This is why you don't pay attention to old reviews. This place was such a pleasant find. On our way to Lake View from Coos bay, the travel center was convenient to pump gas. We decided to get a quick bit at the Casino restaurant, with low expectations having read the Yelp reviews. There is excellent RV parking, we were happy that the Casino did not smell of smoke, and the staff at the restaurant were amazing. After ordering, the food did not magically appear, which we took as a good sign. The wait was not unbearable, but the food was excellent, especially the crispy chicken sandwich. Really happy with this find. read more

We came here in a night that the whole town was out of power. So they were a bit slammed but our waiter was attentive. There was only one chicken parm left for the night- and I made sure to get it. Our waiter said it is made in house and is popular. It was pretty decent- the chicken did come out a bit cold- and it was dumped with so much cheese- a bit too much for my liking. My boyfriend ordered the steak spaghetti Marsala- and I would give that a 1star- it was waaaayy too salty. Not just the steak itself but the whole thing. I needed to chug some water after a bite because it seemed like someone accidentally spilled the salt shaker into that dish. For a small local casino restaurant, the food was mid. Options are pretty limited in this small town, but the restaurant inside the casino turned out to be a great find with a reasonable menu. I ordered the steak sandwich and it was massive. It's a very big, filling portion, and the taste was pretty good. If you're looking for a hearty, satisfying meal around here that gives you your money's worth, this spot is definitely your best bet. read more

Located inside the local casino, we loved their food! Go early for dinner if you can, there was quite a line for a table on a recent Friday evening for dinner around 6.30pm. We both ordered their smothered chicken dinner; I highly recommend it! Everything was cooked perfectly. Even their side salad was excellent. On another visit we tried their Spaghetti & meatballs (excellent taste with good ratio of sauce to pasta) with the biggest piece of garlic bread we have ever seen; along with their BALT sandwich (also very tasty). We obviously enjoyed their menu - we went twice! There is currently some construction going on outside, so just be aware. read more

I'm honestly shocked by how we were treated here. We walked in and were seated immediately. Another waitress was very friendly, took our drink order, and told us our server would be with us shortly. Unfortunately, that was the last bit of service we received. We then sat at table 17 for over 25 minutes without our assigned server acknowledging us a single time. No hello. No "I'll be with you in a minute." Nothing. What made the experience especially frustrating was that we could hear the other waitress repeatedly reminding our server that two people were waiting at table 17. I personally heard her tell her at least four times not to forget about us. Meanwhile, our server continued helping other tables while blatantly ignoring ours. I'm a very patient person. If the restaurant had been slammed and someone had simply acknowledged us or apologized for the wait, I would have completely understood. But watching our server repeatedly pass us by after being reminded multiple times that we were waiting made this feel entirely different. I don't know whether it was because we were from out of town or what the reason was, but after more than 25 minutes of being completely ignored, we finally left. I do want to give credit to the other waitress who initially greeted us and repeatedly tried to get our server to come over. She clearly recognized that we were being neglected and genuinely tried to help. I believe our assigned server's name may have been Alex, although I'm not positive, so I don't want to state that as fact. Whoever was assigned to table 17 that evening provided some of the worst service I've experienced--not because the service was slow, but because there was effectively no service at all. We were ready to order, spend money, tip well, and enjoy our evening. Apparently getting someone to acknowledge our existence was asking too much. read more

Extremely slim pickings for food around this part of town, especially if you are around during the weekdays and need dinner. We did a Crater Lake National Park trip and stayed in the area for a couple of nights. This restaurant is located inside the casino and you can get gas too. The hours are generous and menu is vast (for being in a small town). Where we stayed had a microwave and fridge, so we decided to order larger portions of our meals to eat the leftovers the next night. We got the chicken parm and a full rack of ribs. The house salad was surprisingly good - crisp romaine (no sad iceberg here) with some tomatoes and cucumbers. The chicken parm was not good - large portions and the accompanying garlic bread was delish. The ribs were tender, sauced well, and was definitely the tastier entree out of the 2. It seems like the consensus for the reviews are to stick with the burgers, steak, and ribs. The service was pretty half-hearted, but to be expected since they seem like they are perpetually understaffed. Overall, prices are reasonable for being the only game in town and as long as you manage your expectations, it is a good enough place to get a hot meal. Parking: easy read more

Service was ok. Ambiance nice. We ordered chicken Parmesan, 1/2 rack of ribs, patty melt and the French dip. The portions were big! Best part of the chicken Parmesan was the garlic bread it came with and the side salad. The side salad was fresh! The chicken Parmesan lacked flavor. Had to add so much salt and pepper to eat it. The ribs were ok. The corn was terrible that came with it. The French dip was good. Skinny fries were the best and plentiful. The patty melt was fine and the chicken noodle soup it came with was good. read more

The food is good, nothing spectacular. Same menu for way to long. Spaghetti and goulash are way to tart. Should be tamed down with sugar. Burgers are very good. Steak tends to be on point. Ribs are very good. Soups are very good. read more

Probably the worst restaurant experience this 68 year old has ever had. Lousy service. Had to ask for water. Mixed drink watered down tasted like no booze in it. Mashed potatoes at least 2-3 days old. Vegetables mushy and cold. Prime rib unlike any I've ever had. Black. Mostly gristle and fat. Meat had odd taste as if it had been sitting in a dirty pan for a couple days. Absolutely terrible. Total waste of time and money. And they advertise this hole as a "culinary gem". We should have walked out. We were hungry and made the mistake of sticking it out. Bad decision. Like burning money in the fireplace. Ripoff+++++. I'd give it a negative 10 stars if I could. Hogs eat better. Really! read more

The food is mediocre at best. The selection is a half step above stadium food and the service is very hit or miss. Some staff are friendly and others outright hostile. Negative stars for ambience as it would have been more pleasant to eat in a dentist's office. read more

Mixed feelings on the food between the two of us. To begin with my cheeseburger and fries were hot and amazing. It was absolutely perfect. That alone would make this place a 5*. My husband on the other hand ordered a taco salad and didn't eat it. He thought it was bad and didn't think it was fresh. Not sure that's true but what is true is that he did not eat it and tossed it. That would equal a 1*. Our server was great. There were no complaints there. However, when we mentioned how cold it was in there she agreed that it was cold but told us "SHE" keeps warm because she's working. So, in the meantime my husband had to walk out to our rig to get us two jackets. We weren't the only ones that had to do that. Two other tables did. One had a party of 6 and the other a party of 2. So, if you can't enjoy the food without making a trip to your vehicle, I would say that it is a good place to eat. Sorry. read more

In the town of Chiloquin, where we were based for our visit to Crater Lake National Park, eateries were very few. Our choices were Peak to Peak, a pizza shack, or gas station hotdogs. We decided to eat at Peak to Peak since it was a 3 minutes walk. This place was located inside a casino. It was busy and was a 15-minute wait for us. We ordered ribeye steak, patty melt, Alfredo, and country fried steak. For the sides, we had house salad, mashed potatoes, and steamed veggies. The meal was a mixed bag. The ribeye and country fried steak were cooked correctly and tasted great. The patty melt was a horror show. The rye bread was burn and the grilled onions were overcooked. There was too much cream sauce in Alfredo. All the sides were ok except for the steamed veggies. The veggies were overcooked and became limpy. Table service was friendly. The waitress was overworked. She didn't have time to clear our salad plates or refill our water. There was no bus person to help. Prices were fine for such a remote eatery. I think we will check out the pizza shack or gas station hotdogs for our next meal. read more

This restaurant is only a few miles from us but we never stopped there since it's in a casino and we don't gamble. We have friends who recommended it. Even if you don't gamble, get a players card. It will get yo $5 off at the restaurant. My wife had the BLT and I had a hamburger. Both were better than we expected. Service was great. Restaurant was clean. We will be going back. I wouldn't recommend the slots. We got $15 in free play with players club. Lost it all in less than 10 minutes. read more

It was fine. I love country fried steak. Service was lovely. It's in a casino so there is some noise but it's a casino so you expect that

The food delicious. I had the taco salad while my husband had a burger. Both meals were excellent. Our waiter and service was too dollar!

On our way to Idaho on the 97, everyone in the car was hungry. We saw the Kla-Mo-Ya Casino with food specials on their sign so we decided to stop at their restaurant. This is a mixed review because the service is horrible but the food was great! First, we sat down, a waitress wiped our table down but left it wet, so my boyfriend went up and got napkins to dry it off. Then we sat there for over 8 min without anyone acknowledging we were there. We were just about to leave when the waitress finally came to greet us and take our order. Drinks were served, orders were placed. Food came out about normal time. Once the food was served we NEVER saw our waitress for the whole time we were eating! And we didn't receive any napkins. We had to ask another waitress passing by for napkins. It would have been nice to be checked on at least once as we all could've used a refill of our drinks and napkins. Now onto the food. The spinach and artichoke dip was wonderfully gooey with a perfect portion of spinach and artichoke pieces. Topped with extra parmesan cheese. Chips seemed fresh and warm. Perfect appetizer before your meal. When we got our food, everything was hot, freshly cooked. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and the ingredients seemed fresh. Tator tots and fries were hot, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The chicken fried steak was cooked just right, crispy on the outside but still tender that a fork could cut it. Maybe a little too much gravy but very good and went perfect with the chicken fried steak. The mashed potatoes tasted like homemade. The salad that came with the chicken fried steak seemed fresh and the blue cheese dressing actually had real blue cheese chucks. So if you are hungry and in the area, try this place out but you may want to do take out. read more

Far better than a funky little cafe in the back of a casino has any right being. And the service is excellent. Great value, too, and our whole group was really happy with the food. I won't drop the score for the surfeit of incorrect apostrophes on their menu, it didn't affect the quality of the dinner. :) read more

We arrived into the area late and it looked like only 2 places were open. With PtoP being the closest to the turnoff for our hotel, we decided to give them a try. The casino is very small which we did not decide to partake in. The restaurant is fairly small itself and minimally decorated. The staff is friendly and the food came out in no time. Flavors were ok, nothing "out of this world". Basic fare which one cannot complain about since it was late in the day, etc. read more

Had great food and service but for got to take the lettuce and tomato off my club sandwich

I passed through Chiloquin on a family road trip again in July 2014, and in light of my stellar experience at this restaurant in 2012 and 2013, I stopped again for dinner. It pains me to say that the quality of the dining experience has disintegrated here. During my past visits, I was impressed that the cigarette smoke from the gaming floor did not permeate the restaurant. The short walk from the casino entrance to the restaurant was always smoky, but once I was inside the restaurant, the air was much cleaner. Alas, that was not true on my most recent visit. The smell of cigarette smoke was so pungent in the restaurant that we decided to order our food to-go and eat in the car. The menu has also changed since my original visit in 2012. The eye-catching entrees featuring Pacific salmon and elk have disappeared, and the menu now features common pub fare like burgers, sandwiches, meatloaf, etc. The food is still surprisingly delicious, though. Our server accommodated our request to take our food to-go, but she was very unenthusiastic and made several mistakes on our orders. We checked the food and caught some of the mistakes before we left, but we discovered others once we were in the car. Considering the food quality and flavor, this is still a good place to eat, but the uninspired menu and apathetic service make it far less impressive than my first visit. The heavy smoke inside the restaurant is almost a deal-breaker for me. read more

If you are going here for a romantic dinner well I would say don't. If you just need to eat. Then this place will do. I had the cob salad and it was fine. The price was good and there is a lot of salad. My husband had the chicken sandwich and it was fine. It could have been a better experience if the waitress was at all nice.. we wanted to sit in a booth but she didn't want to clear off the dirty plates.. so we sat at a table with some uncomfortable chairs. Not fun when you have been driving for 6 + hours. Then we get our food and no silverware.. she was a real smart ass about that. She did bring us a fork and when I asked for a knife she said she would have to go wash one .. they ran out! They really need to get a friendly staff could have made our experience so much better! read more

It takes a lot for me to feel offended or feel the need to complain about a facility but my visit to the place was awful! I walked in and got automatic bad looks from all workers because I was with my SERVICE dog. My girls and I had been on the road for 5 hours and decided to stop and eat. They completely went out of there way to try and embarass us and say my dog wasn't a service dog because my reason for why I made him a service dog did not "qualify" and we could not eat there because of him. I found it completely offensive that my disability did not "qualify" to eat in this low caliber excuse of a restaurant. They treated us like criminals honestly. It was unprofessional and I do NOT recommend coming here if your looking for comfortable, clean, accepting environment. This place is the opposite read more

Onion rings, tater tots, and fries were BOMB! Honestly some of the best onion rings and tater tots I've ever had--not what I expected from a casino restaurant! The bread on my burger was a bit too big, but the quality of the ingredients and the way the meat was cooked was wonderful. The chicken strips were great as well! Beer was pretty good and the cocktail was watered down (what do you expect from a casino?). The service was very attentive and friendly! The food and service is way too good for how cheap it costs! I came here for dinner after realizing that it was the only after 9pm option in the area. It was easy to find and get to, being located right on the highway. Upon sitting down I was given a menu after about a 5 minute wait, and my order was taken 20 min later. About 15 minutes later, the food had arrived. It was the triple seven burger and country fried steak. To my disappointment, the fried steak was really a fried burger patty flattened paper thin. The burger arrived slightly under cooked, and without all of the toppings included on the menu, the most noticeable missing element was the bacon and bun. So instead of the burger coming on a bun, it came on two slices of bread. The french fries that came with both steak and burger were good, but heavily over salted. The only thing that came out of the kitchen that was not disappointing was the ketchup. From the other reviewers, it seems like this place has once had some good food, I am sad to say that this was not my experience. I would not recommend stoping here to eat. read more

My husband and I are staying in Chiloquin (while visiting Crater Lake) and this restaurant was one of four choices for dinner. The menu featured home style food like meatloaf or pot roast with mashed potatoes and gravy. There were few, if any, healthy choices on the menu and nothing that didn't include meat, dairy or both. My husband didn't mind at all, but the menu was limiting for my preferences. Coming from a big city with hundreds of choices, I realize I'm a bit spoiled. I ended up with a hamburger and fries. I thought my meal, along with my husbands meatloaf (manufactured patties, not slices from a loaf) reminded me a lot of dorm food in college. On the plus side, the service was really good and the prices were cheap. A microbrew for $3 and the meals were only $10-12. The cheap prices made up for the smelly cigarette smoke! I read other reviews that mentioned organic choices and interesting entrees like elk and salmon. Perhaps they've changed their menu. read more
