They were difficult to reach by phone, and when someone finally answered, communication was very hard to understand. I could also hear babies crying loudly in the background during the call, which did not inspire confidence in the company's professionalism. The vehicle that picked me up was filthy and had a strong unpleasant smell. For a company transporting people to medical appointments -- many of whom may already be dealing with health issues -- cleanliness, reliability, and professionalism should be a top priority. The crew were a nice couple of guys, who were thorough in their questioning but came prepared. They were considerate enough to let me sit in the front to accompany my ailing family member, which was a pretty interesting experience to say the least. I inquired online with a quote and they were the post reasonable…read morecompany, so before securing I had called and talked to a woman, asking multiple questions and reiterating my inquiry was for an ambulette service and what is needed for a 2.5 hour car ride (wheelchair access, lay down seat, room for 2 passengers and luggage). This person assured me all was right and to use the link within the quote to place the deposit. She noted that I can update via email any changes to pickup time (previously 12pm), which I did and they emailed back confirmation (to 1130am). Come morning of, I get a text message confirming an incorrect time (12pm), and asking questions I had already answered. I mentioned again I needed a specific time pickup (1130am) as it was a hospital discharge, and that I was already confirmed for this time. They noted they received it (albeit still confused as it was contracted from their previous question), then found they called and left a message on an unused number (not one I had ever given or called them from) confirming my requested time (1130am). Come 1145am, I call dispatch to ask where they are and they confirming they will be there at noon. I expressed frustration as we have been sitting out for 30 minutes and need to be on-time, to which I got no understanding from. Come 12:10, there is still no driver. I call again to dispatch which they say they are here- but no one is to be found. It took 30 additional minutes to get the driver to get out and come inside the hospital (as they told us nothing of when it arrived, etc) which brings us to 12:45pm. Already annoyed it is over an hour now after the pickup time was requested, we see it's an Uber handicap van (the sign visible on the front dash, and no logo whatsoever for this company). I specifically ordered an ambulate as my uncle needs comfort and medical needs should they arise in an over 2 hour drive due to his stage of cancer. I call again and reiterate what I requested and paid for, and who confirmed over the phone my exact reservation and request, and was hit with I could pay more to have an actual ambulate there soon. We had no choice but to take this Uber van from NYC to south jersey, and expressed I wanted to talk to a manager Monday morning and it was not acceptable nor OK that they mismanaged this reservation so terribly. The dispatch informed me that the error is in their inquiry form, but refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing after multiple times of me explaining I had it confirmed with a member verbally on their team, and in no place does the emails rate this was a Uber ride. I could have reserved this Uber van for 1/2 the cost if I wanted that route. I will be reviewing this with our bank, and would not recommend to anyone!

Can I call you half an hour in advance? They said yes. Later when I called, the man who answered the phone said our company doesn't do business with you. What kind of company is it?
