No more double vision. best doctor for strabismus. So happy that i could travel again shortly after surgery. This is angkor wat
Ernie P.

Just wrapped up my last visit with dr deitz. Unlike many patients, i got strabismus (cross eye) as an adult. I though it was due to previous vision correction that had digress. I was seeing Double Vision. Cars from the right lane had a shadow image of the car that would show up on my lane. It was more apparent at night time than day time. It became very dangerous for me to drive. When i closed one eye, then shadow image was gone. Was recommended to deitz by an optometrist friend. I had also went to UCLA jules stein institute but ultimately returned to dr deitz because of his extensive experience and confidence. He did 2 measurements. First one was an evaluation. And 2nd one was pre-op. He is a true doctor and confident. Straight to the point. He'll answer all your questions as if you need to completely understand the process. I even proposed for him to do only one eye but his answer was "if we did that, you would not have a positive result and would only be performing 1/2 the surgery". It has been 4months. And i am extremely satisfied with the result. Very happy customer. Definitely go see him for strabismus. Best in town. Dont waste time going to anyone else. PS: notice someone complained about wait time. Never waited more than 15mins. And i've been there about 8 visits. Respectful guy.

Second, there are a ton of employees and it's like being in Grand Central Station because they are all running back and forth really fast. I was sitting in a room with the door open and I felt like that episode in Twilight Zone of the freak that everyone looks at because they literally stopped and looked on their way by. I even mentioned that to the guy that was helping me. I've never had that experience before. When I booked the appointment they didn't tell me that the dilation would last 3 to 5 hours and I would have really liked to have known that and would have made arrangements for drop off and pick up since driving home in traffic with the sun in my eyes was a challenge. At the end I got Dr. Besser and I really like him. Good doctor that showed me the pics of my eyes and answered my questions so for him, I will recommend.

He spent a good amount of time with me and answered all my questions. Really helped address the issues I was having. I found the care to be exceptional. My only real issue was with his assistant who did my intake. He was a bit overly inquisitive about unrelated medical issues and medications. And I'm not particularly shy or private during medical visits. While I do appreciate a solid work up and documented medical history, there's a fine line between getting too nosy and asking about unrelated personal issues during an ophthalmology appointment. Also, the doctor dilated my pupils without any warning or discussion which made it challenging for me to drive home. I would've appreciated a heads up and being advised that I wouldn't be able to see clearly for well over an hour. I have since referred him to friends, so the issues were relatively minor compared to the level of care and expertise.

They are all attentive and uplifting and they treat all of their patients with integrity. Antonio Perallta, 310-749-7747, d_zirkler@yahoo.com,…read more Date: May 21, 2026 Dear Dr. Daniel Krivoy, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the unacceptable treatment I received from your administrative team today, May 21, 2026, and to request an immediate resolution regarding my scheduling status. Earlier today, I contacted your office to confirm an upcoming appointment. The representative I spoke with was unable to provide clear communication or explain the purpose of the visit. Furthermore, she inaccurately claimed that I had cancelled the appointment myself. When I questioned this, she attempted to explain the situation using dense medical terminology that was difficult to comprehend and adopted a highly condescending and upsetting tone. Seeking a resolution, I subsequently spoke with the individuals identifying themselves as your office manager. Disappointingly, this manager prioritized protecting her employee's behavior over resolving my scheduling issue, completely invalidating my experience as a patient. As a patient of your practice, I expect clear, accurate, and respectful communication. Professionalism is vital in a healthcare setting, and the dismissive attitude displayed by both the front-desk staff and office management has severely compromised my confidence in your clinic's administrative operations. To resolve this matter, I request the following actions: 1. A clear, jargon-free explanation of my current appointment status and its original purpose. 2. A formal review of the handling of my call by both the representative and the office manager. 3. Written confirmation that my patient file accurately reflects that I did *not* cancel my own appointment. I value the medical care provided by all physicians, but I cannot tolerate being treated with disrespect by the staff. I look forward to your prompt response to resolve this matter. Sincerely, Antonio Peralta Hopefully, bringing this directly to you will result in clear answers from you.

Then when she left the room but was within sight and earshot she told the other workers there, "Old Bags reunite.' Who does this? She acts nice and then has absolutely no sensor with how she comes across to a patient and says insulting things. I told her that I didn't consider myself an old bag. She really shouldn't be working anymore if she can't control her mouth. I have never had anyone speak to me like this! If she considers herself an old bag that's Her problem. But she should never ever say that to a patient, that a patient is an old bag just because she feels like she is one. I can't help but wonder if there's a cognitive impairment with this person. I would hope the medical profession would have her get that checked out. Because usually people with cognitive impairment start verbalizing things that are not appropriate socially.

I went to him for eye exams and charting to see whether my eyes had been effected by pre-diabetes. Only slightly. I am no longer pre-diabetic. I was with Heathnet, but their coverage changed and he was then suddenly out of network. I am hoping to be able to get him again now that I have left Healthnet. I only need reading glasses; nothing else. The only issue I have is parking. They do not validate so I have to cross the street (no crosswalk on a busy street) and park around the corner near a bunch of Spectrum vans. But at least it's free.

He kept leaving the exam room during my consultation with him in order to treat other patients! I was literally in the middle of explaining my symptoms to him when he just left the room for 10 minutes with no explanation. My consultation should have taken less than 30 minutes but because Dr. Estwick was so busy with other patients I didn't end up leaving his offer until 2 hours later. Furthermore, Dr. Estwick prescribed me a course of treatment (which included the insertion of eye plugs into my eyes) without explaining me what the treatment was or why I needed it. He became impatient and frustrated when I asked him questions such as, "What are eye plugs?" and "How soon will I begin to feel relief after they are inserted?" It's a patient's right to understand why he or she needs to undergo a procedure or begin taking a medication, but Dr. Estwick clearly does not value this right. Dr. Estwick told me he would send my prescription to my pharmacy on Friday morning. Friday evening arrived and my pharmacy still had not received it. I called Dr. Estwick's office and the receptionist, Emma, said she would write the doctor a reminder note to send it before he left for the day. Monday morning arrived and my pharmacy still had not received the prescription. I called the office once again and Emma told she that all she could do was remind him again. I felt helpless. The prescription was finally sent on Monday afternoon, 3 days after I should have begun my treatment. My insurance company contacted Dr. Estwick's office to collect more information about why I needed the prescription. According to my pharmacy, Dr. Estwick's response was, "We do not have the staff or resources to complete this task." OUTRAGEOUS and COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL! It is a doctor's job to ensure the best care and course of treatment for their patients. I am now having to pay out of pocket for a medication prescribed by Dr. Estwick because his office could not be bothered to provide any information about my medical condition to my insurance company. I have cancelled my followup appointment and will be seeking care elsewhere. Dr. Estwick is disorganized, thoughtless, condescending, irresponsible, and inattentive. He has provided me with low quality medical care and I discourage anyone from seeing him.
