By far the very best primary care doctor I've ever had. Sadly, I've just learned her is no longer with Cedars-Sinai and it is a huge loss.

I just had my first appointment for a routine physical and the whole process was amazing!! The whole staff is cheerful and very kind and the lovely PA I saw was attentive and so helpful. I am so happy I found them as my new primary care office, it's obvious they care about their patients! The 5 stars are true!!! That type of care in our medical system is rare and such a major relief!!!

I automatically assumed it was swollen lymph nodes from being sick but decided to ask an MD neighbor his opinion. I was seen at my neighbor's practice the next day and he confirmed one of my worries. I was sent for labs and an ultrasound and was told to get a PCP on this side (I'm a New Yorker so all of my doctors are still in NYC) that would follow this issue as it's a multi step issue. I was referred to Beverly Hills Health by a trusted friend. I called their practice on 12/26/25 to schedule an appointment and was granted one for the following Tuesday. The secretary was so kind and understanding. She was diligent and informative. She made sure to tell me everything that was needed on my first visit and they'll see me promptly Tuesday morning. On my appointment date, I was greeted with a warm smile by Ayala and was instructed on how to check in and fill out the digital forms before being called in. I had the orders my neighbor had suggested and gave them to Ayala. I'm a self pay patient by the way and for ONCE I don't feel taken advantage of with pricing. I can't thank them enough! I proceeded to sit patiently and wait to be called. Upon being called, Max, the MA welcomed me and told me he would be doing my vital signs and labs today while asking if I had any questions, inquiries or concerns. Max was AMAZING! I have great veins but it's always painful! I didn't feel a thing with Max! He truly has the hands of an angel. Once the labs were done, Dr. Asherian came into the room, introduced herself; detailed her areas of expertise; asked me my chief compliant; took down a detailed history and discussed all the extra labs that were added to determine what was going on with the mass. I confessed to Dr. Asherian how panicked I was and how badly this mass had stolen my joy since discovering it. She was attentive, kind and very reassuring. She eased my mind and I'm very thankful for that visit. Upon checking out, I was told I would hear back from them within a week for results and we could set a telehealth visit to discuss them and if needed discuss further steps ahead. This experience, although nerve wracking, was eased with a very clean and calming medial practice that has extremely kind, experienced and dedicated professionals. I would recommend this practice in a heartbeat to anyone in and out of Los Angeles.

For almost a month, I tried to see Dr. Pakdaman for a simple reason, just to refill my prescription medications. Each time I called, I got a different answer. First, I was told the doctor was out of the country and wouldn't return until July 15. After that date passed, I called again and was told he was expected in the office that day, but he never showed up. Eventually, I was told to come to the office between8 a.m. and12 p.m. without an appointment. When I finally arrived around 11:30, I saw an elderly woman who had arrived before me, begging to see the doctor. She was visibly upset and even crying because she urgently needed medical care. Instead of showing compassion, the receptionist repeatedly told her the doctor was leaving and wouldn't see any more patients. It was heartbreaking to watch. When I explained that I had been told to come during those hours, the receptionist reluctantly agreed to let me wait. However, as soon as I handed over my insurance card, I was told that the office had stopped accepting my insurance plan back in January. This should have been one of the very first questions asked when I called. A simple insurance verification over the phone would have saved me a long drive across Los Angeles in extreme summer heat, only to be turned away. Another surprising thing I noticed was a handwritten notice in Persian posted at the front desk, saying the doctor only sees walk-ins, appointments are not scheduled, and patients should expect to wait one to three hours. I've been to many medical offices over the years, and I have never encountered a practice that operates this way. It creates unnecessary confusion and inconvenience for patients. The waiting area itself was also disappointing, with old worn out chairs and a hot, poorly maintained environment. The biggest issue, however, was the attitude of the front desk staff. Patients form an impression of a medical practice before they even meet the physician, and unfortunately, my experience was unprofessional, dismissive, and lacked empathy at every turn.
