Really shoddy workmanship. I wish I had taken better "before" photos of my garments to compare. I brought 6 items to her and each one was not done well. I would have never expected garments from a professional with an actual shop to have this poor quality. I actually had more things I wanted altered and my sister needed some things done as well but after my experience I will not return. I paid $10 for her to add holes to a cloth belt. I included a picture* but it might be hard to see that the holes she added don't match the style of the original. The original holes have lots of stitches (? idk technical terms) around them while hers do not match the style. I had three skirts taken in. She charged $21 for each. Each of them were fastened to the hanger with a huge safety pin on both sides that left a hole in the fabric. On two of the skirts there were mismatched seams*. I showed her the white skirt and she ironed it? Then when I told her I still wasn't happy with the way that it looked, I think she tried to say that I brought it in like that? I guess that's possible. Although I don't see the noticeably messed up seam in any pictures I have in the skirt, including the one I took the day I brought the skirt in. I paid $18 to have a pair of jeans hemmed. There were strings sticking out as you see here* and the hem was uneven upon close inspection. I paid $6 for her to sew a strap back onto a dress. I don't think pictures* do it justice. I expected her to make it to match the other dress strap. Instead it was just messily sewed so that you can see all the threads in the front. I easily could've done this myself. When I asked her about it she said that she didn't want to open the dress up. Maybe that's the easier way to do it, but it's not what I would expect from a professional seamstress. Again, I easily could've done this at home with no training. She said that it would've cost more than $2 had she done it the correct way. I reminded her that she actually had charged me 3x that but it didn't matter to her. I think that you need to charge whatever is fair to do the actual work. She sets her own prices. It literally looks so bad that I'm mad I paid for it. The straps on the dress were also super frayed. It's totally possible I brought the dress into her like this but I did not remember this dress being in such bad shape when I brought it in. Overall it's not terrible, it's just not what I would expect for professional quality. And with the language barrier there was no customer service to be had. I feel like the low quality work in some ways did diminish the value of my garments, some of which were brand new with the tags on. I think that if you don't care that much then this is a fine place to go to. But if you do want your garments to look as nice as they did when you bought them or you want things to look like they were done by a professional, then maybe this isn't the best place. *for some reason the photos won't upload in Yelp. First of all, she is very meticulous and I liked her work. Also prices were more reasonable than the places around. However she made me drive back to home to pick up my shoes for "each dress". She did not accept a single high heel shoe to measure the length for alteration. Also it is unusual for a tailor like her not to keep a few high heel shoes for customers. I needed to get some suit pants hemmed, waist taken in, & pants slimmed down so I decided to bring it to Peach's Tailoring because of it's proximity to Midtown and excellent Yelp reviews. You'll want to turn into the Darlington Apartments which is 1 block south of Peachtree Valley and park in the Darlinton Apt parking lot out front. + Turnaround Time: (5/5) I came in on a Friday right before close and at first glance, it's a tiny and unimpressive looking shop with a single mirror on the wall. However, the owner is a very nice lady and walks you through the typical steps and makes recommendations. After all was said and done, she told me it would be ready by Tuesday. I'm used to seeing a turnaround time of at least one week for any other tailor so I said "okay, so in two weeks? Should be fine!" And to my surprise, she said "No! This upcoming Tuesday!" That is FAST! + Quality of Work: (4/5) First thought? NAILED IT! The work was excellent, the pants were hemmed with a half break, waist fit just right, and pants slimmed as requested - it needed zero adjustments. The only thing I didn't like was the waist was taken down and the extra cloth on the interior band wasn't tucked/hidden as other tailors have done. Not visible when worn but a minor detail in workmanship. + Overall: (5/5) For quality work and fast turnaround time, all at an affordable price? This place is a winner in my books read more

She is very nice and she did my work pretty quickly. When I came back and tried the fit, she suggested that there was something more that can be done and quickly went inside and did that in 10 min. Peach's Tailoring: The reason Yelp needs a six star option. While modeling a still slightly-too-small bridesmaid's dress for a friend in anticipation of performing bridesmaid-ly duties in an upcoming wedding, the zipper popped. Mildly concerning in most cases, but in this case, sent me into full-blown panic mode because the wedding was in less than a week. And in San Francisco. PROBLEM. After my usual seamstress (my mom) told me this repair was above her skill level, I turned to calling anyone I could find, only to be laughed at when I requested a serious repair (let out a lined dress with virtually no extra fabric at the seems and replace the zipper) in just 72 hours. However, I felt a twinge of hope when I came across Peach's on Yelp, and I saw their two glowing reviews from bridesmaids in similar conundrums. I showed up at her little shop on the lower level of the Darlington Apartment building first thing Monday morning (she's open 10am-6pm), tearfully explained my plight, and tried on the dress. I don't think she knew much English, but she marked up the dress, said a lot of "uh huh, uh huh," and nodded a lot. Once I was back in my street clothes, she asked me when I would need it by, and, to my surprise, said "okay" to my request of Wednesday! Even better, for this extensive repair on rush order, she quoted me just $45 - a steal. Well, I just returned from picking up my dress. It was ready on time, and fits like a glove. While twirling in front of the mirror, ecstatic and relieved, the lovely owner told me I looked beautiful. If the impeccable quality of her work, her quick turn around, and downright cheap prices hadn't already earned her a tip and a five star review on yelp, that sure did. Wonderful tailoring place at a very economical price. Just for those that are comparison-shopping, I paid $12 to hem unlined pants and $14 to hem unlined dresses (uncomplicated hem, easy fabric), and $50 to entirely reconstruct a heavy canvas jacket, cutting it down from a L to a S. Just for those struggling to find it for the first time - the shop is actually located in a tiny minimall in the Darlington apartment complex. I drove by it four times the first time I got there because from the street it is very difficult to see that there is anything there other than a slightly seedy apartment building. I have been coming here for years, and I extremely disappointed that after dropping off my items on July 28, and checking on my clothes the first time in September, they still aren't done. WOW! Yelp saves the day yet again. My wife had a bridesmaid dress she ordered online but only had 5 days left to get it altered. My friend's brother owns an tailoring shop up in Sandy Springs, so we took it to him.... he took a look at what needed to be done and was adamant he would be unable to alter it in less than two weeks! Ouch! So we checked Yelp, knowing that at 4pm on a Saturday time was running out as most places were going to close within a couple hours and few if any would be open on Sunday. This one appeared on the search and was much closer to our house than the first one we went to, so we drove over, pessimistic about what might happen when we showed them the dress. We met the nice lady that owns the shop (I dont know her name but my wife and I now refer to her as "Princess Peach") she had Jane put the dress on and started going to town with pins, getting everything to look the best way possible. She even asked if she could take extra fabric and make straps for the dress. When we asked if she could have it done by Thursday she quickly responded "Oh yes, I can do!" We were amazed. And if that wasn't enough, I picked up a suit on Sunday and brought it to her Monday and she had no problem having THAT done by Thursday as well, even with having to remove and reattach the sleeves, which takes a lot of work. Just over $120 total for the dress and suit alterations and they both looked AMAZING and were completed when promised. We will use Peach for all our future alteration needs! read more

I came in to repair a dress that had torn along the seam. I was told to wait a few minutes for her to see it. I waited for MAYBE 2 minutes and the dress looked great! I have to give this place the highest recommendation. I had a bridesmaid's dress that I procrastinated on getting altered (I swore I would lose those last 10 pounds!) then had all of 3 days to get the thing altered before I was flying to the wedding. Dropped the dress off on Tuesday first thing, and it was ready before my Thursday afternoon flight. When I picked it up, one of the boob seams was doing that wierd pucker thing, and she took it in the back and whipped it together in 10 minutes. Plus, it only cost $60! I still can't believe my good fortune, and would recommend this place to anyone. read more

IF YOU'RE NOT WHITE DON'T GO HERE. I'm in shock. I went to have my pants hemmed and Peach- (I think this is her name) told me she couldn't help me because I am "TOO DIFFERENT." WTF???!!! I'm mixed race black with big hair- is that what she meant? I know her English isn't great but you can't hem my pants which is very simple to do for no other reason than I'm different? But this is Atlanta??? ARE YOU BEING SERIOUS? If I could give her 100 stars, I would. As many women have done before me, I foolishly ordered my bridesmaid dress too small. "I'll lose the weight, I'm self-disciplined!" Yeah, right. After settling down comfortably into the first months of my own new marriage, I also comfortably put and kept on 10 extra pounds. Cue the dress arriving four days before the wedding. When I say this sucker was too small, I mean, the zipper wouldn't even zip halfway. I needed 4 extra inches of fabric that just. Wasn't. There. I read as many reviews of tailors as I could get my eyes on, and all but one had mixed reactions. Peach's. Someone even called her 'Princess Peach' in their review. If only that even covered half of it. I took my dress to her 3 days before the wedding (of which I was MOH in), shaking and nervous that she would turn me away and tell me all hope was lost. She had me try it on and 10 minutes and 20 pins later told me, 'Okay, you come back Friday!' The dress fit like a dream. I'm still certain she conjured fabric from the deep reaches of space. She turned a 4 into a 6, possible 8. And it looks like I ordered it custom (which I should have done in the first place)! Do NOT go anywhere else, Peach is the lady for you! read more

Ordered a backless form fitting dress for my Galentine's trip to Las Vegas, and it ended up being a bit loose around my shoulder area. The dress has a lace layer over a solid white layer, and I was worried it would be difficult to alter. I took it to Peach's and she had me try it on and pinned it where she would take it in. She told me she would have it ready within 5 days. I came back to pick it up and it was perfect! I was so surprised she was able to deal with such a difficult material. The total came out to 20$. Peach is an expert tailor who gives great personal service and is extremely friendly. She expertly altered a significantly over-sized European suit and exceeded my expectations. The only reason that she is not 5 stars is that she has missed a few promised delivery dates. If you don't have a tight schedule for your alterations then she is the best choice; if you do have a tight schedule make sure you bring that up with her because she may re-prioritize if possible. read more

I'm really disappointed in the quality of work here. I took a bridesmaid dress to be tailored and was supposed to pick up the dress on a Saturday. On Friday I was told she was running behind and that I'd have to wait until Tuesday. When I tried on the dress I was pretty disappointed. The hemming was fine but she did a terrible job with the bust area, it almost looked worse. I already knew the dress was ill fitting so I decided to just let that go. But when I got home and looked at the dress closer I noticed a few more issues. One of the hang ties was completely missing. The eye part of the hook and eye closure was also missing. And there was a piece of tulle coming loose from the waist of the dress. It literally looked like it was falling apart. Since I picked up the dress later than I'd planned I now don't have time to fix these issues. Very disappointed. read more

After seeing all the positive reviews on this business' Yelp site, I tried this place. Biggest mistake ever. I come to get a jumpsuit taken in that fit on the top but not the bottom, and she suggests I return the whole piece because it doesn't fit my body well. After ignoring her subtle rude comments, I tell her I need the outfit back in 5 days, something I thought was relatively reasonable for a place with quick turnaround, as the reviews claimed. She said she'd have it done in 5 days by 4 pm. When I came to pick up the outfit at 5 pm, she hadn't even started! I was in a rush, so I couldn't "come back later" like she suggested. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt, but I wouldn't come back if you need an alteration done relatively quickly. I will say it was relatively cheap. You get what you pay for, I guess read more

Got a pair of jeans hemmed in less than 5 hours (was originally told it would be ~ 7 hours which is still quicker than I expected) at an extremely reasonable price! The shop is a little hard to find, but it's on the second floor of the complex, through a door and down the hallway. Do NOT go here. First off I told the owner the importance of the suit, as it is my wedding suit. The owner forgot to alter my suit not once but TWICE! I then called on the 3rd anticipated delivery date and it was obvious she forgot AGAIN. I picked up the suit and it looked like a 5 year old stitched it together. I told her that it was no where near the quality expected and she still charged me $150. Had to spend $200 to fix her mistakes. Peach's is great for alterations! I've had two bridesmaid dresses altered, numerous pairs of pants hemmed, and a work dress fixed that didn't quite hang right - all have been done very well. She is also excellent at suggesting an alteration if she thinks it will help you achieve a better fit. All of my alterations have been exactly what I needed and fairly inexpensive. Just to add to the positive reviews: I had a nice wool coat that had a (VERY) torn and shredded lining. Peach's is right around the corner from work so I took it in just before Thanksgiving. She asked for a week (since she was very busy just before the holidays) and it was ready as promised. Since it was the lining of the coat, she clearly hand-stitched the new fabric over the tear and it looks perfect. $16 wouldn't even cover the cost of thread/fabric/time for me to repair it myself so I was pretty amazed. read more
