There is a sign that clearly displays Customer Service; like any other customer wanting to return products to the store, I queued in this line. After waiting approximately ten minutes for other individuals to have their orders rung up, I was informed that I need to queue in the regular sales line to return items. They should move the sign if Customer Service doesn't actually mean customer service but instead means Amazon pick-up. read more

Terrible customer service. I was doing a return and the customer service worker was insistent it was not possible, spoke in a condescending dismissive tone, and kept repeating no. It wasn't until I read word for word the return email instructions that he finally processed my return, which was easily completed because he had been completely wrong. Did not apologize for his extremely rude behavior. I had been planning to pick up a few items in the store afterward but decided not to, why bother coming to Staples when you can just shop online without having to deal with rude behavior. read more

I need the cardboard file boxes which were on sale. I went into the store and the nightmare began. The have blocked off isles so you have to walk through little mazes. The clerk who helped me walked away from me half way through getting my order complete. I'm on a walker and it's a tough store to shop at. They have the entrance door locked so you have to walk again through a little maze to get out. I'm not sure I could shop here again. Now the good point of the store is they have a lot of variety, but sine they don't have an Electric cart I will never see everything they have to offer . And they have a lot of ads they don't explain which product is the correct one on sale. I saw two separate buyers have problems getting the sale product. Prints are only for next day, if you want them now we are going to charge you an express fee they told me.... I asked, are you that busy? ( I was the only one getting prints) No he said, it will take me 5 minutes to get your prints ready but they will be ready to pick up tomorrow if you don't want to be charged the express fee... what... it makes no sense to me to me. read more

This used to be my go-to Staples location. However, since they've gotten new staff in the print center this place has gotten beyond bad. I find myself driving to the Staples in Chicago on Wilson and Clark since they know what they are doing there. I took simple print job which entailed of laminating and binding and for some reason it was just too hard for them to do even though I took them a sample to work off of. Do better Staples! read more

There was only ONE other person who was seated at the counter looking at different paper weights and colors while I waited 10 minutes at the counter to pick up my online order. The associate continued to help that customer seeing that I was standing and waiting to be helped in the copy/print center. She did not acknowledge me at all and when she did it was extremely dry and not apologetic for the wait. Never coming back to this location to pick up items for my business ever again. read more

Option for purchasing items online and store pick up is nice, but I found the whole process took longer than if I was to just go to the store and grab my purchase in person. The item's supposed to be ready in an hour, but it took longer for me to have mine completed, and I just needed a packet of labels. Ok so.. I'm sorry for the rant! But i ordered invitations on the website (they outsource the work to a printing company in Minnesota) and i payed for 2 day shopping on the 23rd of June for a wedding that we had to move up by 3 months to July 30th. I called this company on the 26th of June (3days later) To ask where my invitations are they said that there was a processing time of five days. There was nothing on the website it said there would be a processing time! Bu i said on thinking i would have the invitations ins 7 days from ordering. On the 30th i called Again! And they said they will be shipped in 1 day. Wait till the 3rd and still nothing... than on the 6th i called agin and flipped out!!! No joke i had a panic attack because my wedding is on the 30th and still no invitations. After i got off the phone i called the store and they told me to just come in after work and that they would make me some right away. Thank god! When i walked in Keanu and Yurixi saw me ugly cry in a panic lol ‍ The two of them saved the day! Helped me make a beautiful invitation that they had printed for me within 20mins!!! The pen refill sections had about 50 options with 8 different manufacturers. Overwhelmed, I methodically started holding up my old ink cartridges up to each one. Luckily, Zirak turned the corner and helped me investigate every possibility. We successfully found one match and then decided to purchase a cheap ballpoint option for the other two. We knelt on the floor together carefully holding the pen parts, springs and cartridges to see what would fit. With his laughter and helpful attitude Zirak made this mundane task all worth the while. Patient and kind employees like this are always a sign of good hiring and good management. I'll be back. read more

My advice is to go to any other store to purchase office supplies; Walmart, Target, etc. Anything but this joint. Went to my local Staples because I wanted to shop local, but I'll not make that mistake again. 7 of us in line, the cashier wasn't smart enough to ask co-workers to assist and her attitude was that the customer can just wait! When I finally got up to this cashier, I told her I was unhappy to wait over 20 minutes and why didn't she use the intercom to call for help. Imagine my reaction when she starts to raise her voice at me. We are short people and there are only 3 of us here today, so you wait!!! I said I'd be glad to wait for the manager. 3 pages to the manager produced no result. I just let in disgust as I wasn't going to reward this type of attitude with a purchase - now or in the future. Copy Center went down hill BIG TIME. A simple copy job or binding that takes no more than 3 minutes has a 24 hour wait. There is no way they can get a small project done the same way. I had 20 pages that I needed cut and spiral binded. A process which literally takes 2 minutes. Yet they told me it's a 24 he wait. read more

So I was in the market for a Kindle and instead of waiting on Amazon for shipping, I stopped by some of the local electronic stores to pick one up. On the plus side, this store had the model I wanted in stock where the other stores did not. On the negative side, it took five minutes before I could find someone to help me. After I told him which one I wanted, he then began his extended warranty spiel. I declined politely after a few seconds. Then again a few later. Then again, and again. How many times do I have to say no? Continuing to talk will not change my mind. Your poor excuse for a jedi mind trick will not work on me. I almost left at this point. I purchased a large banner. I sent in a word document for them to fit into the banner. They sent me back a proof of what it would look like. I accepted the proof and asked that they proceed with making the banner. When I went to pick it up, I had made a mistake by approving the proof with wording that I later wanted to remove. I told person that if I could used some of their white out tape, I would handle the correction that way. When the manager (Mike) saw me using the white out tape, he told me that I didn't need to correct the banner myself with white out tape and that if I sent in a corrected document, they would make a new banner. He said, "It is the cost of doing business". Mike was great and so was Keanu, who designed the banner! read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE, the staff is comparable to a sleazy/shady car dealership. We came in here to purchase two office chairs because we were in the area. Walking in, the two employees that initially approached us in the furniture section were fine and answered our questions. Afterwards they left but remained available should we have more questions. Less than 10 minutes later, another gentlemen approached us and would not leave us alone to shop in peace. I don't know if they work on commission here, but the experience was so much worse than going to a terrible car dealership. Everything that we touched or looked at, he kept asking "would you like to buy that?, That's a really great item, you should get it". It got to the point where I would touch random things and see if he kept saying the same thing, unsurprisingly he did. Several times we told the gentleman we were fine and we'll keep looking but he wouldn't take a hint. Finally we decided to just get the chairs and leave. The checkout process was probably the 2nd most uncomfortable experience I have ever had in a store, the first uncomfortable being the gentleman following us around and not leaving us alone. In checkout, they loaded the two chairs onto a dolly for the purpose of getting them to the car because the chairs were too bulky to take in a cart. Behind the counter where the register associate was ringing us up stood two other associates behind him, and in line where we were at was the gentleman that kept following us around who kept trying to sell us random crap that was in the checkout lane. After ringing my sister in law up, the associate tried to press the furniture warranty on her and she politely said no thank you 3 times. The associate in the back of the point of sale guy chimed in and started to try and reinforce the warranty and press it on her. She remained polite and said no. Now it's my turn to checkout, and the same deal, the long speech about why it's needed, I said no thanks and proceeded to stick my debit card into the reader. I noticed the cashier guy turn to look at the associate standing behind him either defeated or like he needed help trying to sell me the warranty. Of course the guy chimed in and I was stern in saying we wouldn't have the chairs in a year because this is just for working from home until covid is over. The guy just looked irritated, but at that point so were we. They associates offered to help us to the car but we told them we could handle it because the cars were right in front of the door. The 4th associate in the checkout lane with us said just bring the dolly back into the vestibule. The guy who kept trying to press the warranty who at this point i'm guessing was a manager or lead then stopped us and said sorry I can't let it out of the store since it's company policy. At this point we were over the whole store and all its employees. I said it's fine we can just carry it out its not that far of a walk. The guy started to be smug and said "i'm sorry but i'm not trying to give you a hard time". We walked out and left without saying anything else. We just couldn't understand why there were 4 associates in the single checkout lane with the 3 of us. Obviously no one was 6ft apart which is the least of my worries, It was simply uncomfortable and unprofessional from beginning to end. read more

If you are thinking about buying any computer/electronic device or even a paper shredder, think once, twice, three times and go elsewhere. It seems like all warranties start from the time they arrive at the Staples warehouse, and trying to fix those dates are a nightmare. I just spent 2 hours on the phone with Staples and Dell, and they still want me to do their paperwork. This place is NOT customer satisfaction driven. However, the attitude of the manager/supervisor was highly disrespectful. She seemed very annoyed that she had to come over to the cashier and do an override for my return. When I came back to recycle a printer, she neglected to mention anything about their trade in policy and whether or not my printer was eligible for it. When I called back later to ask about the printer, the wait on the phone was above 10 minutes. The store did not have that many people when I was there, so I don't see why the wait was so long. Talk about a friendly and accommodating staff. I had called ahead to make sure they had a product I had been searching for. They told me they did have it. I came in, was greeted and asked what I was in search for. I told them, and they said they pulled the item and it was waiting for me at customer service. I didn't ask them to do that so I didn't expect it. So I go to customer service and it was the wrong item. I told one of the employees there and they apologized for grabbing the wrong one. The guy searched and searched, climbed the ladder and found it in some box on the top shelf behind other boxes. I was very impressed with their dedication to helping me with a 10 dollar item. They could have easily said "we must not have it." But they went out of their way to accommodate me. Thank you staples employees! read more
