I can see why people stop here. Every sandwich is a footlong sub...or maybe my eyes were just fat at the moment... There is no doubt left when it comes down to specials. I used to love to hear the jingle of a popular sub shop offering their footlong sandwich, any footlong for $5. This place actually have several footlong sandwiches for under $4 and even a double meat sub for under $5. Take a look at the many options they serve. I definitely like that they give you an immediate 15% discount if you sign up for their text club. I did that and went with their ham and cheese combo of the day. A combo comes with a drink and your choice of fries or chips. I got my sandwich piled with many addons and had them put the meat on the griddle. They even let me mix my cheeses (pepper jack and provolone). The bread was fresh and soft and the toppings were plenty. I really enjoyed my sandwich. I've come here a few times since I just bought an apartment down the block. I honestly would of nEVer known about this place if my friend didn't tell me. I think they can do some local marketing and target their region a little more. I've been doing construction in my apartment over a year and have eaten here about 5 times. Food is good, not amazing. I've had the turkey sub, chicken wings, French fries, potato salad and desserts. Turkey sub is delicious. Chicken wings are deep fried and filled with oil. My nephew took one out of the to go box and it was pouring, not leaking oil. The French fries are great and salty. Potato salad is a bit dull and needs some seasoning in my opinion but a great start. I gave them another chance after a horrible experience because the owner reached out and promised improvements. Sadly, the order was wrong in the end. At first it seemed better today... service was fairly swift, the person who took my order got the toppings, cheese, and bread correct without having to restate my order repeatedly. I picked up three Italian subs to go. But, strangely, all three Italian cold cut subs only had capicola ... no salami, mortadella, or whatever the other meat it is that usually makes up the Italian Cold cuts sub here. I don't know if the person making the subs didn't know the normal ingredients, if they were out of everything else, or if the sub recipe has changed, but I wasn't told anything about a change, and that's a problem because I didn't end up getting what I ordered. By the time I got home and everyone got seated for lunch, it didn't make any sense to spend another 30-40 minutes to correct the issue. The subs definitely weren't as good though... tasted nothing like the Italian coldcuts that used to be our favorite sub. With just the one meat, which is thickly cut, the sub was very chewy, and so much flavor was absent. Today I regretted giving Subrageous another chance after the last time several weeks ago where I ended up leaving without lunch. Another observation is that the ladies who have been fixtures of Subrageous for all the years we've been coming here were absent today; I only recognized one person on today's crew, and he was the guy who frustrated me so terribly last time. I didn't, fortunately, have him help me today, but I noticed the same behavior he exhibited last time as he interacted with another customer, cutting her off mid-order and turning to do something else. The customer was clearly perturbed by this, but that employee didn't even make eye contact and was oblivious to her reaction. I'm left wondering what's happened here... is there new management? Was there something that caused a staff turnover? All I know is after two negative experiences, I'm unlikely to return. There are plenty of other choices where I'll get what I order. read more

1st and last time here but it wasn't a catastrophe, there's just better stuff around by far. As I pulled in the ridiculously small parking space I saw a sign saying $3.95 footlong sub. Those are only for the cold cuts and bologna and other odd cheap meat subs. But killer deal, and to contradict myself maybe I will try one of those one day. As I opened the door I was welcomeded by a pile of trash on the floor. Straw wrappers, napkins, and other FOD. After browsing the extensive menu I knew what I wanted. There were 4 employees and 2 customers and nothing was getting done. The customer ahead of me wasn't happy with his sub having banana peppers on it, she asked if she can finger them off of it, he was mad as she removed them in a weird manner. She asked me what I wanted, then went back to fingering his sub. Asked me again what I wanted, grabbed a roll for me then went back to handling his sub. I paid, and between me handing cash and receiving the change she asked what I wanted, then went back to his sub again. It was a little bizarre to watch too many tasks being attempted but none being done. Again the 2:1 ratio of employees to customers was bizarre as both me and the guy in front of me stood there frustrated. Mediocre sub, Lot's of bread and mayo and not a lot of meat. The cherry peppers were bomb tho. Polite workers but at the end of the day too many cooks in a dirty kitchen, took too long and was awkward, and only an OK sub. This was at 8:00 - an hour before closing. How does a sub shop run out of bread? Then we decided to order through Grubhub on Saturday and when we arrived, the guy at the counter had no clue what we were talking about. It was only until the other guy explained where the grubhub orders were located, did they see a long strip of orders there. "Cheesy Steak, please" As I saw in the window before walking in and heard a cop order it as I was in line. SO i had to try it! They grill it right there, just like Miami Subs, and I wasn't completely satisfied with the taste, but the bread was really good. The place is located in a small center near Denny's by the airport off of NW 30th Street heading towards doral. It is a small mom's and pops type of place with two small flat screen TVs mounted to the wall, the grill is facing the store window behind the counter of the order area. I tried out the bacon burger sub combo which came up to 8 bucks and some change. It was literally 2 thick burger patties on a sub. No flavor except for the dash of salt & pepper and the condiments you request. Friendliness of staff was lukewarm. Staff and patrons ahead of me conversed in spanish. The lady who took my order and prepared my food spoke to me in english. Food did not have a wow or oh this is tasty affect at all but was budget friendly and they gave an ample amount of food. My family and I have been eating at Subrageous for many years. It has always been our favorite spot for subs. The prices have drastically gone up. The "sub specials" were $3.45 years ago and are now at almost $7.00 for the same exact sub. We understand since everything has gone up in price, but the quality has gone down. If prices are going to continue to be raised, consistency with the subs should be top priority. We don't mind paying for the rising prices if the quality of the food remains the same if not better. Yesterday's dinner for my family will probably be the last time we will be ordering. You should not charge people the price of a foot long sub when it is no longer a foot long. We ordered subs last week and they were pricey, yes..but a footlong. Yesterdays subs were quite small. Every member of my family commented on how small the subs were. All of the subs were small and had less filling than usual. I'm hoping it was a bad batch of bread that was delivered because if this is going to be the size of your subs going forward and the prices remain the same. It will not be worth going back to Subrageous. Higher prices, less food and less quality? For that just go to the mediocre sub chain restaurant down the street. This sub shop has been here for ever. I think over 15 years. The place is not to big, but they make very good subs and fresh. They have a huge selection of different subs like in many shops. Be careful with the sub you order, as some subs are prepared with sauces. If your going to eat in that is fine. If not ask for the sauce on the side. You can end up with really soggy bread by the time your ready to eat. The only downside to this place is the parking. Its is very small, may be 20 spaces that are shared by 3 restaurants. The place is pretty busy during lunch. If your heading there, go early. In the evening is not to busy. read more
