I just had bariatric surgery a few months back and can only eat limited quantities. My children wanted some ice cream and I figured this place would be perfect since I could measure out myself how much I wanted. Well, it is no longer self service. The owners make your own cup and then do the toppings. The cups were very large and when I said I was good with my amount they scowled at me. Then when it came to toppings they were horrifically impatient and when I tried to limit how much, they got angry again. Now, I had been there once previously in the beginning of 2020 before the shut down. There was a special needs child in there and he was touching things and just being a kid. The owner flipped out and told the parents to "control their retard." They also made comments about the adults for speaking in a different language to each other. After my uncomfortable experience the other night, I remembered that one and WHY I have not patronized that small business in years. The only positive I have for this place is the location and the cleanliness of the area. It is probably clean because there is no customers to be found. The setting is extremely unfriendly and has signs everywhere on the door stating no bathroom, and no sitting on the outdoor seats. Just unwelcoming and unfriendly, which is sad since it has potential to be a goldmine next to a dance/gymnastics studio. If you have, or know anyone with, a food allergy, I urge you to share. My 9 year old was scared of the guy. There is a report on file with Oxford PD and countless reviews similar to mine. Please, let's make this go viral. I came into *peachwave* Friday night with my 9 year old son. This particular store does NOT do self serve, which, fine... when getting toppings I let the man know my son has a severe nut allergy. He added my toppings then proceeded to ask my son if he wanted toppings from that side. I told him he only wants toppings from the other side. He ignored me then asked my son if he wanted snickers. I reminded him my son has a severe nut allergy. He says, so? I say snickers has peanuts... he then offers brownies. I ask if they're nut free, he says he makes them himself. I then ask if there's any chance of cross contamination. And he gets mad and tells me I need to relax, it's not a big deal. I inform him that it IS in fact a BIG deal as my son could die. He got argumentative with me, yelling at me that it's not his fault my son has a nut allergy. ???? This gets to the point where he comes out from behind the counter and is screaming at me to get out of his store and being a mom of a child with a severe allergy, i stood my ground. I won't be bullied by a man who got upset with me for correcting him. I yelled back and we continued to argue loudly. There were other customers in the store at this time. The woman working then tells me she is going to record this, which I encouraged her to do. At this point my son is scared, hands over his ears, and the guy starts mocking him, saying "oh ooh yea you better cover your ears, wahhh." They said they were calling the cops and I encouraged that too, told them I'd be waiting outside. While i was sitting outside, i also called for police. The man then comes outside and continues yelling at me, he wanted me to leave the property, knowing if I left one police were called I'd be "leaving the scene" (Because, apparently, "this isn't the first time this has happened" -his own words!!!!!). When the police arrive, they ask to see video. He says they have cameras but they "don't record" and the woman says she recorded a video. Then went back inside and never came back out - she never showed them her video. When speaking with police after they heard his story, they let me know his story was different, but confirmed this isn't the first time they've gotten complaints about this location and asked if I've seen their yelp reviews. I'm nowhere near done. My fb post has been shared 84 times so far. My 2 next door posts have reached over 8.5k people. I had another person tell me this guy PURPOSELY put nuts at the bottom of his son's cup and cover it with ice cream so they wouldn't notice. Luckily he noticed before his kid reached to bottom. Maybe i watch too many movies but that sounds like attempted murder to me. Another man told me he shoved him. Another was threatened with a baseball bat. This place needs new management or to be shut down all together. If you can share this review, know anyone who can get more exposure on this guy (news, paper, anything). My girlfriend and I visited during COVID. We were not able to pick our toppings and amounts like you normally can which was disappointing but I would rather not get a virus touching the same spoon as someone expected. I found the owners to be very friendly and inviting. Others have complained about them but I had no issues. This placed opened up about a year ago. For those of u that live in Oxford, its nice to have a frozen dessert place that is open year round, unlike other places in town. This was my first visit since they opened and although I am not a big frequenter of frozen yogurt shops, I do visit a few during my travels. This place is very similar to them and I expect is typical for a self serve frozen yogurt shop. They offer about a dozen different frozen yogurt flavors along with several dozen toppings both wet and dry. A few notes... 1) they only offer two size cups, both seem to big. Would be nice if they had a smaller one. Not a big deal since everything is based on weight, but a smalkler cup would just make me fill like I am not eating too much. 2) they do not offer taster cups. I visit a place down south called Sweet Frog, they have tiny taster cups to try the different flavors, its a nice touch and one this place should think about. 3) Pricing is reasonable, about what you would expect. Price is based on weight of your items. 4) Interior decor is comfortable if not a bit too retro/kitsch. Overall decent experience, i will be back. read more

I never leave reviews but they deserve one. A bunch of typical Karen's and her friends leaving reviews on here the past few weeks. I've frequented multiple different peach wave establishment in the past. To say the least, this place is the cleanest, most professional owners I've ever met. I personally think Covid is B.S, but they serve for you as a precaution & I'm totally ok with it. They've been nothing but utmost respectful, sincere, and kind every time my family or I ever has been in there. A few of my family members have allergies. They informed the staff (which I believe to be the owners because they're always there when I go around 6-7pm). I believe there is a karate place next door, a lot of parents with kids come in and they are sweet as pie (ice cream haha) to the kids. Giving them high fives if the parents are ok with it (which everyone of them has been) to talking with the kids so kindly. Down to just how my day was. Long review but this establishment deserves it. Came in with multiple people. As long as it wasn't packed inside asked if we could move a table and chairs together to accommodate a bigger party, and they refused to let us move them ourselves. They came over and moved it for us. Long story short, this is the place you want to get a few extra calories in on! Great clean place and even nicer people. read more

My friend and I went in there around 9 pm (30 minutes prior to them closing) a couple weeks ago. First of all this location is not self serve yet is advertised as self serve. You can't even control the amount of froyo you get in your cup so expect to pay $15 whether you wanted a small amount or not. SECOND OF ALL, and most importantly.. the owners (assuming they are husband and wife?) are EXTREMELY RUDE but especially the male who typically does the toppings. I walked in joking around with my friend doing a fake "valley girl" accent and he proceeded to imitate me repeatedly from behind the counter like a school girl bully in the fifth grade. I was so embarrassed for him that I stayed quiet and refused to respond to him that way he could possibly learn how to professionally collect himself. He continued to be extremely rude until I said I didn't think I wanted to buy the froyo anymore, and at the point the woman stepped in and completed my order. She was over the top nice, in a fake way, to likely make up for her male coworkers disgruntled attitude. I have to say this is the worst customer service I have ever received in my life and it's kind of hard to explain the extent of the rudeness via text considering facial expressions and tone of voice was a huge factor as to why I felt so uncomfortable. I'm not sure what this guys problem is considering we were perfectly polite, paying customers at his establishment (they claimed to be the owners). My car died in the parking lot - they offered to help, made me feel comfortable and welcome waiting inside the store until help arrived rather than outside in the cold, and gave me a water bottle! Every single time I have come here in the past couple of years, the staff has always been super welcoming and often expresses how thankful they are for our business, so my opinion of this establishment has always been very high. Today my friends and I went out for dinner as a reunion because we were all back from college for our break, and we decided afterwards to stop at Peachwave for dessert for some of us. It was around 8pm, and they close at 10. Because there were many of us, one of my friends moved a couple chairs over so we could sit together. As she was doing so, the owner, out of nowhere, exploded on to her, saying that if she wanted to move chairs then she should ask first. She put the chair back, completely in shock at how absurd the situation was. We were then kicked out. I am really trying to be objective in this situation and look at what we could have done to set him off. It seemed to all of us in retrospect that we were respectful otherwise, not being too loud nor making any sort of mess. I work in the food industry as well, and I can understand if 9 people come in, especially on the later side, it can cause some stress, but only a few people actually ordered anything, so they were done serving us within 5 minutes. Not an exaggeration. If I were to do anything close to the reaction we received if I was working, I would be fired right on the spot. This situation was already upsetting, but it was even more upsetting because of how highly we all regarded the owners because of positive past experiences there. Very good frozen yogurt, atmosphere, and staff! Many toppings to choose from. Extremely customizable... Basically, you get your own cup, stuff as much frozen yogurt and toppings as you can in it, and then pay by weight. I'm not giving this place a 5 star rating on the frozen yogurt alone. Love coming here for my frozen yogurt fix. Staff is always nice. They usually have seasonal yogurt flavors as well. Still keeping with the four stars since the peanut/nut topping situation has not changed. I know it is the customers responsibility to be aware of their allergies, but I think the shop can do its part as well. When I said something to the women she starting yelling at me and then two young girls starting yelling. Then the owner stood on a chair in the direction of our party which was my son's baseball team and told us how they do business and if someone doesn't like it then they need to leave and even said he would meet one of men out back. We had been to Oxford Peachwave several times and everything was fine. However, we went there yesterday, my husband and step-daughter to celebrate a late Father's Day. My step-daughter wanted to try some of the yogurt and asked for a sample. The young girl and father were behind the counter. The young girl came around the counter with a tiny spoon to get a sample and walked away. My step-daughter not wanting to bother her again, took her cup and put a tiny amount of yogurt on the inside edge and licked it to try. I wasn't watching closely but she did that a few times. WELL, the owner started to literally yell at her. My step-daughter felt so bad. I do understand they didn't like it, and I get that but the yelling was uncalled for. Upon check out I said to my step-daughter who only had a tiny bit of yogurt in her cup (she felt bad), "I really would have like to have an enjoyable time here" WELLL, the young girl snapped back "Well if you paid for what you ate it wouldn't have been a problem". It escalated from there. The girls father stepped in and started screaming at us to get out and don't come back, we couldn't get a word in edgewise, neither would shut their mouths! We left and THEY FOLLOWED US OUTSIDE AND CONTINUED TO YELL AT US. The father called my step-daughter a fat pig!!!! I told them I was going to call the police! They said go ahead. They actually stood outside and watched us as we ate our yogurts in the car. We did not deserve to be treated this way! What kind of business people are they?
