GreenSprings Market & Deli - Turkey and cheese on white, simple sandwich but fresh and delicious!

We were driving thru town, looking for a deli sandwich. Any place we could get a good sandwich quickly, to get back on the road quickly, that wasn't yet another fast food place. I had a simple turkey and cheese on white. I can't describe quite why it was so good. Maybe it was just very, very fresh, and prepared exactly how I ordered it. No one overthought it or gentrified it or anything like that. They did the thing they do, and they did that thing well. My wife had a roast beef sandwich and it was the same story. Not sure why it was as good as it was, except that it was fresh and didn't have a bunch of extra toppings or "accoutrement" she didn't want. Even though this is clearly a very local establishment, they were friendly to us, and the bathroom was clean. We ended up buying some other supplies from the convenience store section, saving a stop. Plenty of parking on the side of the store and fairly easy to get back to the highway. Definitely worth a stop for provisions.

I communicated with this business prior to our arrival to determine whether they made their sandwiches in the morning, and of course "yes." I put my order in online on the day of our travel, and arrived at an amazing, quaint, hometown coffeehouse, I am sorry I did not get to experience a coffee and breakfast there (amazing aroma!), but I can tell you that the sandwiches we took into the park were over the top. I would highly recommend if you're heading to CLNP and are unsure of your timing for when you might want a meal.

We went mostly in the morning during the two days we stayed at Klamath Falls. I got their cold brew coffee and it was not sour or burnt tasting like some other fancy coffee shops. For anyone that is gluten-free, this place can accommodate almost any of their ingredients for GF options. I can't recommend this place enough.

And as someone said before, you have to look around to discover all the beers, cause some are not refrigerated (on shelf), and also there is a very cold cooler in the back. They have a couple aisles of convenience stuff, but I didn't look that close, candy up front, and at least 4 beers on tap, growlers available, not sure about drinking in the store, or tasting.

Looks are definitely deceiving with this place! These aren't lame beers...these are a lot of microbrews as well as a significant amount of hard-to-find beers (read VERY hard to find in K-Falls). They had one of my favorite beers...Duchesse of Bourgogne (Belgian)...I couldn't believe it. They also have other awesome offerings such as nice cheeses (majority seemed to be from Rogue Creamery...solid). And they serve food...sandwiches, salads, breakfast items. And apparently it is excellent...I stopped by on my way to a buddy's house up the street and I asked him about this place and his words were "Yeah, it's awesome. Their food is great, some of the best in town." So there you go. Prices are good too. The owner needs to fancify the outside a bit so people don't think it's a divey convenience store. Top notch!

This review is for the Hope Street Farmstand, known in the community as "The Barn," which is still…read moreopen on Fridays and Saturdays at 3803 Hope St. in Klamath Falls. These same people owned the Hope Street Farmstand restaurant at 1850 Main St., which didn't last a year. This place deserves a zero for the attitude displayed today toward us. The owners, Kyle and Nikki, have decided they can tell people where and how to park when they visit their "barn" and enforce parking on a public street. They do not have the authority or the right to do so. Only law enforcement can enforce parking on a public street, even in front of their property. A call to the Sheriff's Dept. told us Kyle can only control his own property up to the property line, not the street where we thoughtfully and carefully parked. It's understandable that they want to keep the school children safe and the neighborhood free of bottleneck traffic; however, Kyle is rude and mean. He stands in his driveway and by "the barn" and dictates where people can park. If you disagree, he tells you to leave. He has the same sign included here posted outside "the barn" and says people must strictly abide by it. We have given these people a lot of business since they've been open. Today, as we do each week, we pulled up in front of their "barn" to buy an item. We had seen their "parking rules," and as a courtesy and to please them, I pulled completely off the street behind the white line, as his "parking rules" state. His driveway was full. He rushed out of his driveway and insisted that we move our vehicle into his driveway. I'm the only driver in our household. With my chronic pain, I couldn't get back into the vehicle, move it, get back out, enter "the barn," and walk clear back over to our vehicle and get back in. I also couldn't see how I could park in an already full driveway. I tried to explain this to him. He abruptly cut me off. "These are the rules, sorry!" he snarled. My spouse told him we only wanted to buy one item and we would leave quickly. "It doesn't matter! These are the rules. You must move or leave!" His tone was so rude and disrespectful. We chose to leave. "Fine, we will never be back, and we've given you a lot of business." He shrugged, stood close, and watched us climb back into our vehicle. He stood there until we pulled out. It was creepy and felt threatening. He didn't care that he lost that sale and all future sales from us, or our referrals to friends and family. Being a control freak matters more. He could have approached us in a much friendlier manner and explained why he wanted us to move our vehicle into his already full driveway. Instead, he jumped on us as soon as we exited our vehicle. Records located in the Oregon Judicial System show that Kyle has a felony conviction for menacing. Think twice before you do business with these people. It's not difficult to see why their restaurant at 1850 Main St. lasted less than a year. Many other locally owned, friendly bakeries and small pop-ups offer the same types of items. We will give them our business.

Inside had matching brick and white benches and a table filled with fresh baked goods such as bread and focaccia. We ordered 2 Rancher's Ribeye Melt and made one of them a combo (beans and a drink). The order took a little longer than expected. The sandwich was pretty tasty though. The perfectly toasted jalapeno sourdough bread was nicely buttered. The meat had a good flavor, but I wished there was more. The cheese had a nice pull. The side of beans was solid. Lots of cold drinks options and watermelon slushie was good but it didn't taste like watermelon. Overall, it was a good find while driving through a Klamath Falls!
