Dana and Carol gave us a handbook full of information, were organized, enthusiastic, obviously love what they do, and gave clear instructions. Sure - as a previous reviewer said, you can find the same information online, but having it demonstrated and being able to ask questions is invaluable, not to mention the socialization and fun that the puppies partake in. There is just no comparison. Training a puppy is a long term endeavor that can't be accomplished in a few classes, but the Byrnes gave us a great head start and foundation to build on. I wouldn't go anyplace else.

When I got discouraged because he was acting up or just checked out for that exercise, they encouraged me and were quick to point out a skill he was able to do that he hadn't been able to before we started. Our trainer did recommend for him a prong collar. I researched the heck out of it and decided to try out. Next class we fit it, and there was a night and day difference. On our walks, he no longer chases bicycles, squirrels, cats and children. I'll admit, price and location were the driving factors for choosing them at first. I'm glad I did! In fact, we've signed up for another class this fall.

Their prices are great compared to others.

Most the reptiles and hamsters had little signs in their tanks that said "I went home for Christmas." There was one cat left in the adoption room and she looked so sad seeing another cat being adopted. I hope she got a home for Christmas because she was a beautiful calico. I went there to pick up cat food for my cat and ended up buying Christmas presents for my cat and my mom's cat. The lines were long but moved steadily. Overall, not a bad experience and I saw a woman pushing a duck in a baby carriage so that was wild.

So nice to have a brightly lit and clean store. The employees were nice (same from the other store), and seemed to enjoy their new digs. Excellent experience with our 10 month old American Bulldog! Wyatt is our third AB from the same…read moreline, but he was more stubborn and physically stronger than the past ones. Aaron and Amy did an excellent job understanding what we needed/wanted out of him. The board and train program was not only effective, but Wyatt was treated like family while with Aaron. Monty is my 16 years old dachshund-poodle mix, with lots of medical issues including painful hips…read moreand weak hind legs. The poodle side of him causes mats in some areas and he's very cranky about having his snout trimmed. Randi took all this into account, and she suggested a special plan to make grooming him as easy on him as possible. I dropped him off in the morning. Randi then did a little work on Monty, then let him rest for a while, then groom a little bit, then rest, etc. It would take longer, but it was worth it. I was so happy with the care he received, and how she had taken every point in my (long) list and addressed each one perfectly. One of the special touches is that they don't kennel the dogs during the process. Instead they have a huge play area that's like a mini dog park. Monty was having so much fun when I came to pick him up. They also do have kennels available for dogs who need that instead. Everybody's happy!

Ive been going here since I first got my pup poodle, I'm very loyal to the places that do quality…read morework and river city grooming has always exceeded that. and at a reasonable price! that being said this last time was absolutely terrible the groomer was very unprofessional making rude comments about my dog. her cut was terrible 1/10, shaved her a one length cut her eye lashes off left patches of hair, split her toe nails. then the price for this because she was "so matted" 180$. absolutely not I ended up paying 120$ for my dog to get messed up and talked to like it's our fault. The only reason I'm making a review now is because I tried reaching out to give the owner a chance to make it right or even deal with the groomer and I didn't get a respons. I'm absolutely furious about the level of professionalism and incompetence from the groomer.
