I love the doc there, Dr. Outinen, but the customer service is wretched. The last time I was there, to pick up a pair of contacts, I asked one of the employees if she would adjust my glasses while I was there. Like the other reviewer, she asked if I had purchased them at Pearle Vision and when I told her no, she told me there was a $50 fee. Now, aside from the fact that this amount is absolutely ludicrous, aside from the fact that I've had my glasses adjusted there for years (including a different pair that they adjusted, literally the week before), aside from the fact that I've been going to this location (*and* bringing both my teenagers there) for close to a decade and have spent many hundreds of dollars -- there was also the issue of her attitude. She was smug and condescending, and seemed to take a great deal of pleasure in refusing to do this small service for me. Judgy AF because I didn't want to spend $500+ on a pair of cookie-cutter frames. I guess that's what you get when you go to Pittsford for eye exams. At this point, I'm not sure what I'll do. Doubt I'll go back, despite holding the optometrist in such high regard. read more

I had an okay experience here. Came here for an annual eye exam and contact lens fitting. This took around an hour and fifteen minutes total. It's very easy to make an appointment, and all the staff that work there are very nice and friendly. I wish that the process was a little more streamlined and also wish I was offered the disposable sunglasses after having my eyes dilated. You can order glasses and contacts very easily through them which I appreciate. read more

This place has the worst customer service. The doctor was great and the pre exam and exam were great. The process of purchasing glasses did not go well. They were not straightforward with the pricing and the price was actually higher because we had insurance. We also had a contact fitting. My trials did not work out and the name on the package of the trial was different than the brand I normally wear. We questioned that and instead of explaining they were one and the same they choose to argue with us and tell us they would not order new trials. At this point I left a review on google expressing that I was not happy with my experience. We then spoke to someone else in the store who confirmed that the brand was the same but had a different name and they would order other trials. They also actually apologized. A short time later I received a call and was told they did not want me as customer anymore because I left them a negative review. I let them know their other staff member had actually resolved the contact issue and I was not happy with how we were treated initially but all they had to do was make it right and we can move forward. She stated the owner did not want me as a customer and then accused me of insulting staff members and disrespecting them which I did not. Thanks for waiting my time. It might be wise to learn how to deal with complaints and customer service. If you didn't like the google review maybe you should have made it right to avoid more negative reviews. read more

Been a patient of Dr Sachs for years. He's great but Pearle can basically suck it. They tried to get $50 out of me to adjust my sunglasses. They said because I didn't buy them there. They've been adjusting all my glasses for years if I bought them there it not. All they needed was for me to agree to a waiver. $10 maybe but $50 is crazy. I'll never buy a damn thing there again and I was a customer for over 20 years. read more

This truly was an amazing experience. I brought my son in after looking for glasses at two others places, one finally he found a pair he liked. Jessica helped us, she was so accommodating. Asking what colors, and styles that he liked. She was very friendly and patient. Some people dont like to sit around while kids make decisions, but she was great! I think I've found my new spot for glasses... because I need them as well. read more

I have a rarely worn, very expensive pair of Versace frames that are defective. I called and the store said that I did not pay for their insurance so they could not be fixed. NOW I have a very expensive pair of glasses I can't wear because it is obvious they have something wrong. I am appalled at the service or lack of any assistance offered. Now I'm screwed. Love love it here! All staff has been really kind even the doctor. I have recently decided to get contacts and I keep ripping them. I called today because I burned both eyes and wasnt too sure if I ripped my contacts. Then I had to call back because there is a red dot on the white of my eye, they said that I can come in today at x time and so I am here lol. They looked at my contacts and they are indeed both ripped lol. The ladies were telling me their contact stories and eventually I'll get it. I have had difficulties at other optometrists to get my difficult vision prescription correct, but the experts at Pearle Vision in Pittsford Plaza got it right the first time and with a perfect fit!. There were also very helpful in choosing a new pair of frames. And I've since been back to get a second pair as a spare when my health insurance permitted renewed. I went here to update my glasses perscription and get new pair. I chose Pearle vision because it had the most available exam times. That should have been a red flag. While the staff was pleasant I found my glasses to be nauseating and not effective. I had a second opinion on my perscription since I could not find an appointment that worked to get my lenses fixed. They were very far off of my perscription, I wanted a refund due to how poor the exam was. I was told I could only get 70% back. Then the owner informed me that's how the optics business works no one really does full refunds. So I accepted it. A simple google search revealed a 30 day gurantee full refund is the standard business practice. When I finally got my receipt for the partial refund. The owner picked up the glasses, said they were broken and took away the refund. read more

Dr. Sachs is always great, but the customer service is TERRIBLE. The office made a mistake and gave me the wrong prescription contacts (prescription way too weak). When I called to say I couldn't see with this prescription, I was told I needed ANOTHER exam and had to wait a month!! I then asked if she could check with the doctor, and the receptionist got a big attitude and hung up on me. I called back and spoke with the office manager, who was nice, but never once apologized for the mistake that they made. Needless to say, I'll be looking for a different office.... and I won't be seeing clearly for the next few days. read more

Went for eye check-up to get new contacts. Everyone there is extremely, knowledgable, friendly and helpful. Cary did a great job getting me all the possible discounts along with getting a free pair of sunglasses! She kept me laughing the entire time. Great service. You might save a few bucks online, but having local service is handy. These guys have always been super helpful. I just had a problem with a lens coating and my warranty was a bit expired but they fixed it free. I was ready to spend $100+ but they're like "we got this". Oh, and they fixed it in 10 minutes. 20/20, would see again. read more

Pretty cute girls who work there. Very quick and friendly service. They were able to find me the most attractive glass types for my face. They went above and beyond for my eye exam and tested for ocular disease compared to the shitty Visions Works nearby. Would highly recommend 8 out of 5. read more

Made an appointment in the store for the following week. Went for my appointment to find they never put it in their system (after giving ME a reminder card) and were too busy to see me then. I agree that Dr. Sachs and Vito are great people. Unfortunately I feel like the markup is ridiculous on the designer glasses. Probably because of the location. When I went to pick up my glasses I felt that there was no interest in adjusting my frames to fit perfectly because I purchased my frames elsewhere. I was told I needed to get use to them whenever I Asked a question about the fit. I left disappointed again because I was also told that they didn't want to adjust them too much because they weren't their frames and they might break. I purchased an exact pair of designer glasses for $200.00 less from a friend. I even saw the same pair online for $300.00 less! My son had the same feelings about his adjustment and we bought the frames there! We enjoyed working with Vito and the Doctor was very kind... that's why we completed our transactions to the end. I have to agree with Susan P's review there's an underlying current of awkwardness after you've paid upfront. We may consider another location to have our frames adjusted if "I don't get use to them first" read more

Pearle Vision is massively over priced and elitist. Their selection of frames is terrible unless you want to pay over $400 for frames. Their attitudes are terrible when helping to adjust your fit. The man literally helped me for 5 minutes before losing patience and telling me I had to just wear them as is and I could not try to adjust them myself he said, or I would void the warranty. Unacceptable. Their staff is incredibly pretentious and elitist and I over heard them bad mouthing Donald Trump. I will never go to any Pearle Vision center ever again. read more
