The customer service is fantastic! I went through the Drive-Thru and was so stoked that you don't order through a staticy speaker and its an actual person. PDQ Miami? PDQ stands for People Dedicated to Quality. It's a fast-casual restaurant that serves crispy chicken tenders, handcut fries, salads and chicken sandwiches. I went with their classic chicken sandwich. Honestly, nothing out of this word. Their chicken sandwiches are pretty basic and taste like every other chicken sandwich you might expect from a drive-thru fast food restaurant. The hand-cut fries aren't bad. You need to try their shakes if you haven't. I tried their strawberry milkshake and it was delicious. I really enjoyed sipping on my milkshake thanks to their huge green straw that is provided with the purchase of a milkshake. This location on Flagler Street was recently constructed. It's located within a very nice shopping center (new center). I love new construction and if you do too then this PDQ is right for you. The drive-thru wasn't packed when I arrived on a Saturday afternoon. You don't talk to a microphone/speaker when ordering. You basically drive up to the menu, choose your meal or meals, then drive to the window and speak to a drive-thru cashier and order your meal. I want to go back soon and try their honey chicken sandwich or even the California chicken sandwich which comes with avocado. I'm also want to try their tenders and nuggets. I went to PDQ for lunch today for the first time and had the Cali Club with Fries. While the service was not great and the menu is not well positioned, the food was very good and fresh. When I took a bite of the chicken sandwich you could tell that the bun and the chicken were good quality and very tasty. And the fries were addictive. I thought that the food was a little bit pricier but I don't mind paying a little more for good food. I plan to come here more often. read more

Came to PDQ on a recommendation. Didn't disappoint. I had the crispy chicken sandwich and added cheese and bacon and it was amazing, their fries blew me away. The meal was enough to leave me satisfied and I didn't leave with a feeling of regret after finishing my meal how usually other fast food places do. They come 3,4,5 piece and are juicy and big in size. The quality is really good and you can be full on tenders alone. I ordered the breaded chicken sandwich combo with the house creamy garlic sauce and sweet chipotle. Lets just say that's my regular order now. It's big, delicious and fills you up to keep you satisfied for a while. On top of the vast amount of house sauces they have, there are hand-spun shakes, and from 3-5 it's happy hour price! The customer service is really good, if you have an issue they fix it for you with genuine positivity. It is a VERY rare occasion when I feel like a restaurant hits all of my criteria for perfection.. and rarer still when that place is fast casual; Enter PDQ. First, the space. This place is classy, without trying too hard, and functional, having an incredible well thought out layout that is very easy to read, and get around. I only had lunch inside once, but it definitely made an impression. A highlight of this is the hand wash sink that would make any germaphobe blush. Next, the FOOD! I've tried a few of their sandwiches, fries and drinks and all of them are ON POINT! It's not common in the fast casual scene, but having a limited menu is actually genius, giving them plenty of opportunity to maximize quality of just a few key items. Everything is fresh, and made to order, just like it's meant to be. No exaggeration, this is the best chicken sandwich I have ever had. The fries are pretty good, but I'm not a huge fry fan to begin with. The shakes are equal to the sandwiches(#breathtaking!) and I've not ventured into salad territory, but I wouldn't expect anything less than perfection, and plan on trying one soon. Finally, the drive through. It doesn't seem like a hard concept to realize that human to human contact is a good idea. It promotes social skills, and also makes it really hard for the staff to mess up your order. This is how they do things at PDQ. No speakers, no screens, just people. Love it. Finally the price. I would say this place is maybe $1 more than the average fast food joint, but it is money well spent for what is IMO the best new restaurant concept out there. How can I sum this up? A better version (and alternative) of Chick-Fil-A. Their fried chicken breast is a lot more flavorful, their fries are yummy even though they're skinnier, and they have a variety of other stuff that's just a lot better. Their grilled chicken tenders are great and healthier alternative. They've got a good collection of sauces to go with their tenders like sweet siracha, buffalo, blueu cheese, just to name a few. They offer coleslaw instead of fries too with your meal. Service is great and pretty fast too. The drive thru is always a breeze. Now to the price...I bought 3 meals and a sandwich the other day and it amounted to $32 (approximately). That's a lot considering this is fast food. Not to mention that the sandwich alone doesn't fill you up and by itself can cost $5. Maybe if the portions were a little bigger I can justify spending $5 on a sandwich or the $8 or $9 for a meal. Overall, it's a place worth trying out and maybe coming by every now and then. But don't come here too often or you'll bust your bank. read more

It is with a heavy heart that I write this review about PDQ, a place that has become a weekly staple in my household. My boyfriend came home with a 12 piece chicken nuggets meal for us I share. I bit into my first nugget and the center was hard, rubbery and gross. I thought it was fluke, and tried a second nugget with the same results. My boyfriend experienced the same thing. The hype is real-- this place has the absolute best chicken tenders I've ever had in my entire life. Now, I'm not a huge animal eater at all, so before I'm accused of not having much to compare it to, my boyfriend (who will eat anything once.. Or five times) thought they were the bomb as well. The crispy tenders aren't too breaded, and the meat is moist and flavorful. We also tried the crispy turkey sandwhich. At first, we were disappointed because the chicken tenders were so much better in comparison, but towards the middle and end of the sandwich we were glad we ordered it. However, I highly recommend sticking to their chicken options because it really is phenomenal. The side of apples soaked in pineapple juice with toffee butter dipping sauce is to die for. I absolutely hate apples, but I gave these a try and barely left my boyfriend a bite. We also ordered the malt milkshake which was disappointing. It had a very slight aftertaste of malt, so as a malt shake it was a 1/5 stars. However, as a vanilla shake it was a 5/5 so I'm not docking a star for ordering this shake. Service is great. They had forgotten our fries and just gave us a large order instead. They were very sweet and courteous from the time we walked in to the time we left. Only thing, not sure why yelp advertised this place as having outdoor seating but it does not. We brought our dog in hopes of sitting outside but had to take our food across the street to Panera Bread to use their outdoor tables. Today I went with the intention of getting the kids chicken strips meal for my daughter. Seeing that they now offer nuggets I chose those. I'm just going to say it, these are the most pitiful "nuggets" I've ever seen. They are barely bigger than a quarter and only come with 6 pieces. There's just so many things that are GREAT about PDQ. From the clean and vibrant decor that embraces hand washing (which is a plus!) and cleanliness, to the freshness of the food. I really cannot express all the things that I appreciate about this place. Food: Their chicken tenders are the BOMB.COM. I cannot believe I found something better than Chick-fil-A (Sorry, not sorry). I mean, I can see the chefs batter and fry those tenders in their "open concept" service kitchen. Their chicken sandwich and blueberry coleslaw are also amazing! Their tenders/fried chicken is fresh, crisp and juicy. It has a light flaky texture to its batter. You can also ask for your tenders to be grilled. And then there's THE SAUCES. Top must get are: Creamy Garlic (perfectly garlicky, no breath mints needed) and Sweet hHeat (reminds me of a better version of spicy mayo). Oh and if you still have room get their apple slices with the TOFFEE FREAKING NUT DIP. OMG, you need to have 10 because that dip is absolutely addicting. The people here are friendly as well.
