Lunch counter style seating

We stopped because the kiddos needed to use the restroom and couldn't wait. The young lady that was working was very kind and gracious because there was about 8 of use that had to go. I got an order of fries and they were good. I wanted to try a burger, fries, and a shake but we were in a mission. If I come back this way again I will have to sample the Cuisine. The bar attached in the back has some slot machines if you want to stop and try your luck. The machines where busy even on a weekday in the early evening.

Hands down for this café it was just the best ! Service was great and burgers, fries are delicious are the best burgers we've had, driving back to California and was looking for food seen a advertisement of this place and we Yelp it reviews were great so we made a stop and we will truly say everything was the best ! We recommend this place a must stop for all travels .

Lemon pepper wings (not on the menu)

As we drove back towards California we stumbled across Cinders. We made a quick stop for a Bite. We opted for the Cajun fries and wings. Not listed on the menu but never hurts to ask... we love lemon pepper wings. Luckily they had the season so they obliged our request and we were grateful. The fries were a huge order and the wings satisfying. They also had some slot games and a claw game for the kids which I must admit we tried to win a stuffed animal but no luck

Not too shabby of a place for a good meal. Staff was most friendly and establishment was clean. When in Worden, this is about it and worth the stop.

We came here for dinner and that we tried the special. We sat in a bar that was super nice good service very attentive and strong pores on the drinks and the food came out pretty quickly with the side salads and soup. The french fries were super good and made to order and very fresh. I had the chicken fried steak and french fries and it was really amazing very homey very warming and delicious.

The perfect place to stop if you're taking a road trip from California to Portland. There comes a point where there's not many places to stop and this place offered yummy food and great customer service!

Front of the menu at least

Actually a great diner, especially for the deserted stretch just north of the state line. Had a very good pastrami sandwich with fries, and dropped more money than I should have in the slot machine room. Owner was almost too friendly, very interested in making sure I had the best possible lunch. Will be back.

We got a table immediately and our waitress brought us waters and took our drink orders. She gave us plenty of time with the menu and took our orders when we were ready. I got the 4 sausage links with eggs and hash browns, my partner got the strawberry banana waffle, and his sister got the peared up waffle. I also got a hot chocolate, which was pretty thick and a little too rich to finish. The whipped cream it had was great, though. Our food came out fairly quickly and was good. My eggs were good and the toast was nice. The hash browns were a bit chewy and tasted a bit like they had been cooked on a cooktop that hadn't been cleaned in a while. The sausage was also super tough and I wasn't able to finish it. The waffles my partner and his sister got were good, they didn't have any complaints about them. Our server was very nice and checked on us frequently. The prices were pretty affordable and the table was clean. The restaurant as a whole looked pretty clean, on par with a standard diner. There is ample parking both on the street and in their private lot. If you're in town and looking for a place for breakfast, definitely stop in! I'd recommend the waffles over the egg dishes, I would probably get a waffle next time I visit.

What my wife said - mind you, this after a week on the road from WA to SoCal and back, and having enjoyed a bevy other EXCELLENT restaurants: "we saved the best for last". Finally, our experience can be best summed up by what Kevin told me over my allergen inquiry email a week before we came in, and then again by what Alanna told us when I had follow up questions during our visit: "We'll take good care of you". And THEY DID. Punky's is a special place. Thoughtfully serving food in quality and quantity that'll make feel like you're in someone's home. We genuinely laughed out loud as a family at the jokes in the blue book at the table; my wife and I got misty eyed in the Vet room; and even though we intended to make it a quick stop, we had no problem adjusting our schedule to linger a while. We left feeling very full. In more ways than one. Thank you. We'll be back and be in touch.

Wish I lived closer so I could try more of the menu. Also conveniently located next to a Safeway gas station with good prices if you're continuing on. Definitely worth a few minutes off I-5 for a better meal than you'd get at most places along the way.
