Visiting my younger son at OIT and wanted a hearty breakfast. Visited Denny's in Klamath, Falls, OR to try on of their four specials for $9.99. I ordered coffee which was just perfect. Natasha was my waitress and the most attentive and cheerful person in the morning. I finished the main entree with hash brown and took the two pancakes back to my hotel. My eyes were bigger than my stomach because I think I could have shared this with another person. They're open 24/7 so it's breakfast any time. Warning! Eat here at your own risk! I made a huge mistake. I should have read the reviews on Yelp before taking my family to this place. When we first arrived there was an overwhelming stench both outside and inside the restaurant. The restaurant was very dirty and it appeared the floor had not been cleaned in some time, possibly weeks. The silverware did not look clean, either. I initially felt the waitress who seated us was stand-offish but quickly realized that the she was actually preparing for what was to come later. When we received our order the person (not the waitress) who delivered the food to our table informed us he "f'ed up the order" but proceeded to give us our food anyway. It didn't really matter that the order was wrong because the food was inedible. The food that came to the table looked disgusting and I was so shocked that I began laughing. I considered making a scene but realized that the waitress was put in a terrible position. She clearly knew exactly what was going to happen and was preparing for the worst possible reaction. I suspect this is her experience all day long. I feel sad for the employees who want to deliver a good product but are completely powerless due to the ineptness of whom ever is managing the store. If I could give this place a zero rating I would. I hope the good employees find some place else where they can be proud of their work. Kris was so nice! We went there at 2am on a road trip and I think Kris was the only one serving the whole place and I think he did a WONDERFUL job keeping up with everybody, checking out and make sure that we got a great experience. Kudos for him!! We got cinnamon roll pancakes with eggs, bacon, and hash, and an ala carte strawberry crepe with the side of cheesy hash brown. Cinnamon roll pancakes: AMAZING!!! It was soooo good!! Warm, sweet, delicious goodness with cream cheese on top. The strawberry crepe was also really delicious.. it has vanilla creme filling and strawberry sauce. Yum! If I could give this Denny's zero stars, I would. Walking in felt like stepping into the Twilight Zone. The first thing we noticed was the outside, it looked like a giant ashtray. Cigarette butts were scattered everywhere, giving the impression no one had cleaned the place in months. Once inside, things only got worse. The bathrooms were beyond disgusting. There were literal inches of dirt caked on the floor, making it impossible to step anywhere without feeling like you needed a shower afterward. The ceiling wasn't just damaged.. it was caving in, and the walls were falling apart in several places. It honestly felt unsafe to be in the building. Then came the food. Our meals arrived cold, tasted like cardboard, and to make matters worse, my dad ended up getting food poisoning after eating here. The entire experience was nothing short of a nightmare. This place needs to be shut down and completely renovated. No, it needs t be TORE down. It's a health hazard, a safety hazard, and an absolute disgrace to the Denny's brand. Unfortunately this Denny's in Klamath Falls is in disrepair and not up to the standards of the chain. It's literally trashy--trash littering the back area, the windows are streaked and greasy, the parking lot is rough, and the interior is run-down. I'm torn between feeling sorry for the employees and wondering why they can't even pick up the trash. What does that say about the service and the food? I use to dine at the Klamath Falls, OR Denny's from time to time. Several of the female employees their are routinely rude, and their ignorant manager routinely does nothing to correct their behaviors. Additional, their breakfast is routinely under cooked or over cooked. Although their lunch and dinner meals routinely are pretty good. During my last visit (10/07/2020) I ended up walking out, because an dark haired female lacks "People Skills" and lacks "Professionalism"... I walked in around 10:15AM and was putting on my COVID-19 facemask as required and this employee was staring down, rolling her eyes, and rudely yelled "Put on your facemask mask, Sir". I replied "I am" she continued to glare me down, shake her head, and roll her eyes rudely. After this, I just walked out while wearing my COVID-19 facemask because I felt very uncomfortable with her. I will admit that I was going to give them a bad review because we ordered 4 sandwiches (with Doordash) and 2 of them were wrong. BUT when I called them, the manager (her name was Samantha) was So Friendly and apologetic and offered to remake our sandwiches! A lot of places would not do that. We ate here for breakfast this morning at it ended being the worst mistake we made. I got the chicken fried steak meal and my husband got the French toast meal. My husband let me know the sausage had an odd taste and was unable to finish eating it. For my meal the chicken fried steak had a freezer burn taste to it which I also didn't finish. When I paid for the meal I let the girl know that the chicken fried steak had the freezer burn taste her response was "okay thanks for letting me know", I felt that was something that should have been addressed immediately. Soon after leaving the establishment my husband had a stomach ache and I was feeling nauseous. This meal has officially destroyed our day we have both been extremely sick for the rest of the day. Never again (at least in Klamath). Went there this last Friday Around 11pm only because my brother really wanted to. I knew Dennys was good when I was in high school but has gone downhill since then. The Good: The busboy and server were nice. The Bad: 80% of the tables were dirty. Took a long time to be seated. Once seated it took a long time to order (1 server, 1 busboy, 1 manager...super short staffed). My brother ordered a glass of milk and didn't drink it because there was lipstick on the glass. Server never came back to check on us. Waited 40 minutes for eggs, bacon, french toast, wheat toast and fruit. During this time we overheard another table complaining that the food they got isn't what they ordered. Parts of the ceiling were held together by painters tape. The Ugly: We didn't want to wait any longer and asked to take the food to go if it was ready. The manager looked irritated that we even asked? He also mumbled a lot and you could tell he was fed up. I heard managment changed and noticed a -we're hiring- advertisement on facebook. I have a few friends looking for work so I stopped and asked how to apply. The first lady 2 weeks ago said they didn't have applications and to apply online she thinks. Great! Except when you try it says no hiring at the Klamath falls location? So I went in again about a week later to ask while I was in the area. The 2nd lady was rude and pushy and responded in other words that she didn't know and for me to figure it out. Very awkward and uncomfortable. Third time was a call and I just wanted to see what would happen mostly. This doesn't seem like a great place to work anyway. I said I just had a quick question about applying.. and before I could finish Cheyenne snapped back with "Who calls over the phone to check on an application?! no, this is NOT the time! bye." I have eaten at this Denny's on many occasions and each time I get Amanda as my server, I have a great experience. Amanda is so attentive, efficient and has such a sweet personality. If you are in the Klamath Falls area and want great food an excellent service ask for Amanda to be your server. She set a awesome example of customer service and delivers with a big smile. BUT I've never had a server try and take an order with his head phones on full blast. (Richard- try turning your crappy music off when interacting with customers) Then he complained about having hearing issues and we needed to speak up?! WTF? The burger I ordered didn't even resemble a patty. Came in 4 chunks that were pressed so hard they were super thin and crusty on the edges. Okay...Denny's.... This is another funny/strange thing to happen in a restaurant. ( Partly my fault, who the hail* orders cheesecake at a Denny's?) The cheesecake was hard and rubbery. I told the waitress. She picks up the plate and begins eating with my fork, even! I said,"Even if you like it, I'm not taking it back" She had a few bites, A FEW BITES?
