I don't like repair places because I have this fear that they are all out to get those of us who don't know how to fix things ourselves!! But after trying to diagnose my non-working computer myself, I decided to research my options. I found Peachtree Computers here on Yelp and saw the good reviews so I decided to give it a try. I walked in and saw some computers lined up so they sell computers here too. I also bought my phone with me to see what the quote on my cracked screen would be. Although there was no one at the counter when I walked in someone came out pretty quick. I presented my two problems but was more concerned about my computer because I have insurance on my phone. I explained what happened and they hooked it up right away. Unfortunately it wasn't something quick so I was told I could leave it and they would run a free diagnostic on it. I was unclear because I thought they would fix it and I knew I didn't want to fix it since I got it cheap and probably need a new one. But the gentlemen made clear they would present me with the problems and the costs before proceeding with anything. I was given a something to sign giving them permission to diagnose the problem and I provided my email as well as my phone number so they could advise me of the status. Because it was close to the end of the day he advised they would not be able to get to it until late the next day. To my surprise I was called and emailed next day in the early afternoon about the diagnostic on my computer. Bottom line is they were able to tell me the problems (Hard drive and motherboard) and the price including labor to repair. They did this over email so I could let it sink in. When I called and spoke to Jeff on the phone I confirmed the repairs warrant a new computer compared to the price I paid for it. He agreed with me on my choice and in no way tried to push me into a repair. He also advised on the option to have my data transferred when I get a new computer. I went and signed out my computer and made my way home. No charge and NO STRESS. No pushy sales tactic. No crazy sounding things that may be wrong with the computer. And even the prices I was quoted seemed reasonable. Everyone I dealt with the friendly and helpful. I will be glad to go back for my data transfer. The guys at Peachtree definitely eased my fears of repair facilities. I still don't like car mechanics though. read more

The moving service I hired did a horrible job and totally broke my iMac. Outer screen and LCD got shattered, and the corner of metal frame got bent. I took it to Apple store and Micro Center close by to get an estimate on repair, but they told me the damage is beyond repair, and it would be cheaper just to get a new iMac. I almost gave up hope and thought about drop it off at recycle center. Peachtree Computers was my last hope and they did amazing job, and the price was reasonable. I brought my laptop in on a Wednesday night about an hour before closing and it was diagnosed, fixed, and ready for pickup in less than 24hrs. Bobby was super helpful and knowledgeable! He called and explained the problem. Turns out that my hard drive was bad and needed to be replaced. He gave me different options and helped me decide on the best one. I didn't feel like he was trying to up-sell me or push for something I didn't need, which I appreciate. The diagnostic was free so I paid for labor and the new drive. Prices are very reasonable and customer service was quick and friendly. Bobby took the time to explain what was removed/changed and how to navigate to run certain checks when I picked up my laptop. Peachtree Computers is my location of choice for repairing anything technology related. The people who work here are friendly, knowledgable, and most important of all, honest. They don't try to charge you extra or shove additional services in your face to try to get every cent out of your pocket. In fact, Peachtree Computers offers cheaper service than any other computer/phone repair service I know. The first time I came here, my computer was suffering from a failing hard drive. I wanted to extract some documents from my hard drive, including photos, music, and important school documents. I called other computer repair services, and they quoted me anywhere from $50 to $120 to extract data from my hard drive. At Peachtree Computers, I only had to pay $19. The employee initially told me that it would be anywhere from $19 to $59, so I was expecting to pay $59. Needless to say, I was delighted when I found out it would be on the low end of the quote. I came here for a second time today to fix my cracked iPhone screen. Once again, they offered cheaper services than anywhere else. They only charged $69, whereas other repair services charged anywhere from $80 to $120. In addition, the 10% off coupon on Yelp brought the already cheap $69 down to $62. The employee working today wasn't even aware that they had a 10% off coupon on Yelp. Instead of outright rejecting the coupon, he gave someone a call, got it verified, and ended up accepting the coupon. He also offered to replace my iPhone battery for $49, stating that my iPhone battery was hanging on its edge and needs to be replaced. I've known this for a while, since my iPhone dies after about two hours of surfing the web. However, I've never taken the initiative to replace it, due to the fact that replacing an iPhone battery is usually expensive. I've been told my battery had gone bad at a different repair shop before, but they charged way too much ($70) so I ended up rejecting their service. At Peachtree Computers, they said it would only be $49, so I accepted their offer to replace my battery; I don't know how good the quality of this new battery is, but I guess I will find out soon enough. My new iPhone screen seems to be made of good material. Pretty sturdy, looks and feels similar to the original iPhone screen. No more trying to watch Netflix on a cracked iPhone screen. Not sure if the new battery is worth it; I've always just thought that iPhone batteries die fast. Will update in a week or so to discuss if the new battery from Peachtree Computers actually does last longer than my old battery. UPDATE: New battery works great! My phone used to go straight from 10% battery to being dead; now it slowly counts down. Seems like it lasts slightly longer too; maybe about 50%-60% longer? $49 for this service seems to be a reasonable price. Wouldn't say it's cheap or expensive. read more

I was referred to Peachtree Computers years ago by my former tech repair person. Since then anytime something happens I immediately go to them for the solution and repair. I have also taken my son's laptop for repair. I have several computers/laptops. On this particular day my 'MAIN' pc went on the blink. And because of the service I have always received I no longer worry about repairs. So when I arrived I told them "This is the only computer of mine that you have not worked on and I think its jealous." There was no power on the PC. Aaron laughed as he plugged it in. He knew right away what was the problem, identified what part was needed. He said the only issue would be if he did not have the part. I affirmed oh you have the part. And sure enough he did. I asked could it be repaired by the next day and he said he could repair it right away. I went to B&N and before I could even get inside the store I was being called to say it was completely repaired! I had a very bad experience with Peachtree computers, but please take some time to read.... Yes, the price for my screen repair was reasonable, but their customer service after they damaged my logic board was terrible. I'll break down the scenario into the steps taken by myself and the manager... 1.) Brought my iPhone 6 in for a cracked screen repair. They were able to replace the screen and I had a working phone after my 1 hr lunch break. Great! 70 dollars well spent! 2.) After about 2 hours, my screen goes black. Since it was after hours, I stopped by the next day to have them take a look at it. I had already spent 20 minutes researching the topic, and it seemed common for a iPhone 6 backlight to burn out after bad screen replacement. Because the screen was working when I walked out the door, the Peachtree computers' manager said it was "not our fault! You broke your phone, we fixed it!" After I became angry and we exchanged a few yells, they agreed to have a 3rd party repair the backlight circuit that had burned out at cost; something the manager said they were "losing money on" even though cost of the third party repair came back to me. I furiously paid the money beacause I was told I did the damage and it was not covered under the screen warranty and was told never to come back. 70 (screen) + 70 (backlight repair) = $140 not so well spent! 3.) Backlight goes out again after 2 hours!!! Because we had gotten into a huge argument, I chose to go to someone else to repair the backlight circuit once again. The gentlemen fixed the backlight circuit, but it burned again! He was kind enough to give my money back for a problem he could not resolve. 4.) I had given up on the phone because all others suggested my logic board was fried and could never be fixed. I gave my still new screen to my brother because he also had a broken iPhone 6 screen. Can you guess what happenes next??? HIS SCREEN GOES BLACK AFTER A FEW HOURS! We immediately remove the screen (the one purchased from Peachtree Computers) and put his old one back one. Luckily, we got it off before the circuit could burn out. He has since bought another screen and his phone works fine. 5.) Thinking it may be the Peachtree Computers screen that was blowing out my backlight, I decided to try repairing the backlight circuit one more time and putting a new screen on my phone (NOT the same Peachtree computers screen). After doing all this, my phone is now working and my backlight is no longer burning out. Total cost of my repair... $140 (Peachtree defective screen and 3rd party repair) + $130 (Competitor screen and backlight circuit repair) = $270 that really hurt my pocket! Conclusion: I know this is just back luck receiving a defective screen from Peachtree Computers, but it does not give Peachtree Computers a reason to treat paying customers so terribly. They should humble themselves and understand that these screens can be defective, and if they are selling them without testing for a few hours, they should be responsible for further damages to the logic board. Both parties need to be on the same page about this before getting a screen replaced. read more

I have used this service 3 times in the last month. Went in with my daughter's 7 year old broken computer to fix, and ended up getting her a great refurbished one which she loves. Then my son decided to cool his xBox by putting a bag of ice on it and the condensation fried the insides. They worked hard to save it, even bringing in the owners old xBox to try to swap out parts and couldn't get it fixed. Refused to charge me or accept any tips. Then our Surface went blank screen and they fixed that. They said the charge would be between 49-79, and I just picked it up- $ 49. It is great when you expect the most expensive and end up with a great product, low cost and good customer service. I turned on the Inspiron 3000 one morning, and there was nothing but a mouse pointer on a blank screen. No desktop, no icons, etc. I took the tower to Powers Ferry store on Oct 24 2014 around 11 am. Haley noted down the contact details and by 1 pm I received a call on what was the problem. Something wiped out something but the hard drive was ok, the programs and the saved docs were left alone. By 4 pm the same day, the tower was ready for pick up. When I arrived there Jeff/Geoff hooked up the tower to the store's monitor and everything look like it was the first dayI turned on the computer. Familiar desktop and icons. For about 15 mins, I got the after service instructions, Jeff said which anti-virus to use, told me about better programs he installed so the computer runs properly. Peachtree Computers are the best of the best when it comes to computers. It took me some time, a few disappointments, and some money to finally find them but I am glad I did some research and relied on Yelp to find these places.
