We asked around town & the owner is dealing with some serious health issues causing unexpected closures. Excellent breakfast cafe! The prices are amazing, and the food is delicious. I tried the French toast and bacon. The French toast was cooked to perfection. It also had some vanilla flavor. The breakfast sandwich had bacon, egg, and cheese. It was delightful. Everything was cooked to perfection. That bacon was also very tasty. I had a cup of coffee, and the waitress made sure my coffee stayed full. This is a cute little cafe that you do not want to miss! read more

The perfect lunch spot after hiking at Crater Lake! Excellent food in a very cute small town cafe. The service was excellent and felt like I was right at home. I didn't even get a picture of my partner's food because he ate his BLT so fast. I got the grilled cheese and a n ice cream sundae after. Our whole meal was $17. read more

Local here in Chiloquin and this little spot is a hub for many folks. Good simple food made by good people. Hash browns with sausage gravy, egg on top is perfect every time. For anyone dropping in from larger cities, welcome! Reminder,, this town has just over 700 people. There is no hustle or bustle. There isn't even a stop light! Slow down a bit, come by and take a seat. Enjoy some good food, good people and beautiful scenery. read more

This little hole in the wall cafe in Chiloquin was such a pleasant surprise! I got a BLT, which I tend to get because it's hard to mess up. It was delicious, but the potato salad...I haven't been able to stop thinking about it, and it's been weeks! It's homemade, and so delicious. It's not sweet, and it's nice and creamy and chunky. I just want to order it by the tub full. The customer service was also top notch. You can tell this is a small town eatery, everyone who walked in the door was greeted as a friend. We got some great sandwiches, including outstanding BLT (as other reviews have mentioned), with the bacon cooked just right and on the spot. Also clearly beloved by, and loving to, the community this restaurant serves. A place where everybody knows everybody, and they are also friendly to folks just passing through. Good humored all around. Wonderful train town atmosphere. Especially if you're here for Train Mountain Museum, this is the place to grab breakfast or lunch. The ambience is old-timer hangout. My impression is lots locals support this business. I do not understand how in the world this business has a five star rating. Maybe they have an abundance of family and friends that wrote five star reviews. I ordered a green side salad and cream of mushroom soup. The salad was inedible. Wilted green lettuce, brown iceberg lettuce, slimy cucumbers were the main ingredients. I was able to eat the cherry tomatoes but that was about all. The soup wasn't creamy it was as thick as wallpaper paste. If you can't get something as simple as soup and salad right you should probably just close up shop. read more

We stopped here on our road trip because it got 5 stars and I can see why. The food was great and the service was even better. The server was attentive and had a sense of humor. I got the turkey avocado bacon melt on sourdough bread with beef and vegetable soup. Would recommend. read more

Man the breakfast here just blows everything out of the water compared with everything else available in Chiloquin. Don't think: just go with the full breakfast plate and a side of three French toast. How did she make the toast so soft and tasty? The owner definitely puts her heart and soul into the meals. All the items were extra delicious: perhaps she added margarine to them? In any case I had ordered to-go at 6:30 am and she whipped them up quite quickly. If you're staying in the area or need something before your crater lake trip (south entrance), this is definitely the best spot to get your grub on! read more

A great find in a small town! I had a BLT w/avocado and homemade potato and macaroni salad. Husband had the French Dip with potato bacon soup. Both plates were delicious because all of the ingredients were fresh. Great prices and service too. We will always stop by here when passing through or staying near Crater Lake. read more

We live in Chiloquin so this restaurant, which is next door, is very convenient. It's your typical small town restaurant with excellent home cooked meals. If you want to get to know the locals, there's a long table in the middle of the restaurant where anyone can sit. read more

Was coming home from a vacation at Lake of the Woods resort and was looking for breakfast spot so thankful for yelp , so I can find hidden little gems like this place never would've found it without yelp, if you want a homestyle breakfast this is what small-town America is all about ! wonderful friendly people, I had The Gravel Pit , it was awesome and the wife got the breakfast burrito which was ginormous. What a wonderful Cafe! Food was great and prices are so affordable! And the service...Amazing! I wish I could have gotten our servers name, she was tall and blonde and so kind! We were just passing through on our way to Idaho and happy we found this little gem. My husband had the full breakfast and my daughters and I all had the pancakes (they are huge!). We look forward to stopping by again on our drive back home. read more

We (family of 5 with two teens) were on our way back from Crater Lake and found this hidden gem. The five star rating is FOR REAL. The food is exactly what you're looking for in a lovely little small town cafe: soup of the day WAS AMAZING (homemade hearty hamburger), the turkey avocado bacon (tab) was AMAZING, and the bacon cheeseburger was a homemade patty with a grip of bacon. We stopped in for breakfast and loved it! We had the pancakes, gravy & biscuits, eggs, bacon, and sausage. It was all delicious! As there isn't much in town, we decided to stop back in for lunch and had cheeseburgers and the veggie soup. Definitely didn't regret it! Was absolutely amazing! Our second visit! The first was for breakfast last year, and my daughter and I split a gravel pit, an enormous combination of every good thing about breakfast! All the elements were well made, and the combination seemed to be intentional and original. We also had an order of biscuits and sausage gravy that was equally wonderful... Real gravy (not too starchy), and a real, giant biscuit. The second visit, we brought a group for lunch, and there were seven of us, so they put us in the back. It was fine. There are all kinds of train memorabilia everywhere, and it with a trainstop right in Chiloquin, it made a lot of sense. The service was really great, very friendly and "local," and the patrons seemed to know exactly what kind of place this would be. We had a variety: burgers (thick and can be ordered medium rare, although mine was more medium), home made chili mac soup, BlTs and club sandwiches, all the things that make a local diner very special! This, plus a visit to Collier, is an ideal long weekend! read more

We were passing through and saw that all the reviews were old. We figured it was due to COVID-19, so when we saw they were open we took a chance! WOW!! You see my rating. The place was pretty run down and you could tell the town kept the place open...NOT! The FOOD was great! We had breakfast and it was exceptional. This place is super convenient just off the main highway. It's close to the hospital and OIT. The bathrooms are clean and parking is easy. I really love the fruit bowls and I usually upgrade to get peanut butter and chocolate chips on top. The pastries are always excellent, but they tend to sell out very quickly so plan on getting there early if you want to try one. They do have a few taps and some wine that they serve if you're up for that type of experience. Overall, a very nice stop in a small town and its cozy atmosphere makes it one not to miss. Come for the coffee and stay for the good cheer.

We stumbled upon it thanks to Yelp (thank you, reviewers!), and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with board games available if you feel like taking a break and staying a while. It's the kind of place that instantly makes you feel welcome. We ordered a couple of sandwiches and were blown away by how fresh everything was. The bread was soft and flavorful, the meat perfectly seasoned, and I loved that they used buttery lettuce instead of the usual sad iceberg--such a small touch, but it made the sandwich feel that much more thoughtful and healthy. Highly recommend stopping here if you're passing through. Whether you're in the mood for a great coffee, a filling bite, or just a relaxing break, this place checks all the boxes. Grateful we found it!
