To be quite honest, I think this company is some sort of scam. I ordered an ironkey enterprise H350 hard drive from them through amazon, and that I received so thats all well and good. Problem is the hard drive requires essentially an activation code to use it which I have to purchase from PC Nation's website. Now I paid around 45 dollars for this and I purchased it 2 weeks ago and still havent received it. This is something that is just supposed to arrive in an email, and I have talked with customer service several times and every time I've been told its been shipped and Ill probably receive it within the next 24 hours. I'm furious at this point considering they are not actually doing anything to help me and they just took my money and said oh well. I would recommend to anyone that you avoid PC nation entirely, there are plenty of other more reputable and just outright better sellers out there for any electronics related thing you may need. read more

These people don't deserve even a 1 star, but leaving 0 stars is not possible. I ordered a computer from them this morning and even called my credit card to make sure the charge would go through. This company's fraud department said that I am not legit because I need the computer shipped to my hotel room rather than to the address on my credit card billing. I travel all the time and often have purchases delivered to whatever hotel I am staying in. I talked with a sales rep and then to management, and they will not ship my computer even though they charged my card! Then, I had to call them back to get them to reverse the charge on my credit card. Why would they charge my card if they weren't going to ship and put me through all this trouble? FRAUD ALERT: This seller should be under investigation! They sent me a defective computer and refused to take it back! After contacting the company, they told me that they do not accept ASUS returns and that I had to deal with ASUS directly. ASUS was useless too in that they wanted to send me a refurbished computer. Why would I want a refurbished computer when I just paid over $1600 to get a brand new one! After three weeks of emails and phone calls with Amazon, I was able to get the computer returned, but the company AGAIN tried to pull a fast one and returned only a portion of my money back saying that it was a "restocking fee." I was really excited that I found the computer I was looking for at PC Nation - and it was nearly $300 cheaper than anyone else. However, I was in quite a hurry and the website said that stock was limited and to call for availability. A phone call revealed that it was on back order, but the rep said they would check all their locations and even check to get an ETA on the re-stock and call me back. That return call (and another promised return call for more hardware I was looking to buy) never came. The next day there was one unit in stock, but the price had jumped $300. I was frustrated at the sudden price increase but I made the order anyway because they offered free expedited shipping. I wish I read Yelp before I ordered from this merchant. Because I am a new customer, they had to verify my email, which is understandable. But it would be extremely courteous and professional if they would send an email confirming shipment after all the verifying they needed to do. Not only did they not ship it as promised, they also did not send an email explaining the 2-day delay they had in shipping my order. If not for me giving them a call, I would never know if my $600 order was going to be shipped. Rick in Customer Service did not even bother to explain nor apologize for this delay. I ordered an ASUS Rt-N66U online with PC Nation on 1/29/12 and when I ordered on their site it said "In Stock" with Free 3 day shipping. I even called 1/30/12 (Monday morning) to confirm that it would be going out and I spoke to a woman that put me on hold, came back and said that in fact it was shipping out that day. 3 days later no product, when I called "customer service" if you can call it that, they gave me a bunch of crap about how it was limited stock and that I needed to call to confirm the order first before placing the order. LOL! There is NO such notice on the website and they just want your money first, then play games afterwards. I will NEVER order from this company again and am going to spend the rest of my day reposting this review on EVERY site I can to cost them as many customers as I can. Ordered on the 2nd with "free expedited 2-day delivery". The next day the order review said the order had shipped but no tracking number was included. I called and got a very kind customer service operator who said he would look into the matter and get back in touch; this did not happen. I called again two days later and got the same treatment with no follow-up from another rep. Finally called a third time and got someone who was able to actually get the product shipped and with a tracking number to boot. That was four days ago and the tracking says I can expect the delivery on the 16th. Totally unacceptable, I could have ordered the same product for the same price elsewhere and have gotten the order much sooner. Do yourself a favor and order elsewhere! read more

I ordered a Tenba Shootout Backpack from PC Nation last week with a free 3-Day delivery service, which seemed almost too good to be true. Of course, it was. PC Nation then sent me an email three days later stating that the item was out of stock, though it was listed as "in stock" and I was able to complete my transaction at the time of order. I needed this bag for an upcoming trip abroad and the timing of the delivery dates was crucial, but because of PC Nation's lack of professionalism and diligence to update their inventory, I no longer have enough time to purchase this bag. After reading the other reviews on Yelp, apparently others have had the same problem, yet PC Nation hasn't bothered to address this very basic issue. Looking at some of the poor reviews, I think that this is because all the satisfied happy customers are not going to take out the time to say they are happy with PCNation on Yelp! It's only the ones who've had a bad experience. I have been dealing with PCNation for years for business purchasing. Their prices are good. Maybe not the lowest, but I know that for a few dollars more, I will get free shipping and no tax (we're in a different state)!! I have had a few instances that I had to return items and it went very smoothly. Otherwise, very happy with all purchases and the service. I ordered a camera on Amazon sold by PCNation, they took the order but they didn't even have this camera in stock. After 8 days when I didn't get any confirmation of shipping I contacted them, and they said that they don't even have this camera but will send me as soon as they will get it in stock. What a joke, of course I canceled the order. I just wasted time and confidence in online shopping, because of the scum bugs like them. I needed this camera for my vacation, now I have to reorder one more time, and pay extra for overnight shipping because I'm running out of time before my trip. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. I ordered a $2300 Cisco 10Gbe switch on a Wednesday afternoon and ordered overnight shipping. I was promptly called back by a friendly lady, Lidia, who stated that since it was late in the afternoon, it might be Thursday before the switch could be shipped. This was completely understandable and I had no issues with it. That would put the switch as getting to me by Friday. I later received a call from an account rep, George, who asked if I was interested if in getting a quote for product support and requested holding on to the order there until I received and approved the quote. I told him not to delay the processing/shipping of the order for the switch because we needed it quickly for the implementation of a new SAN, which was just waiting on the switch. I would purchase the support agreement separately. He indicated no problems with that. Thursday passed. Friday, the Order Status still showed "In Warehouse For Shipment". I contacted George via email and asked if I could get an update and tracking info on the order. He later left me a voicemail with no details on the order. Just a simple "Call me back." I called him back.. no answer... left a voicemail again requesting shipping info. Today is Monday. Middle of the day. Nothing. No callback. No update to shipping/tracking info. Website still shows Order Status as "In Warehouse for Shipping". Requested an update from Customer Service... they say they will contact the account rep They can't provide me an update??? Why can Customer Service not provide information? Never again. (I still haven't received the quote for Product Support, either.) read more

As someone who owns my own business I would hope that no one in my company uses PC NATION as a guide for how to treat people. I spoke to three different customer service reps and all three were the same. Generally polite and could have cared less about my problem. I bought a scanner that has the wrong software ( my mistake), I wanted to return the scanner ( a scanner they continue to sell) and because it was over 45 days they would allow the return. We offered to pay the restocking fee, we wanted to buy another scanner from them. They could not offer a reason for not taking ti back except, " Honeywell's policy is non-returnable ( but they had already told me i could have returned if it was 45 days or less) and it's been over 45 days ( but they still sell this scanner). Very poor customer service because they just don't care. They got our money and they are done with us. read more

To give some backstory, I had placed an order online for a fuser on 04/05/2012 for an Okidata c5650 model printer. The fuser worked fine till roughly January of this year when I received a "Service Call 980: Fatal Error." Reluctantly, I decided to buy another one, thinking perhaps that the last had just been a lemon (since the one that came with the printer had lasted about three years before needing replacement) and placed a purchase on 01/21/2013. Just this month, August of 2013, I had the same issue where the fuser gave the same error code and the printer would no longer function. Reaching out to the support team, I explained that for the price of the prior two fusers and this third one I'd now have to buy, I could essentially re-buy a brand new printer (complete with new fuser and four cartridges of toner) and asking if it might still be under warranty, rather than having to buy yet another fuser. Mark Foley reached out to me promptly about the matter, explaining that, while there is a warranty it is only for 30 days, however, Okidata had one on their fusers for a year and to contact him should any further problems arise. Doing as he asked, I contacted Okidata only to be told their fusers only came with a 90 day warranty, which (of course) I had exceeded. Re-contacting Mark, he suggested I get in touch with an Okidata supervisor, which I did, and was told the same thing. Mark went out of his way to do a conference call with me and sit on hold for about 15-20 minutes for another Okidata representative, speaking to them about how all the websites for the fuser (Amazon, Newegg, etc.) had a year manufacturer warranty while the Okidata representative continued to state they only offered 30 days. After Mark asked for the supervisor and we were put on hold again, he then offered to do an exchange for me, replacing my old fuser with a new one, should I send it in. Working out the details with him, we disconnected from the Okidata representative (after about another 5-10 minutes on hold for the supervisor) and Mark sent me the information for sending in my old fuser. I sent in my old fuser and emailed Mark, letting him know I sent it in. A few days after, I had gotten a call from Mark, stating they'd gotten the fuser but wondering where the original box and instruction manual were. I had, unfortunately, skimmed over how that was needed and, after a two hour fruitless search for both box and manual from 01/21/2013, called him back to let him know I was sorry but couldn't find them. Rather than telling me something along the lines of "you're luck" and sending me back the old one, Mark told me he would have the new one sent to his office, keep the box and instruction manual, then send the new one back to me as I had sent him the old one. I had just received the fuser yesterday and look very forward to putting it back into the printer and getting everything running again. As a customer service representative myself (with over five years of experience), I appreciate Mark going above and beyond the company guidelines to help me as well as staying in touch with me during the whole duration, rather than vanishing and assuming everything had worked out as it should. When he offered further assistance, he actually meant it, rather than offering it as a pacifier to an upset customer. He is a credit to the company and the reason I will continue doing business with PCNation in the future. read more

I worked at this company and let me tell you they are just as bad as people say. Little do customers know this company is entirely operated by about 20 people in which they run like a slave operation. They fire people for rediculous reasons and make their other staff pick up the slack of another position, just so they dont have to hire someone and they can save a salary. They use marketing funds from vendors and dont do any marketing activities with it, they do however put some of it towards their prices so they can be the cheapest on the web. The cheap prices are the only way this company gets business, let me tell you, pay a few bucks more and buy elsewhere! They are unethical!!!! I cant say this enough!!!! If you are a vendor reading this post, do not give PCNation any backend funds to do anything, they put it right in their pocket and a new, fancy car will be in the parking lot the next day (I am not joking). read more

Highly Recommended!! I have made several purchases from PC Nation. Most recently was an HP Printer. I'm not sure how, but I ordered it Thursday afternoon and it arrived at my office the next day! In time to install and get my work done without skipping a beat. Prior to that I had ordered a TV and HD Wireless reciever for our conference room. Not only did the folks at PC Nation help us into the right devices for our needs at a fair price, they were courteous and expeditious on the order. We all have a lot of choices when we order online, but if you want to be assured a great product with fabulous service, at fair prices, you will be glad you chose to buy from PC Nation. This company is useless, I bought a printer from them through Amazon. The printer's title did not specify it was black and white. I bought it thinking it was a color printer. When I opened the box, I realized it was black and white. I Never setup the printer; I didn't even remove the stickers or anything. I sent it back just as it came. I asked for a refund. When I got my refund this garbage of a company, reduced my refund by over $100!!! I called them to ask why such high penalty. They said it was for shipping and the only way to get some, not all of it, of that money back was to buy a replacement from them. I am not buying from them again. I recently purchased and received an incorrect Zebra printer. The purchase error is my fault, I didn't verify the Sku to the model I wanted. After receiving the printer I contacted, via their website, PCNATION immediately to request a return. I believe they charge a restocking fee, which I was okay with. A week went by before a PCNATION rep, John, contacted me and said they do not accept returns for Zebra items. He said it was a Zebra policy. I thought it was odd that a manufacturer would not allow returns. I contacted the company directly and spoke to a Zebra regional sales representative. The rep said Zebra return policy is 30 days. I contacted PCNATION with regards to the Zebra's reseller return policy, and the rep gave me the runaround and said it was their departments return policy and I should talk to them. John said he will forward the information to the returns department and someone will contact me. Its been 3 weeks and still I haven't been able to talk to the returns department. Beware! PCNation's shipping policy is insanely stupid and/or designed to rip you off. PCNation will normally require signature for delivery of large dollar items, which is annoying but reasonable. What is NOT reasonable is that the shipping service, such as FedEx, is not then allowed to arrange for you to pick up at a shipping facility (which is what all of us who work during the day have had to do since the advent of "sign here please"). So either you are home for the delivery that occurs whenever the driver decides to deliver, say, between the hours of 8am and 8pm, or the package is automatically returned. You then forfeit shipping charges, a $15 penalty, and a 15% restock fee. I guess PCNation figures that people like me who can't be home for delivery are too high risk for porch theft anyway, and are therefore unwanted. So why not scam us for a bunch of fees one time and say, "see ya sucker!" Well, don't be scammed. Don't buy anything from these bozos! read more

Looks like it is a roll of the dice when ordering from PCNation. Ordered a Cyber Monday Samsung television on Sunday, November 30th. When I clicked on the purchase icon it reported that there were difficulties with my order but PCNation technicians would be working to resolve it. When I checked my account later that evening it showed the purchase but noted "pending credit card approval". On Monday I sent an email checking the status of my order. I received an email response from a PCNation customer service person who told me they are not open on the weekends so that was why the order wasn't completed. I replied that my credit card was always immediately authorized when I made other online purchases, didn't matter when the purchase was made. The email from PCNation also reminded me that my purchase was nonrefundable and could not be returned to PCNation. I went golfing for the day thinking that the television would be shipped and I would receive it by Wednesday with the free three day FedEx shipping PCNation promised. When I returned home, I had another email saying that because I was a first time customer they need secondary verification of a business, government, etc. email to confirm that I was the actual cardholder. Again contacted customer service to tell them I could not submit a business email address because I am retired but my credit card company was very good at contacting me with fraud alerts if they thought a purchase looked suspicious. I have used this credit card for purchases while traveling all lover the world as well as numerous online purchases. I was beginning to smell a delay tactic. I told them that I did have other options for making this purchase and I was regretting my choice of PCNation. Received another email telling me that they had been very busy on Cyber Monday and since Samsung would not allow them to sell this television for this price after today (Cyber Monday) they were canceling my order. Went to Rakuten.com, purchased same television for same price without a hitch. I should have checked the reviews before I purchased. read more

I contacted PC Nation to re-ship the item and they charged me a $30 "re-stocking fee". I don't see why I should have to pay a re-stocking fee for an error by their shipping company. I dealt with a very difficult "Returns Specialist" named Mark Foley. I would never purchase a product from PC Nation again. They clearly do not understand customer service. What kind of company would rather (wrongly) charge a customer a "re-stocking fee" than make a sale where their profit margin will surely be greater. Beware of dealing with PC Nation. The free FEDEx shipping ( this company offers comes a price. If you leave, and nobody is around to sign then they will not deliver. I did not know a signature was required. I left in late afternoon. and upon returning there was a card on my door about the attempted delivery; signature required. I would have gladly paid for an upgrade in shipping or have had package sent to our satellite office if I had know I could not leave. IN ADDITION, hold times for PC Nation customer service were in excess of 10 minutes. The sales department answers much quicker. And LASTLY, the email send to me with the tracking number contained both an office number and fax line which I used both. However, the fax number is actually an ADULT HOTLINE. When I spoke with PC nation and complained above above matters the supervisor offered nothing but excuses and said that I should be grateful for the free shipping (I think they should disclose the shipping terms) and that this is the busy holiday season (what holiday? it is October!!!) and that they deal with major corporations and do not operate a hotline. I was a bit worried about all the bad feedback gathered on Yelp, but I have to say my experience ordering online with this company was quite fine. There was good communication back and forth, it is true they send you a single confirmation email when you're a new client to confirm billing and shipping email, but it was a simple matter of replying to confirm the information. Shipping was prompt and as expected. I did check online through their real-time chat that the product was indeed in stock and everything worked like a charm. I purchased an item through their Amazon store front, they had lowered their prices to undercut Amazon. After taking far too long to ship, it's finally on it's way but the day it's supposed to be delivered they recall the item and being sent back and I'm left without my item and still without a refund. After my emails through Amazon are repeatedly ignored, I call and some dude name Mohammed gets very defense when I explain what happened. States "no, we don't recall items" and he finally looks into it acting as if I'm an inconvenience, sees that it's in fact being returned. Tells me I'll just get refunded and he can help me reorder. The item is now double the price, so no thanks. I'm sure it was recalled because they must have felt it was a mistake to undercut Amazon.
