Hand cut fries, perfect bacon/cheese combo, fry sauce, soft brioche bun and I asked them to grill my onions.

Exceptional! We had juicy cheeseburgers, hand-cut fries with house fry sauce, HAND-DIPPED all beef corn dogs, and finished with a real banana split. Super nostalgic feel, staff was hustling and orders were coming out of the kitchen fast (though it was packed and nobody seemed to mind waiting about for orders), several covered outdoor picnic tables provided plenty of seating. If the little parking in front is full the owner said you can park in front of the little old-west style wooden building next door. Btw the owner and staff are so nice and welcoming!

When trying to find something tasty, fresh, affordable and fast in Chiloquin - go here! We had their burgers and their special chicken sandwich. The staff were extremely nice and inviting! Tented seating available.

We both ordered their smothered chicken dinner; I highly recommend it! Everything was cooked perfectly. Even their side salad was excellent. On another visit we tried their Spaghetti & meatballs (excellent taste with good ratio of sauce to pasta) with the biggest piece of garlic bread we have ever seen; along with their BALT sandwich (also very tasty). We obviously enjoyed their menu - we went twice! There is currently some construction going on outside, so just be aware.

We did a Crater Lake National Park trip and stayed in the area for a couple of nights. This restaurant is located inside the casino and you can get gas too. The hours are generous and menu is vast (for being in a small town). Where we stayed had a microwave and fridge, so we decided to order larger portions of our meals to eat the leftovers the next night. We got the chicken parm and a full rack of ribs. The house salad was surprisingly good - crisp romaine (no sad iceberg here) with some tomatoes and cucumbers. The chicken parm was not good - large portions and the accompanying garlic bread was delish. The ribs were tender, sauced well, and was definitely the tastier entree out of the 2. It seems like the consensus for the reviews are to stick with the burgers, steak, and ribs. The service was pretty half-hearted, but to be expected since they seem like they are perpetually understaffed. Overall, prices are reasonable for being the only game in town and as long as you manage your expectations, it is a good enough place to get a hot meal. Parking: easy

The warmth of the wooden interior, the welcoming smiles, and the comforting aroma of homemade food instantly make you feel at ease. The menu is packed with hearty, satisfying options that truly hit the spot. Breakfast is outstanding -- fluffy pancakes, perfectly cooked eggs, crispy hash browns, and generous portions that fuel you for a full day of exploring. Their country-style dishes are rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Lunch and dinner are just as impressive, with juicy burgers, comforting homestyle plates, and fresh, well-prepared ingredients in every bite. Of course, the highlight -- and what Beckie's Café is legendary for -- is the pie. The homemade pies are absolutely unforgettable. Flaky, buttery crust paired with perfectly sweet, fruit-filled centers make each slice taste like it came straight from grandma's kitchen. Whether it's a classic apple or a seasonal berry variety, it's worth saving room for dessert. The service is just as memorable as the food. The staff are genuinely friendly, attentive, and create a welcoming environment that makes you want to linger a little longer over coffee. It's clear this café has built its reputation over decades by doing things the right way -- quality food, warm hospitality, and consistency. If you're passing through Prospect or heading toward Crater Lake, Beckie's Café is a must-stop destination. It's more than just a meal -- it's an experience you'll look forward to repeating. Five stars, without hesitation.

We chose the Bacon burger with fries to share. Both made hot and fresh, and though the bacon could have been a little crisper it was very tasty. The downside was the cost. I felt it was pretty steep for simple fair. Maybe it's the location and today's prices of ingredients? If you are passing through and want a quick bite this may be the place for you.

I agree with the other reviewers who say that the employees at Polar Bear aren't very friendly or prompt but what matters more to me is the food. They do fry the burgers to order but the employees don't work particularly hard or fast. It took around 15 minutes with only one order ahead of us. Polar Bear has an indoor dining area, but it was locked, so only tables outside were available. Unfortunately it was quite chilly that day and it was raining off and on, necessitating us to eat in the car. Bacon Burger w/ Cheese ($11.75) - A pretty tall, but not particularly hefty burger. The meat itself is cooked through, not salted that heavily, and gives off a good beefy taste. It's grilled on the flat top, but only just enough to cook through, so there isn't too much developed char to create more flavor complexity. There's plenty of veggies included - tomato, onion and pickles on top, and what seems to be hand shredded lettuce on the bottom. The bacon is chewy and gives a salty kick - definitely real bacon rather than the microwavable kind that some places cheap out on. The burger includes some mayo, but they are pretty light with it. The cheese and veggies give more than enough moisture to not need copious amounts of mayo. There is a major issue with this sandwich - the bottom bun almost completely sogs up, becoming mushy and loaded with liquid. I believe this may be due to improperly spun lettuce after washing, allowing all the wash water to saturate the bun. That's not very pleasant to eat, although the top bun seems to be decently toasted. (3/5) The burger comes with fries that are unevenly sprinkled with seasoning salt. Some pieces are especially salty, while others are only lightly salted. The fries are on the floppier end, fully cooked with tender interiors, but not particularly crisp in any capacity. (3/5) Polar Bear is okay. It does in a pinch but I'm sure there are better burgers and fries to find elsewhere. Bathrooms - None available in the restaurant, but there are public restrooms right next door.
