It is so very relaxed (her "office" is artistic, stylistic, comfortable living room feel) going through the process with Tamra. She works with the customer - does not dictate TO the customer - what works well (shape, color, frame material etc.). I love the frames we selected - they are incredibly unique, come from a small business in Italy, and are beautifully crafted - it really is a piece of art. People comment all the time on my new glasses - which I love to wear instead of having to rely on contacts every day. The service and commitment to the customer is what I would wish for everything I give my hard-earned money too. They are pricier than those typical mass-produced, boring standard glasses you get at optical stores, but it is so worth it for something that you will use forever - great value.

I looked around Yelp in the internet and this place was recommended as a best place in town to fix glasses. I popped in and it turns out one of the owners is the greeter. This is fantastic as for many small businesses the owners are nowhere to be seen. Right out of the gate he was friendly, happy, and wearing a really sharp pair of glasses (for him). I mentioned that I found them on Yelp and showed him my glasses. He was pretty sure it was an easy fix and would be done in a couple days for 10 or 15 bucks. To my enjoyment he called the very next day to say they were done. Got here a few minutes before my appointment and the place was packed. Not to mention that while I was sitting here to walk ins' came in just to check out the place. If you want a unique design and/or a unique design with color this is your place. Normally when I'm browsing around my opticians office, it's dozens of boring glasses that all look exactly the same.... gray, black, brown, charcoal gray, silver gray.... Eye Openers is exactly what their name suggests, frames that start the conversation. Frames that are in fact eye openers. And all my years on Yelp I normally wait until I have several reviews to write and then write them. Twice I have received an appointment confirmation email from their scheduling program Klara, only to arrive at the office to be told that my appointment was canceled because the doctor was doing surgeries that day. I never received a text, email or phone call about any such cancellation. The first time this happened the new practice manager assured me she would get the situation in hand. The second time was over a year later, the practice manage was at a different office that day, and I declined to reschedule.

The staff for the glasses side is excellent. I can't rate the doctors since I never went there. They have a huge selection of glasses to get from. They have a 1 hour option of your glasses are in stock. But if they don't have it don't be upset. They have included with the price a 1 year guarantee which I thought was awesome. Most places charge you extra. If you are sick of over paying for glasses come here to totally with it!!

I know it was close to closing time but it was obvious that she was in a hurry to get out from behind the desk and ignore the customers in the waiting area. After the exam it was obvious that we wouldn't get our glasses the same day. We asked for a copy of the exam so we could go elsewhere to purchase glasses, and we were given an eye roll with our copy. The eye doctor didn't know how to help me with an eyesight issue and told me to talk to my PCP instead. That issue is something he should've been able to help me with, after all, he's an eye expert. Another thing, is after I was rushed through my eye exam, waiting for the prescription and while waiting in the lobby... the male optician, Gene, tried to get me to look at frames when I couldn't see a thing. My eyes were dilated and he was trying to make a sale with me. How could I buy anything, see how the frames looked on me, if I couldn't see? I just don't get this place. The receptionist, Sara can be sweet, but she hasn't always been so sweet. During the pandemic my young child was with me and she said my young child couldn't come with me to the frames area. That they had to wait out in the lobby by themselves, without me. I was furious! How could she ask me to abandon my child, leave them out there alone? Breaking her "rules" was not acceptable. They have great frames that are cool and interesting, different from other places. But if the other parts are lacking, which they are, I won't be back. It's unfortunate.

ROC Vision had an easy to use website with online scheduling. I was able to schedule something for the next day. I checked in at my scheduled time and was promptly greeted by the friendly lady working the front desk. No wait, straight to some eye measurements. The whole process was efficient. Dr. Lee was pleasant and had a good bedside manner. He explained everything clearly and performed a thorough retina exam. I would definitely return. The fact that it's in a Costco, also helps. Don't forget to bring a designated driver, if you intend to get your pupils dilated.

The exam was conducted professionally, efficiently, and courteously. Dr. Lee was very good at explaining each step of the way and he demonstrated mastery of the equipment and test procedures. I chose to go with the optional retina imaging and he immediately identified a retinal tear in one of my eyes. He then sent the info over to my retina doctor (I've had a couple of retinal tears in the past) and I was able to have it repaired the next day. I consider the services of Dr. Lee to be outstanding and highly recommend him to anyone looking for an expert eye exam.
