Chimichangas
Angela H.

We didn't expect much from a strip mall restaurant. We were pleasantly impressed when we walked in to find a chic space. The staff were so friendly and attentive. Our chips and salsa and drinks were topped up frequently. The food was delicious. The steaks were seasoned to perfection and cooked to a perfect medium. The beef chimichangas were perfect.

So disappointed coming here for dinner tonight while driving through Klamath. The restaurant had a big group who was having their holiday party at the dining area. We waited for a long time to get our food which was mediocre. Although there was a server who checked if we needed more drinks, it took over 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Some patrons left without even getting their food. Not sure if I'll risk coming back here if I am in this neck of the woods.

This ceviche was so fresh, tasty, huge and beautiful too!

Don't miss the opportunity to eat here! The service is amazing. The food is fresh and delicious with ample portions - great menu! The music and ambiance is comforting and casual. You'll love this place. Family friendly, with a sweet touch of romance (or maybe it's the Cadillac margarita!).

The small restaurant was clean and inviting. Our servers were attentive and gave wonderful opinions. The food was hot and served quickly with great presentation. I would come again.

Camerones El Rodeo

Loved having dinner here. I had the Camerones El Rodeo. This is a photo-worthy dish. Uniquely presented and very delicious. The rest of our party ordered more traditional dishes. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered.

Steak fajitas were delicious

Great food, great service!…read more Our server was personable, friendly and knowledgeable in regard to the menu! The small appetizer plate they served with our cocktails was a hit! My husband had the salmon and I ordered the steak! Both were cooked to perfection and the vegetables were tasty, also! We will definitely be back!

Deeply overrated by the look of the reviews…read more First impressions count. I was overlooked by the staff as I watched other wait staff interact with guests who were sat after me. For the price points they ask for their entrees ($26-$39 and up) they need to step it up. I finally received the attention of my waiter (the room was not very busy) and he answered my questions about preparation of several main entrees. However his description of the Halibut ($36) was "coated in breadcrumbs with a dill garlic sauce." Which appealed to me so I ordered it. When the dish arrived I immediately noticed the fish was pale and bare of any breadcrumbs and had an odd pale whipped topping; not a sauce. My first bite was curious. The fish had almost no heat; as if it had been either sitting in the window or just warmed in a microwave (?). It certainly wasn't cooked and brought out to me in any thoughtful way. The curious 3-dimensional "sauce" was almost cold. The sides were passable: the generous portion of carrots were not overcooked but they were greasy, and the baked potato (also strangely greasy) was at least letting off steam. I do hate to be "that guy" but for a $36 price point I had to be honest when the young waiter asked how my dish was. I told him it was "barely warm." He seemed sincerely concerned and asked me what I wanted to do. When confronted with a similar situation (as a former waiter) I personally would have taken it into hand and had the dish replaced (and comped SOMETHING, like my $14 martini or wine or brought a comp desert: but this is more a failing of management, if the waiter even mentioned the issue to them). So I was left to direct him to have the chef "follow his ethics and decide." The dish was returned in about 5 minutes with the fish just barely reheated in a mysterious fashion (A microwave? It didn't feel like it was reheated in a pan) and the whipped "sauce" was renewed but still just tepid, and not at all a "sauce." The waiter magnanimously presented me with the fact that he gave me a new baked potato as the other was already cut up, etc. As if this was going to salvage the meal. It didn't. All just cold comfort for an expensive, slightly greasy dish. The fish was generally flavorful but somber. My mind had to do back-bends justifying the cost but ending up disappointed with the whole experience at Roosters Steal and Chops. All in all, perhaps I should've had a steak or a chop? At the end, the waiter dropped the check and hurried away, without mention or apology. Perhaps he was just not equipped to deal with the expensive but mediocre fare he has to serve.

I mean gnocchi is a pretty simple dish, but was nicely elevated in flavors and presentation w the pesto, balsamic and arugula combining w those pillows . Just heaven. The salmon on saffron (?) rice with a sea of some vegetable based green sauce was really a joy to eat. I as a vegetarian rarely eat my husbands fish dishes, but in the end I probably ate half. Thank goodness he loved the gnocchi too. Wed come right back if we didn't live 8 hours away. GREAT Unhurried service too. Date night stuff.

Spectacular meal at the Basin Martini Bar during our stop in Klamath Falls at the end of August…read more The restaurant is decorated in an industrial modern style but with nifty pendant lights that I had to photograph. We came in during happy hour, then only ordered one thing that was discounted. From their website, it was difficult to ascertain the happy hour offerings, so I have included a photo of the happy hour menu. Greeted with a friendly yell when we entered, we chose seats at the bar in comfy padded stools. Bartender owner spent a lot of time fawning over the regular customers next to us at the bar, making special preview drinks of next months' offerings. We didn't get similar treatment from the inexperienced gal who served us. In fact she was unable to answer my most basic questions without asking for help. But don't let this detract from the quality preparations coming out of the kitchen. They are WOW! I started with the French 75, a champagne cocktail. It was light and fresh but ordinary, as expected. Husband ordered the Backyard Margarita which although $12 was strong and tasty with a nice tajin rimmer. Husband ordered the Cajun tots as an appetizer, while I went with the charred peach salad. For our entrees he ordered the steamed muscles spicy, and I had the scallops with risotto. The tots were crunchy and spicy, accompanied by ranch. The charred beach salad was a masterpiece of creamy burrata, grilled fruit, pecans and arugula. More please!!! A generous portion of mussels in an orange broth came with toast points. Slurping up the sauce with the mussels shells is always fun. The Seared Scallops & Corn Risotto was a beautiful presentation of five plump seared scallops over risotto garnished with balsamic glaze. The scallops were fabulous with a perfect sear. But the risotto didn't taste of corn or Parmesan, it was just one dimensional salty and a bit gummy. This dish really needs a green vegetable to break up the risotto, perhaps some asparagus? Finally, the bizarre horseradish cream blobs on the plate were tasted then ignored. It had an off-putting sour flavor which was completely out of place with this dish. Try again, this fluff was a fail. Our sweet but inexperienced server handled our check and we wandered off along Main Street to walk off our meal. It wasn't cheap, but it was definitely one of our nicer meals during a month in Oregon.

Update 7/5/26: I was back in KFalls visiting family and we all went out to Girasol's for dinner…read more Once again, great service (thank you Jennifer) and the food was fresh and flavorful. I had forgotten how big and tasty their margaritas (5/5) were. I'm glad I ordered one. I ordered the carne asada (4/5) and my wife got the enchiladas verde (4/5). Their refried beans (5/5) and rice (4/5) that accompanied both our dishes were delicious. Portion sizes are very large so bring your appetite. While I've only been here twice, both experiences were consistent...good food, good margaritas, and great service. This would be my 'go to' Mexican food restaurant if I lived here.

The fajitas were of decent quantity. We actually had left overs for the next day dinner. Complimentary chips, salsa, and bean dip. Happy hour, but only 25¢ off of bottled beer?!?! No thanks; I am going to the Garage Tap room next! See my other review. Ambiance - Good size location. Main dining and bar area. Cool decor, see pictures. Clean restrooms. Service - 5 stars, from the door greeter to the waiters. They checked on us often. Price - $40 + generous tip. Overpriced for what we got. Well if it was NOT over-salted, then it would have been reasonable. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success.
