I would definitely not recommend this business. I saw Dr. Evangelous Vatianou, and was extremely…read moredisappointed. I had to go back twice for glasses, and finally gave up due to his incompetence. When I called to make the first appointment, I explained that I had double vision that required a prism lens in addition to my regular prescription. I was told that the doctor was proficient with this type of vision issue. He was not! When I picked up the first pair, he didn't even check my vision with the new glasses. The next morning, I called and explained that these glasses were worse than my old ones. Their answer was to keep them for a week because it takes time to get used to the new prescription. This has never been my experience with new glasses. The next pair I received (after another eye exam) was worse than the first. I asked for a refund which I did receive. The doctor did not even talk to me or apologize to me for his inflated opinion of his ability. I asked for a refund. I am now going to another doctor who performed many different exams and procedures and, while it took quite a while, I couldn't be happier with the results. If I could have rated his a 0, I would have.

Great Doctor and very friendly and helpful staff. It's my second visit, but first as a patient. I…read morecame here last year with a friend for her exam and she had the same great experience. They are a lot more busy than last year and it's easy to see why. What stands out is the exam. There is another Dr. there, but the one I saw and my friend saw last year was Dr. Ymalay. He takes the time and listens to my complaints and then addresses them after the exam and kind of connects the dots as to why I had those complaints and how it's related to my prescription and health of my eye. No one really did that before. He made some suggestions as to the type of contacts I should use and the kind of glasses to get; not in a pushy or salesman kind of way, but more of an informative way. He also took pictures of my retina and explained how everything works and how things would look if it wasn't healthy. It's pretty cool to see what's inside your eye. Now the frames aren't high end or anything, but I thought the prices were more than reasonable for what you're getting. I've paid almost 2x more for the same pair in past places. The guy that helped me (Larry or Gary...? sorry) was great, he knew his stuff and made it super easy. A lot of the other customers there had positive things to say about the Dr as well while they were buying there glasses. There was a lot of "nice seeing you again". I just had an overall good experience from beginning to end and would recommend this place to anyone.

I have been having eye issues and I can't thank the Johnson Eye Care team for being so patient and focused on helping me. I have been wearing glasses since I have been a kid and was extremely impressed with how sophisticated all of the equipment their equipment was. It's extremely professional and was able to get to the root of the issues with my issue while Dr Schoepke did a deep look into what I have going on. Being that I am a very technical person ... I was geeking out with all the gear the have ( can you tell ). Oh btw no Air blowing in your eyes here to check your pressure... on top of it Dr Schoepke said those tests are no very reliable. Here's the deal... a year ago I was told from sketchy Dr in the western suburbs that I have a rare eye issue and I would have to go to Canada to stop for going blind in the future. I was relieved that this is not true and the issue I have just needs to be monitored. I have had a weight on my shoulders since that last visit.... I can believe I waited this long. To top it off the they have a great selection of glasses and Mary was extremely helpful picking out the right frames for me. Big thank you to the Johnson Eye care Team. If you follow me you probably know I am very picky and I can tell you I would HIGHLY recommend coming here to get the best care. Wow!
