My mom being the super google that she is said I should unplug it turn it off and turn it upside down. I did that and was prepared to go to the Mac store as soon as they opened. Well guess who couldn't get any sleep? Raise both hands ME! Mac opens and it's Christmas Day and the next available appointment isn't for another 2 days. I scheduled the appointment but called Apple customer service because I have to resuscitate my digital baby. The lovely Apple customer service said well make sure you have all your info backed up because Apple will have to erase all of your data. Nope not gonna work for me so cue Cue Chris and Well Connected. He gets me an appointment and text me super helpful information on what to do and the urgency to get my Mac to stop erosion. At first I was a little hesitant to drop my computer off so before I gave my computer to him cue my mom and google and us verifying his google reviews and his Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter account. It's a couple of days after Christmas and I start freaking out because no news is good news but who can remember that saying when you're in the midst of framing out. I start frantically texting Chris and being the consummate professional he replies on Sunday his no working day and calms the frantic freaking out chic in my head. Then I get the text I was waiting for, my keyboard isn't working but my hard drive is still in shape and working. Long story not so short, Chris and Wellness Connected was Santa Claus and the reindeer and the elf that saved my Christmas and my digital baby. Cue angels singing and praise dancing.

I was properly greeted as soon as I walked into the store. After Leo at the front desk saw my iPhone's condition he provided a repair quote for battery and screen replacement. I was so relieved he told me they are well-stocked with all the parts necessary. I was originally told it would take about an hour and a half for the repair to be done. I was willing to wait so I did. I was offered bottled water to drink. Within a few minutes Leo told me that he assigned my repair to the technician and gave it priority since I was waiting. Now that's great Customer Service. I can testify I only waited about 10 minutes and within that time frame Leo came back to tell me my iPhone X was finished being repaired. Such a pleasant surprise in today's climate to be treated like a valued customer. I was given courteous treatment and priority as a customer in their store. Summarizing, it is so refreshing that Repair Republic is a local Oak Cliff business which treats customers with respect and provides expert and fast repairs. They fix different brands of cell phones and computers. So if you use them, I'm sure they will give you the same kind of great service I experienced over the past several years.

I spilled wine on my MacBook during finals week and thought my life was over. I hated myself bc I…read moredid the exact same thing 2 years ago during finals and I had to buy a new computer. I feared the worst and the wrath of my bank account. I was convinced it would be unfixable again. Thank you to this miracle place my MacBook was saved! I'm also dumb and I don't have enough iCloud storage so I feared all my memes and old school documents would be lost forever- but they were saved! It did take a while, but they told me this bc of corona because there were a lot of delays. It was fine because school was over and I was just laying by the pool. I am very happy with the service, communications, safety precautions, and the success of my renovation!

I brought my computer in to SewellTech because I had some minor liquid damage to my MacBook and…read morewasn't willing to pay the absurd price Apple quoted me at. The only issue the computer had at the time was that it wouldn't charge properly and they quoted me at $368 to replace the board and the battery. When i got the computer back I was told by Luis (my technician) that everything was tested and to be in perfect working order, however, after getting my computer back i noticed immediately that the MagSafe port would get scaldingly hot. The surface of the computer would also get extremely hot and my MacBook charger was also starting to turn yellow and fray despite being just 2 months old. I knew that something was wrong and therefore brought it back for repairs once again. After about a week they told me that they had once again replaced the board, the battery, the charging port, and also added that since they didn't have my exact Logic Board in stock they upgraded it with a better processor "free of charge". I was immediately skeptical of someone upgrading my computer for free, and of course when i got my computer back, it was now having NEW issues with the battery. The battery indicator on my computer was displaying absurdly long amount times to charge (8.5 hours to full charge), it would die unexpectedly while at 6% battery life, and had a whole host of other issues. Instead of going back to SewellTech i took it to the Apple Store where they ran diagnostics and found that the battery had issues and needed to be replaced. I emailed David a copy of the failed battery diagnostics and was furious at him for lying to me and demanded that he refund me the cost of battery replacement. He asked me to bring in the computer so he could personally look at it himself, which I begrudgingly agreed to do. After looking at it for a few days he said he ran diagnostics and that the battery was perfectly fine and that my charger was most likely the issue. He also told me that Apple computers tend to be inexact and that the battery indicator can be off by several percent and that nothing i mentioned was unusual. Both his answers here are complete bullshit, and at this point I knew David was just trying to con me. My charger was only a few months old, had been inspected by Apple less than a week ago, and was confirmed to be perfectly fine by an Apple Store technician. I've also had multiple MacBooks and iMac's for almost 15 years and have never seen any MacBook have the type of battery issues that it currently has after David and his "technicians" performed "repairs". To be 100% certain I also called Apple afterwards and spoke to an Apple Technician who told me that the battery issues I was having are not normal and that David's explanation was 100% nonsense. To sum things up, going to SewellTech has been an absolute nightmare. David and his staff are grossly incompetent at performing repairs and they make up lies to cover up their shoddy work, hoping that people will be ignorant and naive enough to believe them. I also found out that despite being an Apple Authorized Servicer, when they replace parts on your computer they do not use original Apple Parts but instead use third party parts - which are often cheap and unreliable. This explained why my board was upgraded "free of charge" and why the battery was also failing Apple Diagnostics - because they weren't new and they weren't even Apple parts. Look folks, I really don't care where you go to get your computer fixed but please don't go here - David is a grade A con-artist and makes a living by defrauding his customers. David is also a complete asshole and a repugnant human being. My MacBook is now filled with cheap refurbished third-party parts, has a myriad of issues, and will have to be taken back to Apple for more repairs. I'm in the process of filing a complaint with the BBB and will be taking David to court for all losses. I'm sure David will reply to this post with some half-assed nonsense and falsehoods but don't believe any of it! This place shouldn't be called SewellTech, it should be called FooledYouTech
