Omar's ? More like oh No's. They've gone completely down hill. Their shrimp cocktail used to be FIERCE. Now it's like 4 pieces of sad shrimp with ketchup. Sad caesar salad, dressing tastes like lemon water? Fine dining? Where? The waitress was also not letting us change tables in a fully empty restaurant besides two other people? The food basically tastes like dog water and you're leaving with an empty wallet. Just another over rated Ashland restaurant way over priced for no reason.

The dessert was so good? We forgot to take a picture of it first.

Been coming to Ashland for the Shakespeare Festival since 1991, and we'd never been here before. Alas, we now must wonder why! It was delicious! We tried all the marked favorites on the menu, and everything tasted wonderful: the highlights were the two chowders, the perfectly prepared NY steaks, and the Coupe Denmark dessert. The service was excellent even if some of the other customers were a bit uncouth (please don't play your phone videos on high volume in public, people!). The ambience was comfortable and relaxing, although the table was a bit cramped. Nonetheless, everything was very enjoyable. We will be back.

Chateau Briand 36 should absolutely be on your list of places to visit while in town. But if I had one evening to spend in Ashland for dinner I would likely choose another restaurant. We were seated rather quickly, told that the restaurant was coming down from a very big dinner rush (when eating in Ashland please be mindful of show times and expect everyone else will be eating before heading to the theater as well). So, we arrived after a rush with a reservation at 7:30. We ordered their Cesar salad to start. 10/10. Simple, crisp, balanced... no notes Here's where things started to dwindle. The restaurant is romantic and intimate too a fault, its lights are dim, the jazz music is at a volume designed for sleepiness... and our main courses took over an hour to come out to us!! (We were so tired I almost asked for a pillow and a blanket... jokes aside...)Which came with no "hey sorry the kitchen is running behind" we actually watched a couple come in, sit down, eat, pay, and leave, all while we were waiting for our main course. All that being said, the food was great. We ordered their steak with a side of mushrooms, and chicken with brussel sprouts. Our server was kind, she even brought us out some cookies to finish our meal off with. The steak was cooked perfectly, everything was well seasoned and made with love... dare is say it was worth the very long wait.

The service is good, we've been there with our family and with a large group, and they have always been very patient and friendly. Alchemy is in my top 3 favorite places for a dressy dinner when we are visiting Ashland. The only slightly negative thing I have to say is that we were there celebrating a birthday once and at the end of the meal our server brought out a candle on a small, flat ceramic dish. The birthday girl's comment was, "You just spent $300 on dinner and all they brought me for my birthday was a candle?" It seemed a little chintzy since most places will give you an actual dessert, not just a candle, but at least they brought a candle. Other than that tiny little thing, we still love to eat here and will be back when visiting in the future.

The latter changes seasonally--in our case it was a dashi broth with a variety of local mushrooms and vegetables. Both dishes were good, with my steak cooked perfectly and the mashed potatoes amazingly creamy without tasting too buttery; the dashi broth was delicious as well. We also split the steak tartare, the house bread, and the chips & dip (seasonal special) as appetizers. With the exception of the chips & dip, the appetizers were good but nothing outstanding. The chips & dip, however, were REALLY GOOD! I did not know you could elevate potato chips like that, but their house-made chips are delicious and I would highly recommend trying them. Both my fiancé and I were not a huge fan of the sauce (just a little too creamy, it's really smooth though so if you like creamy sauces you'll probably enjoy it!), but just eating the plain chips was amazing. They even brought us a second serving of chips for free since we hadn't used all of the dip! We also ordered a pear tart for dessert which I would also recommend getting! Delicious crust and good pear flavor.

In fact, we sent it back because it wasn't good. Only to find that they left it on our bill actually expected us to pay for rotten crab after sending it back to the kitchen. While we sent a drink back that was wrong. The drink was more of a personal preference. It was too sweet and so that was on the bill. I guess that could be understandable to charge us for. But to charge us for rotten crab that you sent to our table and not even come out and apologize for it try to give us to pay for it was absolutely disgusting. If you walk down to the bathroom and you see how filthy the floor is, you can only imagine what the kitchen is like. I would not recommend this place to anyone nor will we ever go back.

We went in at dinner time on a Thursday. We were seated right away without a reservation, but you can make one online. I could see them being busy on a weekend or a busier part of the season. There are tables for groups from 2-6. They also had some pinball and other games in the back (as well as some board games in a side room). We didn't find out the ins and outs of the games, but it makes it feel like a place you are welcome to stay at for a while. They had a great kids menu. Our girls both wanted pizza and the observant server recommended they share a pizza because they are not small. It was accurate and kept us from having a whole leftover pizza, even though the prices were reasonable and it would have been a good value. The two adults shared the spicy cauliflower from the appetizer menu and the quesacarnitas tacos. Both were seasoned well, very flavorful, and all around delicious. The cauliflower wasn't super spicy, but it was super tasty so we weren't mad. The place is a brewery but we had cocktails. My husband said it was the best margarita he had on our trip and tasted like it was made with quality ingredients. My Paloma was also good! Overall, we were super pleased with our visit. Gluten free items are marked clearly and there is also a gluten free bun and pizza crust to choose from. Highly recommend before or after a play or a day of shopping in the Main Street area of Ashland.

She…read morereads a lot and she sometimes gets the audio books and says "YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO THIS" So the legends of thezmarr by helen scheuerer is a fun story I got hooked on and my wife loved that we can talk about it so it makes it that much more fun. There is a tavern called "the laughing fox" so I told My wife we need to go here or Kip would be anger (Kip being the character that loves going to that tavern) she did not get it at first but when I did the hint hint wink wink she understood me. Needless to say ... The Noble Fox not only filled the fun of the book they also came through with how Delicious and amazing of a place it is. I was sad they did not sell their cups with the Fox on them or hats... I would have been all over it... lol Now the review The Noble Fox is an amazing resource that matches the vibes and of the clever and tempting Fox. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They allow dogs on the patio and the views and comfortable nature is amazing. We were hosted by Aarron and he was amazing, made sure we had what we needed and was considerate to every question. He was great for suggestions and overall hosting is such an important characteristic so we appreciate you . The food... I'll be honest we planned on just having. A drink and some fries... but the menu was just too intriguing especially to a couple that loves to cook. Soooo my wife got the harvest salad and I got the fish and chips. The fries were amazing... they were seasoned and cooked to perfection. We could not stop eating them. The harvest salad my wife enjoyed, we enjoy good salads and the berry and chopped seemed like something we have had before so the Harv had some unique takes with the dressing and fresh toppings. She enjoyed it but said it would be more amazing paired with salmon. Which is unfortunate because she was just recently deemed allergic to it. The fish and chips... just get it.. don't question it just get it... most fish and chips just focus on the lemon, salt or tartar to give the fish flavor... nope... the noble Fox understands the fish and batter need to be pre seasoned then seasoned after . The batter needs seasoning and I just need to say that fish was not going to survive my plate. If there was a second one I don't think it would survive the place. Arron also read my mind. Their tartar sauce was delicious...but he opted for malt vinegar and that was the end of it all. Overall the Noble Fox will be a destination stop for us every time we come down this way. It's an amazing little spot and there is a lot on the menus that brings fun and unique flavors in. They have great service , an arcade room , a private game table room and a welcoming environment. Also if you read the books ... you have to go ... what would Kip do?
