we have used the end of life service from Terri Sue Wright . she was excellent. our animals were…read morecomfortable with her. and she treated them beautifully. currently our dog has seen her from six months old. she is now 8. we decided if we ever had a new pet, we would see her. yes, it is different. yes, it can be more expense. but is it? our dog is healthy. we follow her plan. the vet gets on the floor and checks the dog. while rubbing and talking to her. it is so nice. the dog is completely at ease. we go once a year for the annual check up. I don't buy flea treatments. she never has them. I get all information of healthy food. I do not have to brush my dogs teeth. they and gums are always good. she has no issues of constipation or runs. she never has dog breath, or smelly coat. i put all of this on her food. the staff here is wonderful also. it really is a great place.

I have nothing but good things to say about the vet techs and other staff. They were very attentive…read moreand responsive to all of our needs. Dr Terri Sue tried very hard to help our Basset who has numerous skin lumps. We'd tried Western medicine for years, which helped very little and she had great ideas about supporting our dog's health with raw food and supplements. Some of the treatments were a bit unconventional but I was willing to go for it and we had a lot of hope. Unfortunately, after six months, the treatment didn't help and she got worse. We decided to see a specialist at OVRA, who incidentally said she'd never seen a dog as bad as ours -- she had 22 lumps all over her body -- twice as many as when we'd started treatment with Balance. Unfortunately, when Dr Terri Sue found out that we were seeing a specialist (we told her), she said they would "poison" our dog and fired us as patients despite my attempt to use both modes of treatment to optimize Stella's chances for good health. That left a negative impression with me. I'm a health care provider and welcome second opinions and often send my patients to specialists. That she doesn't do the same unfortunately makes me think less of her as a professional and a doctor. I wish we could still see her because she has a passion to give animals the best care, but I feel she's very single minded in her approach to care.

I feel like I'm have a voice in the direction of the care of my dog, she provides me with options for non-unguent matters. allow me to be a partner in care. Her team provides estimates for treatments and diagnostics; she is a true partner in the complicated treatment of my dog with severe skin allergies who is now developing asthma. In my 45 years of having dogs in my life, Dr. Hewitt is by far the best vet I have had the pleasure of working with. Dog allergies are frustrating and difficult to manage, as are any chronic ongoing condition. Yes, ongoing care of a chronic condition is costly both financially and emotionally, and Dr. Hewitt and her staff understand the challenges. I never feel judged if my dog is not improving, Dr. Hewitt has thought me to understand the ups and downs of managing long term chronic conditions. In reviewing the negative experience, I have not experience on yelp, they are not consistent with my experience with Pawsitive Wellness, Dr. Hewitt and her team.

Her care was evident. We didn't know what to expect.... Truly, we couldn't have had a better experience ‍ We were treated with respect and compassion. That means everything. Dakotah's sweetness with our senior was really special. He had such a sincere and gentle manner with our Boo, we're grateful for his presence during our visit. Dr. Jenny Davies was absolutely remarkable. Her genuine nature and ability to diagnose and explain each scenario really helped us navigate a tough situation. We have deep gratitude for the experience we had. Each person we got to interact with made a big difference. Wendy and Renae you made the environment welcoming. I highly recommend PWVC!! This will be our new veterinary clinic hands down!! BEYOND what we could have expected care wise, we feel so grateful to have found this clinic!! Thank you for your incredible care!!! It really impacted our lives in a positive way.

We routinely come in to keep up on all vaccinations and checkups. The staff are excellent. They are cheerful and welcoming and also respect your privacy. The lobby is open, well lit and has room for seating with your critters while you wait. Recently my Shepherd had blown out her knee and pretty much needed it completely sewn back together. The Docs there are very professional and informative, they speak in easy to understand terms and the animals all seem to love them. Knee surgery for a young dog who wants to run and play can be difficult to manage, but with the clear advice, meds and information provided it went well. The surgery is a glorious success as she can stand again, now we just need to be patient with mobility and not let her overdo it until nature can finish the healing process. Today we went in to have my dog's staples removed. All went well as usual. I was able to refill the appropriate meds and we are on our way! S.C.A.H. , you are awesome!

While the staff are polite, the fact that they wanted to charge me $89 for an antibiotic on their…read more"wellness plan" that cost $20 literally anywhere else WITHOUT their "wellness plan" shows that they are massively upcharging patients. They also charged me almost $500 to have my cat put down, AGAIN that is the cost AFTER the "wellness plan" (which by the way you are purchasing a "yearly plan" that you CANNOT CANCEL EVEN IF YOUR PET IS DEAD), with the other option being to allow my pet to basically just suffer. If they try to sell you a "wellness plan" DO NOT go for it! It is NOT insurance like they will try to claim! It is just a way to get you to pay them money every month and EVEN IF YOUR PET DIES you are STILL REQUIRED TO PAY FOR IT because they will NOT let you cancel it until the end of the year you signed up! Doesn't matter that you have spent hundreds or even thousands of dollars with them, they will find a way to justify that you still owe them money and they will refuse to cancel it. They /might/ offer to cancel "one month" of it (the literal last month that you already wouldn't be paying) to "help you" but that is it. They literally do not care about animals at this company, they only care about profit. This company does nothing but profit off of the desperation of pet owners while throwing their staff in the line of fire to go and upsell as much as possible. I've worked in the veterinary field, I know costs have gone up, but the fact that Banfield is owned by private equity should be everything you need to know about this company.
