Wish I could give them zero stars. Called on the phone to see if they carried an item. 15 minutes listening to music and no one ever answered. Hung up tried again for another 15 minutes. Buying my soda stream replacements at Bed Bath and Beyond. Never shopping here again. read more

I don't know if it is just this store or all of them, but I went to purchase some items and they charged $10 more than if I had ordered online or did in-store pick up. I guess I'll be going to Office Max. :( read more

Wilge Vargas helped with an engineered print I need done for my sons rehearsal dinner. I brought a picture in of my son and his finance an asked him to make it as large as he could. He need an idea how big when we told him 48 by 36 he said he could do it , but he had other jobs to do before it. He needed more time because of the size of the picture so it would turn out how I wanted it. The next day when I went to pick up the picture it was just perfect. Thank you so much the picture was a great hit at the dinner. Nora Mc Allister read more

Terrible customer service and inept staff! I purchase a good deal of items for my company through Staples. (I will be discontinuing this). I had a very bad experience trying to return a printer that I bought as new. When I opened it I could see ink stains, suggesting that it was a refurbished model or already used. It appeared to be missing a part as well. I sent an employee to return it at the Glenview store and they were told that that they would not accept the return unless they had the original credit card that it was purchased on, and not the employee's company card. SO, they turned away my employee. On another occasion, an employee was told that they wouldn't accept a return because the item was part of a set and that they wouldn't take back just the one item. This, despite the fact that we purchased only one of the items, not in a set, and the receipt clearly stated such!! What jerks. I'll spend our company's money elsewhere. read more

I just bought a computer from Staples and had trouble with my internet. I called Comcast and HP for help both want 99.00 before they would help. Called Staples Mark answered and was very helpful over the phone. I will call these guys with any future trouble. read more

Staples of Glenview is THE WORST. My husband is in retail (more e-commerce) but I understand retail and really gave Staples EVERY opportunity to make this right. Do NOT pay for the anti-virus feature or ANY tech service from this location. They know less than your average housewife (me). They do not return phone calls, they do NOT know what the basic plan includes and they DO NOT know ANYTHING about computers. My only saving grace? My husband is BFF with the EVP at headquarters. If you do not have those connections save your hard earned $$$ and go elsewhere. read more

I took my computer to get virus removal. They claimed they removed viruses, but upon startup there were still viruses left! I took the computer to a computer specialist store who was able to remove the virus, at a much lower price. read more

I went in looking for a diamond cut paper shredder. I had to browse a bit to find them. Three different employees saw me and did not offer me any help or greet me. I lingered looking at the shredders and an employee walked over and made eye contact and just stared at me. I felt very uncomfortable. Why wouldn't you greet your customer and make them feel welcome? Three employees with no accountability and a clear lack of concern for the business they work for. I decided to leave and as I passed the cashier(a fourth employee) on the way out I didn't get a "thank you for coming in" or "didn't find what you were looking for today?". The dangers of employing staff like this is that they let sales walk out the door and then wonder why corporate closes the location or goes bankrupt. You need staff that feels a sense of ownership and care otherwise they don't deserve to be employed. I went to ABT Electronics in Glenview where I was treated like a Rockstar and spent nearly $200 on a high capacity, diamond cut paper shredder with a protection plan added on. Go someplace else if you want good service. You'll be dissatisfied and disappointed at the Staples in Glenview. As a customer you are the reason retailers are in business and without you they would have to close their doors forever. Spend your hard earned money at places that want to earn your business and deserve it. read more

I asked two people where I could find a specific brand for a wireless keyboard in the store, they both said they didn't know. Worst customer service, I will never return to this location read more

Avoid this location like the plague. Of the four times I visited this store, three were terrible! They have the worst attitude and customer service. I do my very best to go to a different location even if it's out of my way. The first time I visited, I ended up crying. Luckily the manager was incredibly nice and I believe someone did get terminated. But this time, the problem was with the assistant supervisor. Don't want to get into details, but she made me feel terrible about a simple return. Let's just say this is the third strike. I will never come back here. I'm still disappointed the one on Golf & Skokie closed down. read more

Brought in a pc for their special $29.95l tune-up.It was functioning but slow. I had to pay upfront; that should have been my first red flag. The associate who checked in the pc could not get it to appear on his monitor. He said the tech was at lunch but would call me in a half hour or so. When he did he could not get the computer to turn on. Their monitor would not show any activity. further the tech suggested he take out the harddrive and inspect it. I told him not to do that. I would be pack to pick it up. I was then given a code or contract number for a third party software repair service. That was the $29 I had paid so they felt I received value. I brought the computer home and had absolutely no trouble getting it to turn on and display on the monitor. I then took it to a computer repair shop who showed that I needed to bring my adapter to connect with his monitor. The pc fired up there as well when he hooked up my adapter to the monitor cable. The crew at Staples is so incompetent I can't believe they work there. Imagine them saying the pc would not turn on; they could not even recognize that they needed the proper cable! Don't even think about using their computer tuneup service - a total clown parade. read more

My experience with this store was regarding its copying and printing section so I can't speak to the remainder of the service. However, if you're at all thinking about copying or printing something, go somewhere else. Don't waste your time. I submitted my poster to be printed through the Staples website, and received confirmation that it would be ready in 4 hours. I arrived 5 hours later, and the manager informed me that it had not been printed. Upon inquiring why, they told me that they had been "busy" that day. I must have been one out of four customers in the store. Since I needed the poster for the following day, I requested that they print it. I was told that there would be a 30 minute wait associated with this. Upon waiting for an hour and fifteen minutes (much longer than the estimated time), they ran out of paper and were unable to finish the project. Essentially this store wasted almost one and a half hours of my time and I was forced to go to another store (the Highland Park location - which was excellent), and get my poster printed there. Avoid this store if you at all value your time. read more
