    Good ole American breakfast.

The server and hostest tried their best, but this visit left more to be desired. There were plenty of open seats but the manager was placing a 20minute hold between seating parties. This didn't make the visit any shorter. Food took a long time to come out and one of the dishes was room temperature. Photos attached of the plating. For what they're charging, we expected at least a hot meal. Total miss. The booth itself was not cleaned properly. Food left on the seat and the table was wet to the touch. 2 stars because our server was kind and tentative.

I was pleasantly surprised after coming here for brunch today! Hands down, I recommend the Valley Fiesta Rancheros, the flavors were bursting on my tongue. It had chorizo sausage, avocado, diced tomatoes, an egg, and their jalapeño chili sauce which added the perfect sweet and slightly spicy kick. I love how big the portions are for each plate, and the prices are so affordable! The vegetable and egg croissant Benedict was pretty good and very filling. Also, the apple fritters were the perfect amount of sweetness. As someone who doesn't have the biggest sweet tooth, they did well in making it not overwhelmingly sweet. The strawberry yogurt and fritter pairing was definitely interesting, but I did enjoy the dish!

Peach Valley Cafe is in my opinion one of the best places for breakfast in Gainesville Florida. Personally, I've been wanting to try this place out since researching which restaurants to try in Gainesville. We had breakfast the day before the wedding 3 weeks ago and I can say everyone was impressed by this restaurant. The Apple fritters were so light and crunchy and served with a yogurt base which helped balance it out. The Chicken and waffles were amazing and served with a blueberry butter With creamy grits and home fries were the best combination and absolutely wonderful taste. For my next visit, I'm trying the stuffed French toast. For my first visit here, very impressed by both the food and service.

We were seated quickly on a late Saturday morning which was great. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was served quickly. The Apple fritters with strawberry yogurt were good - worth ordering. The chicken and waffles with blueberry butter had a nice spice on the chicken and the blueberry and syrup helped cut the heat. It came with 5 waffle pieces and 2 chicken tenders - it would have been better with one more piece of chicken. Overall very good The chocolate chip pancake was bigger than a dinner plate. Not too dense, good balance of chocolate - quite delish

Visiting UF Small Animal Clinic and we had to wait for our furbaby to be done. We were looking for a good place for breakfast... The staff suggested that we try this place, but don't forget to order the apple fritters! We checked it out and couldn't have been happier. Let me just say that the apple fritters are awesome, coming out warm and full of apples with a side of berry yogurt for dipping. The Eggs Benedict was good and the Belgian Waffle was huge! Great staff and a great place to grab breakfast!

Peach Valley is one of my favorite breakfast spots to go to in Gainesville. Always excellent and friendly service, it may be crowded on weekends, but the staff moves efficiently. If you take the time to wait, you will be rewarded with an excellent breakfast. I almost always get the Eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce is always made well, eggs are always perfectly poached, and I love that the English Muffin stays crisp and not soggy. The breakfast potatoes that come with the meal are deliciously crispy on the outside and taste even better with a dash of Peach Valley's hot sauce. Overall, fantastic place :)

This place is a solid 3 stars to me. I've been here a couple of times and each time I've had a very mediocre experience. There is always a wait here. If you come during the weekend, expect to wait up to an hour. Last time I came here on a Tuesday morning and had to wait 20 minutes. I don't mind waiting, but I didn't expect it to be busy during a weekday. Last time I visited here, I ordered the traditional eggs Benedict. It was really disappointing. The hollandaise sauce was not good at all. It tasted oddly sour and not like a traditional eggs Benedict. Eggs Benedict is my go-to brunch option, but it was probably the worst eggs Benedict I've had. I thought the price was very average for an eggs Benedict but it wasn't worth it since it wasn't good. The potatoes on the other hand, were the best potatoes I've had in a while! I loved how crispy they were. I would definitely order just a plate of potatoes next time. Overall, this place isn't a brunch spot I would recommend to anyone. The dishes are very mediocre and not worth the price.

I have always enjoyed Peach Valley, especially the Gainesville location. I first came here when I was still going to school at UF, which has now been over a decade. The food here is breakfast, brunch, and lunch. I normally get an order of apple fritters to start and have a lunch entree. This most recent time, I had a lunch meeting with some coworkers and decided for some lighter fare, just a sante fe chicken wrap. It was very tasty. I opted for cole slaw instead of fries - the cole slaw was a little wetter than what I normally like but was very good. Service was great.

This is definitely a unique place you want to try out! Menu selection stands out meeting with every kind of mood you're in. I live in Miami and was looking for a breakfast/brunch place and a friend recommended Peach Valley Café. A few minutes drive from our air bnb and wait was only 15 minutes after a 35 minute expectation. Warm environment, our server was Emily who was very efficient and recommended several options. I have tried the French toast, pancakes, burger, egg and bacon sandwich and my personal dish and favorite was the croissant philly with eggs Benedict: a unique and authentic flavor! Parking is hard to find right in front of the restaurant but it's located in a shopping plaza so if you don't mind a 40 step walk this is your place. They also have expresso if you're into having more than regular coffee, prices are extremely good. Definitely a family place.

We tried Peach Valley this morning and she was happy but I was not. Her eggs Benedict was awesome and she has an amazing pallet, so I believe her. My chicken and waffles on the other hand... overcooked and dry chicken coupled with overcooked and dry waffles. The syrup and butter was a must to grease the pipes so the aforementioned could just get down. Disappointing to say the least coupled with a $5 cup of OJ. Let's go Brandon... thanks for the overpriced crap.

Great place for breakfast or brunch. Made it in just in time for no waiting to sit. Really enjoyed everything from the cheese grits to the waffle chicken.

A Gainesville classic for brunch. Whenever I want to grab breakfast with my friends I always come here - Peach Valley has comfort southern food served with really friendly servers. My favorite items to get at this restaurant are the apple fritters and the chicken and waffles. I've had a lot of other delicious things on their menu but those two are consistently good. The apple fritters come as little fried balls of apple and dough. The server will shake them up in a bag to coat them with sugar. You can enjoy the fritters by dipping them in a cold strawberry yogurt sauce - I would definitely recommend this appetizer for first timers here! The only menu items I didn't like so much were the mimosas and the biscuits with gravy. The latter I felt like I could make at home and the presentation was pretty off putting. The glass of mimosa tasted very cheap and just not what I was expecting; it wasn't very cold when it got to my table either. Like many brunch places, you can expect higher prices and a huge line. A plate of food is around $11 and you can expect to wait over an hour if the restaurant is busy. However, the great thing about Peach Valley is that you can make reservations ahead of time. So, definitely think about calling ahead if you do not want to wait in a line. The busiest times are, of course, weekend mornings.

The pics aren't that nice because we were starving and took some bites but I really wanted to take some to make this review. This was our second time here and we really loved it! Not pictured but we got the Caramel Iced Coffee, we're super picky with coffee and found this one to be really good. The food was awesome, the only complaints we had were that the eggs needed a lot of salt and the biscuit was a tad dry since it was so big, one of the bigger potatoes weren't cooked throughly but the rest was amazing and those things wouldn't stop me from eating there again. I don't know if this is a thing the waitresses are asked to do but both times I went they were extremely nice and complimented me

Needless to say this the Metro diner truly surpassed my expectations. We walked in and were greeted immediately and asked if we would like to sit outside which is a covered area or indoors. We chose inside given it being a hot humid day and wanting that extra comfort. The vibe felt amazing with all the smiles and yes even though busy all the wait staff was hopping doing their business! We were seated and told about the specials and given the menu. I was unsure what I wanted because I think I could have eaten a little bit of everything! I did ask the waitress a couple of suggestions and one of them was the pancakes I had chosen. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner all day! How cool is that and rare. They had a chicken and waffle special that was actually half a chicken ( pieces ) fried with Belgium waffles, powdered sugar and sweet strawberry butter served with their signature sweet and spicy sauce. I'll be honest when I had seen someone else get their plate I was surprised. It looked absolutely incredible and well tremendous. On their specials they had banana pudding pancakes or waffles, this also sounded amazing. It had walnuts, butter and powdered sugar and definitely banana. I am most certainly glad that I chose this as it was incredibly. Super fluffy, flavorful and the banana was not overwhelming there was a perfect balance of flavors. There was a sauce on them that I assume was the banana pudding. It was light and just enough to not overpower the pancake itself. We had also ordered croissant French toast and my son absolutely loved them. They were crispy on the outside yet fluffy and flavorful with a fantastic texture topped with some powdered sugar. Some ordered hash browns, these were also delicious and homemade with a great texture and the portion like all the other dishes pretty large. We had all tried the biscuits and gravy. These too were delicious with such a nice balance of flavors. The biscuits indeed homemade. We were all very pleased with everything. Some eggs over easy and bacon cooked perfectly. The coffee honestly the best I've had in years. I'm a coffee drinker and I cannot figure this coffee was outstanding! I had four cups and wish for more ha ha. Best of all I must compliment the service. I have not been to a restaurant of any sort with such attentive service, quality service as we received here in years. The waitress kept refilling my coffee and water, brought my son more soda ( even a container to take his home ) asked everyone if they needed anything at appropriate times and was extremely kind and considerate. I will be back and I highly recommend the Metro Diner for a great meal, quality service and relaxed environment that you will enjoy. Seating is divided between indoor and outdoor patio. Order at the counter, get a number and then they will bring food out to you. Self serve water is available inside. We were there a busy day. Wait to order wasn't too bad and we found a table outside, but nobody was bussing any tables so basically customers sitting down were left clearing the dishes from the table of the people before them & wiping down the table. Nobody from the restaurant came out to help or apologize and it wasn't until dishes were almost toppling out of the bin that anyone took them away. Menu is pretty diverse - you can get some traditional items or more eclectic. We ordered the green goddess salad, croque mademoiselle (ham & cheese sandwich) on gluten free bread & okonomiyaki (japanese pancakes with cloud eggs). It took probably 30 min to get our food. The food presentation is really lovely & feels special when it's delivered. However, taste left something to be desired. The Japanese pancakes weren't good. The egg specifically looked really pretty all puffed up, but was so bad none of us were willing to have more than one bite. There were some other funky flavors going on there as well that detracted from enjoying it. The ham & cheese sandwich was okay, but the cheese is put on the outside, including a runny cheese, so it's a total mess to try and eat. Definitely do not order this one on a date! We ended up just eating the inside portion. It does come with a small green goddess type salad, which is nice. The entree green goddess appeared great when delivered. Loved the light, fresh dressing and ingredients. However, lots of the lettuce had sort of rotting tips, which made me worried to eat it especially since this isn't the cleanest place. Despite appreciating the quirkiness of the restaurant and the selection of fresh options they offer, we won't be returning.

I went to the Luke's Bagels location under the Standard this past week and was disappointed. I hadn't been here in a little bit, especially since Bagels & Co. just opened down the street. But I was craving a Luke's Bagels, so I got there around 8:30, when they opened ready to order. Unfortunately, no one was at the counter when I came in. Someone popped out from the back to take my order a little while's later though. Their bagel selection was extremely limited, more so than usual. They didn't have poppy seed or sesame seed bagels. This was surprising, as I thought this location was sent fresh bagels each morning, I guess not. Luckily, I was able to order a bacon, egg, and cheese on a toasted Asiago, along with a toasted plain bagel with strawberry cream cheese. This took roughly 15 minutes to come out, which was longer than I expected. Upon delving into my bagels, I noticed a couple things that were different from my previous visits last semester. The bagels were definitely smaller, had less cream cheese, and didn't taste as fresh. The BEC had ample amounts of American cheese and the eggs were good, but there was barely any bacon! There was MAYBE two meager pieces on the bagel, I didn't even get bacon in most of my bites. The Asiago bagel still had a decent taste, with a nice sharp Asiago. But it just wasn't very fresh tasting like they've been in the past. The texture wasn't awful, but it wasn't what it used to be. The plain bagel with cream cheese was lackluster. The plain bagel was just fine, as it too was not very fresh. The strawberry cream cheese was decent and not too sweet, which I appreciate. I also like that their cream cheeses have more of whipped texture to them. But there certainly wasn't as much cream cheese on this bagel as I've received in the past! Overall, I was not very pleased with my experience here. The bagels were not fresh at all, the sandwich was lacking bacon, and I just thought the quality appeared be lower. Maybe I came on an off day, but the bagels were not fresh and the assortment they had available was very limited. The texture of the bagels still has a softer center, with a chewy outside , but the outside was too chewy and hard. The size and portions were decreased as well. The BEC had too much cheap, American cheese, and lacked bacon. The plain bagel with cream cheese didn't have much smear on it. For being about $19 for two bagels, not worth it. This makes me sad as I used to love Luke's, but this was not a good visit. I hope next time I come here it is better!
