening. They took it and said they think they knew what was causing it this time, but still could not replicate it. I said hold on, let me come in and help you reproduce this, because it is not hard to do, and I want you to be sure this time so I don't spend money for nothing. I came in, replicated the issue, and they said they're pretty sure it was my rotor and maybe brakes. I said this would be a good time to replace the rusty caplipers as well, and specifically I was hoping to get some nice cherry red calipers to enhance the curb appeal of the car. They said sure and I left the car with them again. Over a week goes by, they said it's ready. I go to pick it up and what do I find, standard grey calipers on the car. I said this is not what we agreed on, and to keep the car and let me know when they get the right calipers installed on it. After a few days I get a text saying that they could paint them for me. I said I don't want painted calipers, I wanted the nice ones from the store, not painted over ones. More time passes. They said they can't return the ones I've paid for already because they were already installed, but that they could paint them instead. So they ordered the wrong parts, installed them to make them unreturnable, before I had a chance to say anything. This portion cost over $3000 and took over 2 weeks without the car again, for a grand total of almost $4k in expenses for the wrong part and them skirting around the issue instead of fixing their mistakes. They do not deserve your business, find a better shop that cares about getting jobs done right. read more

Without question, one of the worst service experiences I have ever had in an automobile dealership. As we live in Zionsville, and have owned at least 15 Fords over the last 30 years, we really want Pearson Ford service to be good. I made an appointment over the phone and had a scheduled time of 11 AM on a Monday. I dropped off the car on Sunday night. There were two relatively simple warranty issues that needed to be resolved as the car is a 2025 model with 6000 miles on it. I was in frequent communication with their service writer about the status of my vehicle. Late Wednesday afternoon I was told one issue was resolved and they were working on the other issue. I called back on Thursday morning and was told they were working on the remaining issue. I let them know I had to have the vehicle by Thursday night, as I was leaving town the next day. When I went in to pick up the vehicle on Thursday night around 5 PM, neither issue was resolved and the driver side power seat no longer worked. So the car was delivered on Sunday night with two issues and I got it back on Thursday night with three issues. Unfortunately this is not the first time that we have had a poor service experience at Pearson. The fact of the matter is they are consistently bad in resolving problems with a vehicle. I really want them to be good, but I now just give up. It's just too hard. read more

I had a B&O subwoofer buzzing. So I made an appointment to get it checked out for warranty work. Well I took off the morning from work and they weren't prepared for a basic check. They said I could drop it off and it would be one or two days. Basically piling in the work on a Monday and we'll get around to it. They were also fresh out of "loaners" on a big dealership. Thanks I'll save money and just buy one. Warranty doesn't mean crap, unless I can be without a vehicle for a few days. I'll remember that with my next Ford...I mean Toyota. read more

Took my MACH-E in for a recall appointment, and the team was easy to work with, great with communication, and even finished a day early!

I had an appointment to drop my car off at 8 AM on a Wednesday morning, was told my car would need two days. After playing phone tag and talking to multiple people on the sixth day I just finally went and picked up my car. They hadn't touched it, in fact, couldn't even find the car for 30 minutes. Absolutely no communication skills whatsoever. I bought my car from there and this buying the car was a good experience but I will never visit the service center again. Absolutely incompetent. Derek was our Service Rep. and he was awesome! He went to bat for us with the warranty company, he did his best to stay up on things and keep me abreast of everything. I bought a new Ranger from them late 2024 - from the start their service is just the worst I have experienced over the last 30+ years of owning vehicles. They do not pick up the phone, do not reply to messages, do not get back via text, and when they do treat you like crap. No one there seems to care about their customers in the least. Even an email to the owner pleading for help to get my truck's window fixed went unanswered. I regret wholeheartedly buying my vehicle from them and would save others the horrible experience. I have started taking my truck to Don Hinds for service - a lot further away, but I can actually schedule an appointment and get information, and got a call back, how novel! read more

Single handedly the worst customer service I have ever witnessed. left truck there for 7 days, never received a phone call updating me what was going on. Left 8 voicemails over that time period. never even received a call back. Finally, I just got a ride and picked up truck, and they charged me for a diagnostic fee and nothing had been done in 7 days. Absolutely horrible!!! Will never use them again, and will not buy another car there either. read more

Definitely recommend! We had called before coming in to inquire about a vehicle in their inventory, and we were able to give some information ahead of time to help potentially start the process of buying a new vehicle. When we had arrived to look at this vehicle they had already had all the information laid out and the vehicle brought to the front of the dealership for viewing/ test driving. Sean & Kayleigh made this process so smooth and was willing to negotiate to help better fit our needs/wants! read more

I got a coupon for my oil change so I decided to take it to the dealership instead of Take 5 this time. I called a few days ahead of time to make an appointment. I left a message and my call was returned the same day. I was given the option because I was within 10 miles to have a tech come out and do my oil change and inspections on site. I declined due to my schedule and made an appointment to come in. When I brought the car in everything was going well. The service advisors checked me in and led me inside to sit. I was able to do some work thanks to the free WiFi. Two hours later Im running late for work and I asks about my car. It was going to be another 20-25 minutes. I had to take a Lyft to work. That they covered since my car wasn't ready. When I returned my car was ready and all I could think was I should have taken it to Take 5. I can only Imagine how long it would have taken if I had gotten my tires rotated. read more

Just repeated missteps with the service department compel me to discontinue using Pearson. The final straw: 1. I call 10 days in advance to get appt 2. We list the three services to perform 3. This place has new managers in every department and it shows. Way to go Pearson! So easy to do business there now.

Update: I recently received a phone call from the owner of Pearson Ford. After a pleasant conversation about customer service, the situation and business, he left me feeling better about the situation. He both remedied this mess with HIS customer service and financially. I've updated this because a few shouldn't ruin things for the larger whole. That said, if I do return I'd be asking for a different service manager. Original: Absolutely do not go here for service. Long story short, they told my husband they were putting new tires on the back. Two months and one flat later, I find out that they moved our front tires to the back and put new ones on the front. On top of that, the lug nut was on too tight for two guys from AAA to get it off with all their equipment. Once I contacted them for information/help on this tire issue, they tried to blow me off, said that the new place I took my car was lying to me, and that I had to personally contact the tire company. I then had to continue to bother them to see if they'd do anything about the situation (there was a lot more that I haven't included). They told me it was a clerical error... Look for somewhere else to go. Not only was their service shoddy, but their customer service was awful. I will give props to two management people, but by the end of the whole saga they too seemed sick of dealing with me. read more

I've been bringing my Escape Hybrid for service here since I bought it in 2005 at a dealership in Illinois. I have been pleased over the years with their straightforward approach to service with no apparent attempts to sell me extra, and likely unnecessary services. I usually make my service appointments for first thing in the morning and just wait while they work on my vehicle. The free wifi is good, and the waiting area and restrooms are clean. I bring my laptop and work while I wait. Typically my vehicle is ready around noon, and so, yes, that means I'm typically working in their waiting room for about 4 hours when I bring my vehicle in for maintenance, but given that I have a hybrid, I feel more comfortable coming here for anything more complicated than oil changes or tire rotations. The only glitches I've run into over the years involve communication between schedulers and the service advisors. I always tell whomever I speak with why I'm bringing the vehicle in, and this isn't always passed along to the service advisors. On one occasion, after driving here for an appointment, I was told they couldn't do the work I needed because it involved the exhaust system. I wish the person answering the phones had known they don't do exhaust system work. That was a wasted trip and wasted time off from work. The website doesn't always work in terms of getting information to the service advisors either. The service advisors have noted they don't get updates from there unless the appointments are scheduled a week or more out. Oh, and there is a cockatiel that lives here. It's usually in the sales area, but on one visit it walked over into the service waiting area. It's a very cute and friendly bird; it's an unusual but nice touch! read more

What an absolute travesty of a Service department. It was such a pleasure to make an online appointment two weeks in advance only to be advised they cannot help you when you show up for the appointment. No call ahead to reschedule, just a surprise look that you showed up. I guess it makes more sense not to forecast and properly handle appointments. They told me they have people waiting for days for service. There was not even an attempt to reschedule then, just sorry, can't help. I expressed my displeasure with this and advised of my concern for safety on what the car was doing. Without going into detail my transmission has been lurching and slamming into gear. The manager heard my concerns and advised they would get it in to be looked at, you know being a safety concern and all. When no one called me later, I decided to call towards the of the day to get an update and next steps. I got the additional pleasure of sitting on hold for 30 minutes only to be told they can't get anyone in the service department to pick up. Informed them that I was on my way to pick up my car and wanted it ready out front. Picked up my car and decided to pull my dashcam footage. It was amazing to find that my car sat in the parking lot all day. No one even looked at it. If Pearson can't competently handle service appointments, I wonder what attention they provide to your vehicle when they do work on it. Total loss of confidence. Hopefully Ford can direct me to a reputable Ford service department for my bumper to bumper warranty issue. read more

***DO NOT GET YOUR CAR SERVICED HERE***I dont usually leave reviews (good or bad), unless the service was outstanding, or absolutely terrible. Unfortunately, in this case, the service was terrible. I brought my car in three days ago for a Ford "multipoint inspection", where they supposedly inspect your car from top to bottom, check your tires, your breaks, your windshield wipers, the oil, and things like leaks and stuff. Basically, a thorough inspection meant to identify any issue early, before it becomes a major problem. I waited in the waiting room for an hour and a half while they were working on my car. When they got done, the guy didnt tell me, so I was still waiting until I got tired of waiting, and walked up to the service desk. And he told me that he forgot to let me know. At Walmart, you get a text message when they are done with your car. Anyway, my car passed the inspection with flying colors, except for my brakes that needed to be replaced. But even though my "check engine light" was on, they never checked the issue. The next day when I went to Belle Tire to have my brakes replaced and coolant flushed, they told me that my coolant was seriously leaking on the engine, which explained why my car had overheated just a few days ago. And a different Ford dealership confirmed the leak, and quoted over $500 to fix it (see photo). So PEARSON FORD's multipoint inspection a day before did NOT identify a major leak in my vehicle. They are either lying about actually doing an inspection, or their technicians are completely incompetent. I went there, and complained, but the service guy couldnt explain how a car with a huge coolant leak passed a multipoint inspection just a day before. And they refused to let me speak with a manager so I could voice my complaints. That's awful customer service. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE FOR SERVICE. read more

So, within 27 days of my last review, I have to have the entire transnational replaced, including the part Pearson was supposed to have fixed over a month ago. The new dealer said there was metal in my fluids, complete breakdown of the part which was fixed by Pearson, which also caused the rest of my transmission to fail along with all 3 sensors. It was so bad, my warranty agreed to not make me go back to Pearson and have it fixed by the new place. Shameful!!! read more

I had my car serviced about a month ago. Just needed the back hinges replaced on my back window of my escape. In the process my window was scratched in multiple spots. The service manager TJ stated they would take care of it since it was their fault. About two weeks later I finally called to get an update and they told me he quit. Not good experience with Quick Lane. After a week they finally called back to schedule. By that time we went ahead and scheduled with Pearson Ford Service for the The Works package. I purchased a certified 2020 Ford Escape Sept of last year. I found it had a speaker that rattled badly every time the music hit bass notes. Also, the blind spot system gives false warnings constantly. I took into service for repairs. When I picked it up, I was told that no problem was found. On the way home, same problems. I went right back a few days later to complain. They ordered a speaker. When I called in December they said they didn't forget me, speaker didn't come in yet. In Feb. I found out from a source that they had it in stock. Still heard nothing. I finally got fed up and went to the dealership to complain. I was told they would check and give me a call this Wednesday. No call. Not surprised. Still no speaker installed since last November. I could probably get them to do the speaker now. More problems surfaced since then but I don't trust that they will repair those either. I'll get the "no problem found " routine. I will not take it back there for anything read more

This is not just a bad service complaint. It's a warning. Made an appointment to have the transmission checked to see if it just needed service prior to the normal interval due to the towing we do, or if there was another issue. Also asked for an oil change and to check one recall. Was told it would take a "day or two." Not what I was originally told, but I was okay with an extra day. Four days go by, and I called the service manager. Was told they would get it done that day. I get notified later that the transmission was serviced and they were just waiting for the oil change and recall check. I had been told all week that they were waiting on the transmission tech for that, but assumed they could have fit in 30 minutes to do the other work in that 4 days. I go to pick it up, oil had not been changed, recall not checked, but they assured me the transmission filter and fluid had been changed. That turned out to be a flat-out lie to my face. Reported to Ford Corporate, The Attorney General and now Carfax because they were dumb enough to enter the service they didn't do on the Carfax report and actually sent me a copy of it. Not only horrible service in general, but borderline if not actually criminal fraud. Beware, you have been duly warned. read more
