This is definitely a throwback restaurant. We hadn't seen a Broaster restaurant in years. We grew up with Broasted chicken, so we were excited to see if it was still good. Happily, it was wonderful. No one will ever accuse the Waffle Hut of not giving you enough food. We had the two piece dark meat and the two piece light meat meals. Each came with a cup of soup or salad, choice of potato or Mac salad, a biscuit as well as the two pieces of chicken. The chicken was every bit as good as I remember And was incredibly hot. We both had to wait a bit in order to even take a bite, but it was wonderfully juicy with a thin crispy crust. Absolutely terrific. And the Mac salad was very good as well. Our server was chatty, but maybe a little too chatty as we were waiting for her on occasion. But we definitely recommend this place and it's a shame that we don't have a Broasted chicken place near us. read more

Stopped for late breakfast before the drive back to Reno. Quick coffee and waters served with a few minutes to view the extensive menu. It was quite busy so we opted to sit in the lounge. This place is famous for "Liege" wsffles. A special kind of batter and shape I think. I ordered the "Go Beavs" in honor of the college mascot. What a tremendous breakfast. The flavor was excellent buttery mapley goodness! read more

The takeout process here felt a bit messy. After ordering, I thought I would receive a text message or some notification that my order was ready, but it never came, so I ended up stopping in myself after 30 minutes. When I checked in, my order was ready but they could not find it. They ended up cooking another one and then also found the original one, so I ended up with 2. However, they also didn't prepare my coffee, so it just overall felt a bit chaotic. The waffle itself was a lot sweeter than I expected, even without syrup. The portions are huge though, and I enjoyed the quantity of meat and veggies. They have plenty of other non-waffle breakfast options, which may be a better fit if you're not looking for something sweet. read more

The place was in the center of town and had ample parking. The service was friendly and fast. I enjoyed the pear and brie waffle. It was absolutely delicious and filling. I had ordered bacon. I went here with my partner and his sister this morning. We arrived around 11:30 and the place wasn't too busy but wasn't empty either. We got a table immediately and our waitress brought us waters and took our drink orders. She gave us plenty of time with the menu and took our orders when we were ready. I got the 4 sausage links with eggs and hash browns, my partner got the strawberry banana waffle, and his sister got the peared up waffle. I also got a hot chocolate, which was pretty thick and a little too rich to finish. The whipped cream it had was great, though. Our food came out fairly quickly and was good. My eggs were good and the toast was nice. The hash browns were a bit chewy and tasted a bit like they had been cooked on a cooktop that hadn't been cleaned in a while. The sausage was also super tough and I wasn't able to finish it. The waffles my partner and his sister got were good, they didn't have any complaints about them. Our server was very nice and checked on us frequently. The prices were pretty affordable and the table was clean. The restaurant as a whole looked pretty clean, on par with a standard diner. There is ample parking both on the street and in their private lot. If you're in town and looking for a place for breakfast, definitely stop in! I'd recommend the waffles over the egg dishes, I would probably get a waffle next time I visit. read more

Horrible food and service. Honestly was so surprised how this place has gotten such good ratings. We came in on Saturday morning, lots of tables open still so not packed, we stood there waiting a while to be seated. Once seated, the waitress never checked on us, never brought any water, until we had to flag other servers down to come take our order and still it was about 25 mins of waiting at the table before we could put in our order. Food itself didn't take too long. When we tried to pay at the counter, we also had such a hard time paying waiting for a while for them to figure out who our waitress was and which table it was? BTW the only time we saw our waitress was when she dropped off the food cause someone else had to take our order and she also never delivered the toasts that came with the order. Never once came to check on us on how the food was or if we need anything else. Not a single time came over to refill our water. My husband and I just decided to not bother anymore. And this place is apparently known for leige waffles and their chicken? I ordered liege waffles and chicken. I have had leige waffles before and even the prepackaged one from Costco does not taste this horrible. It tasted like I was eating partially raw/undercooked biscuit dough that was so dry, heavy and tasteless? Then the "honey" drizzle on top didn't taste like honey it was more of a crystallized sugar thick syrup? And the chicken tender was just generic - nothing special, taste like those frozen chicken tenders you can get anywhere and make at home. The bacon bits on top was just dried, burnt, inedible. My husband's dish was chicken fried steak omelette. It was better than mine but the chicken fried steak has this weird "old" smell once you bite into it. Nothing special. Honestly never had gone to an old breakfast house establishment with such long history that had this horrible food and horrible service. Staffs were friendly but just the most absolute horrible service in every single way. What a waste of time just waiting around for horrible food. read more

Came back again for the amazing waffles. I had the chicken and waffles which was everything I thought it would be and then some. The waffle was fluffy and the edges were crunchy paired with the crunchy chicken fingers and sweet sauce all toppled with chunks of bacon. So delicious! The portion was huge. My husband had the biscuits and gravy with a side of sausage which he devoured so ot must have been delicious. Service got better as the meal progressed. We were seated and brought water and coffee and then waited a good 15 minutes before taking our order. The restaurant has an Americana theme with license plates on the wall and is a nice spot for a quiet breskfast. read more

Waffle Hut! Great choice. Pros- - Immediate friendly greeting and let us know she'd be right with us. Sat us with menus. The hostess, Tess, needed to clean a table before seating us. Seated within 2 minutes with menus. Very friendly and apologized for the short 2 minute wait. - Drink order taken right away and coffee and water delivered within a minute or two. - Menu offered a generous selection. - Nice, clean interior. A bit dated but well maintained. The cute decor gave tribute to the military and the rest was very diner-like and nostalgic. I liked it and felt like a great hometown diner. - Food order taken as soon as the drinks were brought. Food was brought to the table in 5 minutes. - Great location, right in downtown Klamath Falls. - Tess checked on us numerous times and our coffee was always full. Cons- - None that I can think of. Other than the restaurant being a bit dated (but cleaned and well maintained), I can't complain about anything. What we ordered- Me- Liége Strawberry's and cream waffle. Of course I needed a waffle from the Waffle Hut. Liége waffle was different than any other I've tried. Dense, sweeter, crunchier and topped with the strawberries and fresh cream... it was AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS! Hubby- Sausage and eggs plate with scrambled eggs, country potatoes and English muffin. Sausage/English muffin/eggs= average. Country potatoes= very tasty and way above average! With onions and bell pepper. Yum! Portion: Plentiful and generous. 4 pieces of sausage, more potatoes than we could both eat. Price-Only a little over $25 for two meals and coffees. Win! Very good and tasty! Overall- Very nice visit. Would I return? You bet! read more

Ate there twice, I guess I'll never learn. Stoped there for a late lunch, server was great, very personable, now the food I had a hamburger on rye bread fry's and ice tea. The hamburger had been cooked too death, was as dry as Death Valley, bordered on inedible, the fry's on the other hand were among the best I've ever eaten. All in all my lunch was a bad experience. Val's chicken sandwich was mediocre, chicken was pounded until it was way bigger than the bun, and looked as if it had been thrown together. Not much taste. Oh well thought we'd try breakfast the next day, burned waffle, uncooked pancake's, need I say more, worst breakfast on the planet. The whole place needs a reboot, great service however. read more

Tessa our waitress was friendly and efficient. The breakfast burrito was amazing! One of the best I've ever had and I am a bit of a connoisseur. We enjoyed everything we ordered and would definitely come back here again! read more

Good attentive service, great food, and good portions! The place is slightly run down so the ambiance is off but don't judge a book by its cover. we were on our way home from Lake Tahoe and spent the night in Klamath Falls. Waffle Hut is right next door to the Cerulean Hotel, so we thought it would be practical to grab breakfast here on our way out in the morning. plus, it's hard to pass up a breakfast place with so many raving reviews and tasty looking pictures. i'm sad to report that my experience did not live up to the hype. from the moment we walked in, something seemed a little off. once we were seated, we waited more than 10 minutes for someone to offer us water and coffee. our table was passed up by employees 3 different times as they checked up on other guests, but didn't even bring us water. after about 15 minutes, we agreed to get breakfast elsewhere and were seconds away from standing to leave when a waitress in a totally different room looked across, noticed we hadn't been served, and came over to check on us. she asked if anyone had taken our food order, and i let out a grumpy, exasperated "no... no one has even offered water or coffee yet." i actually didn't mean to be grumpy to her in particular. she wasn't one of the employees who had passed us up, and it was the first time i'd seen her. it was just bad timing since we were moments away from leaving. we ended up staying, somewhat reluctantly. they seemed motivated to make it right, so we ordered our coffee and food, and i put on a less grumpy face. after the waitress took our orders, the food came back quick (about 10-ish minutes). my kid devoured his entire pancake. he hasn't met a pancake he doesn't like (lol). my partner had a maple bacon liege waffle. he thought it was so-so. i tried a bite and personally didn't like it. i love waffles, and i'm glad i didn't order one. i had over medium eggs, sausage, and hash browns. the eggs and hash browns were pretty good, but the sausage had a subtle aftertaste i didn't enjoy. the coffee tasted weak and bland, so i only took a few sips. all in all, the food itself was pretty mid, it served its purpose. we all agreed we wouldn't return the next time we stay in Klamath. while i appreciate the staff doing what they could to smooth things over, we also got the vibe that they do not have an organized system of assigning and looking after their tables (just kind of seems like a free for all), and they seat way more people than they have the capacity to handle. read more

After an unexpected landing in Klamath Falls, I found myself at the Waffle Hut--possibly the best unplanned detour I've ever had. And let me tell you, the masterpiece I ordered was nothing short of legendary. Picture this: a waffle as the foundation, crispy hashbrowns layered on top, then a glorious chicken fried steak, crowned with a perfectly cooked egg, and smothered in rich, creamy gravy. It was a tower of comfort food greatness, and every bite was pure bliss. This dish didn't just satisfy my hunger--it told a story, a story of indulgence and why I have zero regrets. The waffle was fluffy yet sturdy enough to hold the ridiculous amount of deliciousness stacked on it. The chicken fried steak was seasoned to perfection, and the gravy was so good I'm convinced it could solve most of life's problems. If you ever find yourself in Klamath Falls, whether planned or unplanned, do yourself a favor and hit up the Waffle Hut. It's worth the stop and possibly worth making an emergency landing for. Five stars, 10/10, would eat this glorious monstrosity again in a heartbeat. read more

Hubby & I've never had liege style waffles until now. We dropped in for lunch. It was busy on a Monday around noon. The hostess acknowledged us all waiting. Like eight of us queued up. She threw out the suggestion if age 21+ go into the bar lounge to be served. Hubby & I took her suggestion. We sat ourselves down at a table. Just one guy wearing multiple hats. He acknowledged us, and said he'll be right with us. He took our drink orders. Then we waited......He comes back and takes our orders.....Then we waited....We probably waited 20+ minutes as the single guy is running back and forth. Finally our orders come, but no utensils. Hubby got up and got us some. Our coffee cups were refilled a couple of times. For eats: * hubby had the chicken fried steak and waffle with hash browns * I had the chicken tenders and waffle with chopped bacon The liege waffle is different from your Belgian waffle or traditional waffle. Our liege waffle was shaped like a Belgian waffle but much more dense and cakey. It contained crystallized sugar to me. Sweet already so I took it easy on the maple syrup. My chicken tenders were on point. Thick sliced chicken breast breaded and deep fried. Topped with melted butter and maple syrup, and sprinkled with chopped bacon. The best I've eaten. This place was no frills kind of place but it was busy. read more
