We originally planned to stop by for lunch or dinner if we were too lazy to cook while camping. After hearing the Crater Lake Trolley tour guides rave about this place, we knew we had to stop by for at least a slice of pie. We ordered a slice of the Very Berry pie and the Boysenberry pie. I was a little disappointed that they no longer make the huckleberry pie since several people recommended it, but the slices we did order were both delicious. I preferred the Very Berry because it had a nice balance of sweetness with a hint of tartness. The Boysenberry pie was also good, but it leaned a little sweeter than I usually like. If you're in the area, this is definitely a must stop for pie. When both the locals and the tour guides recommend a place, you know it's worth checking out. read more

Great pie, expect a long wait. The service leaves something to be desired. I went in to get our party of 4 on the waitlist, asked a server if that could be accomplished and she disappeared for 10 minutes. I flagged her down and asked again and had to write our name down on the clipboard myself. The wait was about 20 minutes at 1PM, and there was a continual stream of customers and people waiting all the time we were lunching. The menu is small but has some good stuff on it. I ordered the fish & chips, which was pretty good, though the breading was a bit heavy for my taste. The fries were excellent. The the boysenberry pie arrived (see photo). Ahhh, desert nirvana. My companions had not tasted boysenberry before, as none were from Oregon. They judged it heavenly. Nice place to stop, but be prepared for a wait. read more

Got seated quickly , service was expedient -- took our order and then basically disappeared once the food arrived. We ate dinner and breakfast here. Soup was good , pot pie was good, burger was good. Bacon was flaccid. Breakfast was blah. Biscuits had gallon of gravy , eggs overcooked. Not the worst but not worth driving to unless you want breakfast pie. Pie was good , as expected by the reviews. Prices for a whole pie were astronomical ! read more

I heard that Beckie's had the best pies in the region and I couldn't wait to try the marionberry flavor. We ordered a whole pie of the Very berry flavor which came with raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, and marionberries. The crust was a little thin, but the filling was so delicious and there was so much of it. A strong burst of berry flavor and there were a lot of berries in the filling itself adding a nice texture. read more

When it's the only option in town, it's wonderful when it's as nice as Beckie's. After busy days of travel and exploring, we didn't feel like cooking at our campsite so we hit Beckie's two nights in a row. The food is great, the service was excellent even though we were showing up near closing time, and as I recall the playlist was fire, too. I got the giant burger the second night and it was delicious. Do yourself a favor and grab some pie to go! read more

We were camping not to far from here. I knew it was going to be good, but it was over my expectations. I got the boysenberry à la mode. Yummy, yummy, yummy. Wish I had more. Our server was the nicest. The place is perfect . So cute. I love it. Go across the street and take a picture on the giant chair. Why not : ) read more

Service was good. Unfortunately they don't have pies regularly any more as they can't find a baker. It's a long drive out there to be met with a sign that says they are out of pie. Server was friendly and apologetic. And the ice cream place next door also decided to close today. Meal was ok. Just nothing special. read more

Beckie's is basically a right of passage on the way to Crater lake! We stopped in for a slice of pie on the way home from our day of adventurers. They have tons of flavors that you can buy either by the slice or a whole pie. We ordered a slice of very berry and chocolate peanut butter to go and ate them on the picnic tables outside. They were both divine. The chocolate peanut butter was light and fluffy (not as rich as I expected, in a good way. It was perfect). The very berry was the perfect sweetness and mix of berries. $9 for a slice, but it was part of the experience. We didn't eat any of the food, but the onion rings and fries looked and smelled amazing. For 2:30 pm on a Sunday, they were surprisingly busy! Would definitely recommend the pit stop. read more

Service was good, they were nice and attentive, no problems in that regard. The issue was the food was very mediocre, there was literally a sysco truck unloading the food into the restaurant while we ate. Pretty much sums up the quality you can expect from the food. read more

Highly recommended by someone who grew up in this area. "You must go there on your way to Crater for their pie". So I did. So sad to see the sign on the door that said, "No pie, very sorry". I decided to have lunch there anyway because it was lunch time. I ordered a fabulous Woodchuck burger with side salad. It came just the way I ordered. I probably would have ordered a different side than salad if I knew the burger was so thick due to all of the lettuce. Price was reasonable especially for this area. Very good service too. Beckie's Café in Prospect, Oregon is the kind of place that feels special the moment you walk in. Nestled along Highway 62 near the beautiful Rogue River and on the way to Crater Lake, it has that classic, cozy lodge atmosphere that perfectly matches its scenic surroundings. The warmth of the wooden interior, the welcoming smiles, and the comforting aroma of homemade food instantly make you feel at ease. The menu is packed with hearty, satisfying options that truly hit the spot. Breakfast is outstanding -- fluffy pancakes, perfectly cooked eggs, crispy hash browns, and generous portions that fuel you for a full day of exploring. Their country-style dishes are rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Lunch and dinner are just as impressive, with juicy burgers, comforting homestyle plates, and fresh, well-prepared ingredients in every bite. Of course, the highlight -- and what Beckie's Café is legendary for -- is the pie. The homemade pies are absolutely unforgettable. Flaky, buttery crust paired with perfectly sweet, fruit-filled centers make each slice taste like it came straight from grandma's kitchen. Whether it's a classic apple or a seasonal berry variety, it's worth saving room for dessert. The service is just as memorable as the food. The staff are genuinely friendly, attentive, and create a welcoming environment that makes you want to linger a little longer over coffee. It's clear this café has built its reputation over decades by doing things the right way -- quality food, warm hospitality, and consistency. If you're passing through Prospect or heading toward Crater Lake, Beckie's Café is a must-stop destination. It's more than just a meal -- it's an experience you'll look forward to repeating. Five stars, without hesitation. read more

I went to Beckies years ago and it was so good. It was so mediocre on so many accounts this time it just made me sad. We had breakfast and it tasted like everything was out of a box. The biscuits and gravy consisted of a deep dish plate with 2 biscuits swimming in a lake of gravy that tasted like flour and water. The creamers were filled with a skim milk type consistency. Even the eggs were watery. I do hear the pies are still good. They were out of pie that day so we couldn't try any. read more

Our family stopped in to eat at this little cafe on our road trip and we were pleasantly surprised. While our server was just okay our food was absolutely amazing! The tomato basil soup was the best tomato soup I've ever had. We also had their boysenberry pie and vanilla ice cream which was delicious. My sister got the chicken pot pie which she thoroughly enjoyed and my mom said her split pea soup was amazing! I def would recommend stopping here for a quick bite! read more

After a visit to Crater Lake, we planned to dine at the Prospect Cafe, passed the cute Beckie's sign, and flipped a U-ie. Meatloaf was good, the veggies, mashed potatoes and gravy even better. The warm Pecan Pie with vanilla ice cream put the exclamation point on a great meal. Prices are tourist rate as they're located across from a lodge and near Crater Lake. The server was awesome, so pleasant. read more

I had read about this magical place in the "That Oregon Life" newsletter and hyped it up on a recent Girl Scout trip to Crater Lake. The girls had saved their snack money to try some pie. When we came in the hostess was very friendly and accommodating of our group, despite a number of tables being occupied. We arrived mid afternoon and while they didn't have all the pies on the menu available we were able to try a variety of fruit and cream pies. As far as the pies go they weren't homemade quality and whatever cream they use it's not dairy (I'm would know as I am sensitive to dairy) but it is an enchanting spot in the middle of the woods so I 100% make time to stop again or look into staying in the adjacent cabins. read more

AMAZING local diner on our road trip to Bend. We happened to hit Beckie's for breakfast and all we were looking for were two eggs and some home fries. We were completely thrilled to get our eggs, a western cheddar omelet and very berry pie. The sausages with the side of eggs were local patties that tasted amazing. The ham in my omelet was sooo good, it was easily the best omelet western omelet I had ever eaten in my lifetime of visiting diners in NJ. We haven't tried the pie yet, but it looks dope, and hopefully our family in Bend will enjoy it for dessert tonight. Their portions are huge, so we had left overs for the car ride up to Crater Lake! read more

I have been going to Beckie's since I was a young child. So many fond memories. I'd always get the patty melt and a slice of berry pie.

I finally stopped here after years of driving past it. I had the fire on the mountain burger and split it. They actually cut it in half and brought it out on separate plates. That was unexpected. We each had a piece of pie, I had the boysenberry and the other was blackberry. Both were great, but the blackberry was slightly better. I normally don't like pie, but this one was great! Full of berries and it had a great crust. I'd say I would definitely stop by here next time I drive by. read more

Ooooo baby I came here with my two buddies and I was wearing some new clothes and I look kinda snazzy in my new clothes and so do my buddies oh yeah kinda feeling like superstars on a red carpet oh yeah especially with some good pie in my belly unstoppable. The waitress is nice and she recommended the sweet and tangy chicken sandwich so I did that and I got no regrets I only got love and a little sway cmon. Went for the pie and it was super super yummy had to take some home for breakfast in the morning too. I got coconut crème which is one of my favorites it was big (hint I'm taking it home for breakfast because I couldn't finish it). My buddy got boysenberry and I think that one was the best especially with the ice cream. The other buddy was confused why it said boy in the name and I am still confused why he is confused (hmm I'm confused). The place was small and the service was slow but there were no other options nearby. The food was good and the pie was famous.

best peach pies unfortunately my last experience wasn't great. the waiter constantly made weird remarks about prices like he was profiling me, like I couldn't afford the food. and multiple times he made weird comments like that's a "30$ plate" or "you paying for just your meal?" it came off rude like I was visibly poor to him. just wasn't a friendly experience just weird. read more

We stayed nearby and this was really the only restaurant in the area. The meal was fine, but with a lot of almost comedic problems. They were out of blue cheese crumbles so a cobb salad couldnt be made. Apparently only one deep fryer was functioning, so our appetizers came out slowly and one at a time. The patty melt and ham sandwich came out burnt and had to be redone. The sourdough club came out on white bread. They brought us three burgers when we only ordered two. We got chicken wings and there was clearly something in there that was not a chicken wing, and our buffalo sauce never came. Our onion rings had something in it that was certainly not an onion. Overall, the food was acceptable. We got some pie to go, with ice cream packed separately to make it a la mode later. The pie was also just acceptable. I would not get it again. Go there knowing patience is required. read more

1) Do not order the Hunter's Burger, the sandwich is so loaded down with bacon, fried egg, special sauce, etc., that you cannot taste any difference in the meat quality, so a total waste of the $10 extra I paid. 2) The kitchen was SLOOOOOOOW. It took 45 minutes from ordering to receiving my burger and fries. 3) The burger was raw and I had to send it back. The fries which were hot and tasty when I received the raw burger but were cold and boring when I got my recooked burger back. 4) The waitress did not offer to leave the fries for me to eat while I waited for the burger to be recooked, nor did she give me fresh fries when I finally got my burger. read more

We went here for breakfast (and later for pie) when we stayed in Prospect! It is a must do! The cinnamon rolls are amazing! We got the pancakes, breakfast sandwich with ham, biscuits and gravy, and cinnamon roll. I wish we had gone for lunch or dinner because when we went back later in the afternoon for pie everyone's meals looked incredible! Was dying to try the chicken pot pie, burgers, and onion rings! But would recommend everything we had for breakfast! The apple pie was also so yummy!! Our waitress was a doll too! read more

This place was booooooomb. My party and I stopped by after a full day at Crater Lake. I had been road tripping in the area for a few days, and Beckie's was the first place that offered *vegetarian* (Beyond) burgers so I knew I had to try one. It was really good. I got the Fire on the Mountain and it hit all the right notes. The one area of improvement would be that the fire could have been more fire-y. I ended up adding more hot sauce to get a bit more of a kick. Fries were on point too. From what it's worth, the rest of my party enjoyed their respective meals as well (chicken wings, buffalo wing salad, and the soup of the day which was a hamburger/vegetable soup). I also tried the peach and very berry pies as well. Both were pretty good! I'm not a big pie person, so my enthusiasm is a bit muted, but since these were recommended by our server (and the peach was in season) I wanted to try it out. There's a really big selection of pies, so if you're a pie lover definitely lots to choose from. read more

I had read about the legendary cinnamon rolls at Beckie's so we made sure to stop for breakfast on a cold rainy day. Hubby had the Beckie's breakfast (eggs, toast, bacon, hash browns) which was huge and delicious. He also had hot chocolate with whipped cream. I accepted the challenge of tackling likely the biggest cinnamon roll I've ever seen. I made it through about three quarters of it before giving up! The cream cheese frosting was sublime and the roll itself was flakier rather than denser which made it easier to eat. The atmosphere was homey and the service was prompt and friendly. We also got slices of blueberry pie to go and it was excellent- light flaky crust and plenty of blueberries! Glad we stopped even if we did fall into a "food coma" later! read more

We stayed at Union Creek campground and didn't realize we brought the wrong pan and couldn't cook so we were super happy Beckie's was so close. My husband got the veggie sandwich and I got the chicken strips/tenders with fries. The amount of chicken was way more than I expected!! When I first picked one up with my fork I was surprised how skinny it was. I was expecting it to be dry and not very good but it to my surprise it was super juicy and so good!! I can't say much on the fries cause I was more focused on eating the chicken. The different sauces were also yummy. I liked the honey mustard most. We didn't save room for pie, but that didn't stop us! lol (the entire time we were eating our dinner we kept heading everyone else order pie) we chose the pecan to share. It once again wasn't very appealing visually but hot damn did we fight over every single bite (somehow our marriage survived. Don't worry). Pricing was about expected and staff was friendly. read more

Small historic cafe/diner in Union Creek, OR, just up the road from Prospect. They have pretty short hours during the week (11-6) so be sure to arrive by 5:30 if you want dinner.
