If you are a busy professional with a reasonable expectation of timely appointments and accurate information from front office staff this may not be the place for you. My last SEVERAL visits here have been riddled with frustration stemming from unmitigated incompetence, primarily from misinformation and unprofessionalism provided by the front office staff. Long story shorter, I knew as I walked out of the door on my last visit here, that it be my last visit here. If you have no other options available and have to stay with this office, be your own advocate and hold them accountable. If they make an error with your insurance billing, your appointment scheduling, your medical records, provide you with any form of misinformation, etc., "Hold them accountable and be your own advocate!" FYI: There is one front office staff member in particular that seems to have a tendency to give out incorrect information and then have the audacity to get an attitude when patients point out her error...feel free to match her energy...and then proceed to be your own advocate and hold her accountable too. Your time is valuable, you deserve quality care, and if you find they're not providing it, you have every right to demand it. read more

Dr, Peace was very informative. I a;ways ask questions and he always gave me a professional answer. A very busy office ,so early morning appointments worked the best for me. Had two cataracts surgeries in a 34 day period. So I had a personal trust in his expertise. Being a Basketball Referee it took a lot for me to decide to go with both surgeries so close. But was glad I did. His professionalism won me over. I don't like big practices. But that was not a problem. Only a week after my last surgery but it feels great. read more

After waiting six weeks for my appt, I was told I needed to bring my Medicare card and an approval letter from my doctor. When my appt was made, I informed the lady making my appt I was coming to get a second opinion, not on a referral from my doctor. But after waiting six weeks, I was told I would have to pay out of pocket. Something I was not told when making my appt. All I was asked on the phone was if I had insurance, which I do, who it was with, and they took my insurance information from me on the phone. The front desk is NOT professional at all. Needless to say, I left without seeing Dr. Peace. It would have been nice to know I needed an approval letter from my doctor. I had six weeks to get one. read more

The pre-op appointments were handled very well, everyone in the office is professional and kind. The surgical center staff was very helpful and friendly. I was treated wonderfully. After seeing a new large floater in my left eye on Sat, there was a need to see an ophthalmologist as soon as possible, but my usual office was closed. I left my # with the exchange and Dr. Peace called me back personally within 10 minutes. His examination, including various pictures of my eyes, was thorough and consistent with prior exams. Dr. Peace patiently explained my condition to my husband and answered all of his questions, even though we were still there after the office closed. And we especially appreciated the staff's efforts to diligently disinfect and clean all rooms and equipment. Horrible Staff! Please do not come here - The front desk staff completely and utterly useless. They scheduled my appointment, without telling me - I arrive on time only to discover I have been rescheduled for another week - Time off, money lost, time wasted. When I finally go through the process: doctor referral, eye examine - they rejected my insurance. I was referred to this office because its location was in close proximity to where I now live, I had not known prior to this visit that it was a regular eye doctors office based on the name on the bldg. My initial review was not going to be great due to a mix up and long delay in being seen, HOWEVER, they have quickly changed my mind. As I was leaving the office, the Doctor asked me if everything was taken care of, I explained that it wasn't and why. Everyone was extremely nice, very courteous, but there is more to customer service than just being nice. They have it in spades, the doctor personally said if you come with me, I'll see you now, and began to quickly get to the bottom of what allowed me, a new patient, to fall thru the cracks so to speak. He not only rectified the situation, he went above and beyond to ensure everything I needed was addressed, issues resolved and that my eye problem was tended to. When I returned today for follow up service, their attention to detail, friendliness, and respect for my time was impeccable. My insurance will likely change before the year is out, But if this office accepts whatever insurance I have next, this is where I will continue to come for service. I didn't feel like a number or a name on a chart but a real person that the entire office wanted to ensure I felt taken care of and appreciated for bringing my eye care needs to them. The staff and Doctor Peace, are outstanding humans and professionals, I'm beyond impressed, and it take Alot to impress me. 1. Doctor is amazing. Dr. James is truly an amazing doctor. I was referred here by my primary optometrist. I was diagnosed Dr. Peace with a severe condition. Taking in consideration I am only 27. I love how he cares about his patients. 2. September 21. Is the day I was diagnosed with the condition. I came into the office with my eight year old. He previously had a doctors appointment so I had to bring him in. He behaved very well for his age. Just curious at what mommy was going thru. A staff member older women, initiated my visit. We started with the typical eye exam. Reading letters. My son was cheering me on and this staff "tapped" my child with a push and told him to hush. I told her to not touch nor direct to my son. Afterwards I get dilated for the photographs that were to be taken. This assistant gives me paperwork to sign knowing I can not see. But states a remark that was highly unprofessional "you are near sited you can see". I felt horrible. Since I really could not see. 3. September 30. I had an appointment during my lunch break. 11:15am. I called the office out of common courtesy to inform them I was running a little late. They stated it was okay to just hurry up. I get to the location and state the person whom was going to do the fitting for my contact prescription was in a meeting. Instead the appointment was given to me on a Saturday. 4. October 1. Saturday i come into the office at 9:45 regardless that my appointment is at 10:30. Just in case someone cancelled and I could of been seen sooner. Instead I was rudely informed that I was early and they will not see me until 10:30. So I waited. Sherry the person whom was fitting me. Went based on my old prescription and sadly I trusted her. I called 1-800 contacts to place my order in and was I formed the whole prescription was incorrect. This company called the office and stayed the office does not know what they were talking about. Regarding the prescription. I came into the office once again and requested my refund. Sherry stated everything was correct and when truly everything was incorrect. 5. October 5. Today I am here for Laser treatment to repair my retina. I walk into the office 3 minutes late and check in. I state I need all forms to sign prior to getting the procedure done and also a notice for work. Receptionist never did eye contact and just looked at the monitor. I was told to wait until I get called in. Point blank.... this Doctor is amazing I get nothing but great reviews regarding him. However his staff needs help. Or better training. I am a previous patient of Dr. Peace from MANY years ago. My primary told me to see an opthamologist immediately, so I returned to where I know (and it's close to home). I made my Saturday appointment to have my eyes dilated, was greeted by a pleasant staff, saw the doctor and was OUT of the office in 2 hours just like they said. Dr Peace is a wonderful doctor and took care of my glaucoma. He was so respectful and kind.

This is one of the worst Doctors I have EVERY seen. I would not recommend him to my enemy, only go here if you want your money taken from you for a referral. It is a typical clinic feel that is not the problem was his rude staff, old equipment and lastly he takes your money just to refer you to a clinic that does not take patients without health care. I scheduled a appointment to get my eyes checked his medical assistant did not do her job I had to request she wipe the dirty equipment off before I placed my face on it to do the test. Her instructions were wrong which led to me not getting the results I needed. I informed the doctor at our initial consultation that I had already had the test he was going to do at Costco.The doctor informed me after dilating my eyes my nerve didn't look in large and wanted to double check for a $175.00. I paid $55.00 for me to wait 2 hours and put some eye drops in my eye the took 5 min of work and he needed to run another test. I go to his main office where it was hard to communicate with his staff. The equipment was old and dirty no privacy and he had pictures all over his office of his travels and the famous people he met. I guess he is letting his patients know what he does with your money travel not have up to date equipment or hire doctors who are intelligent. The doctor who saw me said my test was inclusive and needed to refer me. She asked if I had health care I said NO "She said why don't you get a job that has healthcare, I have never dealt with anyone in your situation. I was appalled at her callus elitist comment. She left to consult with her medical assistant. She came back to the room and was like she has a referral for you best of luck. I went to the assistant who was on Google. I CAN do that. The overall office SUCKS everyone in there does not do there job the doctor robbed me of my money for a REFERRAL. Proceed with caution go at your own RISK!!!!! read more
