The sheriff deputy we saw along our drive through Doris recommended this place to my dad. We found Michelle to be very helpful and informative. The sign outside says "Last Stop Cafe," on maps it's "Cinders Cafe," but it's been known as "Warden Cafe." We have little dogs that also needed a break and there is a dog park right near that has a large dog and small dog enclosures next to the gas station. The Western Burger we got was very tasty. They have fresh cut curly fries and we also got fish and chips. We originally got it to go and they packed it with all the fixings but ended up staying to eat. The bathrooms were clean and they have a very spacious bar area with lottery machines. read more

As we drove back towards California we stumbled across Cinders. We made a quick stop for a Bite. We opted for the Cajun fries and wings. Not listed on the menu but never hurts to ask... we love lemon pepper wings. Luckily they had the season so they obliged our request and we were grateful. Driving south on 97 we stopped for breakfast. It was a very pleasant experience. I stepped out my usual breakfast pattern and had biscuits and gravy and it was great. I am a truck driver I stopped at the gas station to get a drink and smell the steak cooking. I ordered the New York steak waitress forgot my A1 sauce, but remembered it when she got me a refill for my drink. This was a definitely a little oasis with good food, and good diner feel. After a long 5 days camping all over Oregon, and before an even longer drive back home... we needed substantial grub for the journey and hoped it would taste better than the quick stops. Low and behold, the service was prompt, kind and the food came out as ordered! Those are definitely bonus points right off the bat for a roadside diner. Then, the coffee was always full and hot... plus the menu was diverse and delicious! Boyfriend at the Bison Breakfast special and I got the breakfast sandwich with sausage. Food was good! Not just oh, good for a diner. Actually good. Meat cooked well, cheese and eggs tasted home cooked, and the pancake was perfectly cooked. We enjoyed half, got full(what?), and ate it on the ride home. And it was still delicious. There were 4 women running this place at the time... cooking and waiting tables. I guess a place that is more worried about goin home for the night than taking care of their paying customers. The first time we ate Here a week ago lunch was delicious. I had a tasty elk burgee with a fresh salad. My friend had their fettuccine Alfredo which she loved. So today we decided to take the family there. What a horrible mistake. Granted the place was busy serving Saturday lunch we waited almost two hours between getting our orders taking and receiving our burgers. Some of the burgers were so charcoaled I had to cut the buttoms off for the children to be able to eat them. All the other burgers were cold with dried Out buns. The French fries were not even warm enough to be edible. The cottage cheese was sour. And last but not least most of our salads were wilted brown and soggy. I am still in shock at how atrocious our meal was. This is definitely the worst review I have ever written and I hope it the last I have to ever write like this. read more

This is a truck stop diner so we came here not having high expectations. Upon entering the diner the first thing I noticed was the odor. It smelled of old dirty carpet and like it hadn't been aired out in over 10 years. The waitress was quite friendly and serves us promptly. The salad was wilted and lacking in the veggie department. My boyfriend ordered an elk burger with fries and I ordered a steak and fries. Both of our fries were so over cooked there was virtually no moisture left. The steak and elk burger was cooked fine but overall the meal was mediocre at best. Was expensive for the quality we received. Don't think we will return again, but this diner is in a great location for truckers with plenty of parking. read more

Despite being long-time Klamath County residents, this was our first time eating at Cinder's. "Dy-No-Mite" is how I'd describe both the food and service. Gina was our server, and she was top notch, making us all feel at home and checked on us several times to make sure all our dining needs were more than fulfilled. My sister had the shrimp dinner and devoured it, and her friend had the NY Strip dinner I believe and he had zero complaints. I had the DBL Bacon cheese burger and curly fries. The burger was seasoned and cooked to perfection and the bacon was not to crispy and not floppy either, it was thick cut and they put plenty on the burger. Last year they had a makeover so it's quite decent seating. I'm rating the cheeseburgers. Consistently perfect although one cook is better than the other but I dont know which is which. They have two kinds of fries, one is cooked until they are burned really bad...the others are the best fries I've ever eaten. The meat comes from a local butcher and is fresh daily.
